I had a Miele Red Velvet for 20 years, and this is replacing it (it still runs fine, but I got tired of dealing with the hose issues). As you know the Red Velvet hose had design issues that caused the power-head to lose power. This Marin has a new hose design that allows the handle to swivel without the hose moving. I believe this will fix the power-head issue. Only time will tell. The Marin seems to be a bit lighter than the Red Velvet, could be due to more plastic, not sure. This model has an auto suction adjustment, so if it's on, the vacuum seems to not suck has hard, but if you increase the power setting, it does just fine. Although nothing last forever, even at $1200, I hope to get 20+ years out of this unit. Works like a champ. I have hardwoods, rugs, carpet, and tile throughout current home and it switches seamlessly between all three without having to change the device. Has been a life saver with hardwood floors and no longer having to waste 45+minutes/day sweeping to only have a ton of doggo hair left behind- 20mins and all surfaces are clean af! Quiet, effective, and extremely efficient. No doubt its worth the $1k price tag!

Awesome vacuum!

I love this vacuum. I was looking for something that had great ratings and worked well on both carpet and hardwood. This vacuum has been awesome. Mr. Vac & Mrs. Sew shipped it out so quickly. I needed it fast because my old vacuum's plastic parts broke and the company no longer sells the replacement parts. I did a lot of research before choosing the Marin so I feel confident with my purchase.

Best vacuum cleaner on the market

This is the second Miele HEPA vacuum cleaner we have owned. This is a replacement for a 20 year old model that was working as new but was destroyed in hurricane Irma. This new model has the powered rotating head where the old one used the suction from the vacuum to power the head. That makes this new model more powerful for cleaning longer shag rugs. We never had anything but short pile until recently so the old one worked just fine for us then. The new model’s Head is heavier than the old model but moves relatively easy, if the height adjustment is set correctly. If it is set too low, the head pulls forward to much, as is expected. When adjusted correctly it works just perfectly.

Great product, great service

Awesome product. Our first time buying a vaccuum at this price point and quality but we already love it. They called us almost immediately after we placed our online order and asked if we would prefer the next day shipping or standard 4-5 day shipping with a bunch of extra bags and filters. We weren't in too much of a rush so we chose to receive the extra bags. Everything came as promised on the day it was expected. Great experience. Would buy from them again although these vacuums are said to last for 10-15 years so I hope I won't need to buy another one for a while.

Love my new Meile Marin!

Wow! I have cleaned houses for many years and have tried many different types and brands of machines. I grew up with the original Electrolux canister. Nothing compared to that...until now. The Meile Marin suction is incredible! But with it's adjustability you can vac everything from drapes to heavy soil on carpets. I absolutely love the hard wood floor tool. It's swivel joint is the best l've seen and along with the fantastic suction vacuuming was a breeze. The canister itself is light and effortless to pull, feels very strong and well made. My old vac did a decent job, but felt like cheap plastic compared to the Meile. The upholstery turbo brush works better than I expected and was easy to use on couch and stairs too. Superior suction, Quiet. Rolls easy. No dust smell while vacuuming.

So many professionals highly rate Miele vacuums. I finally had enough money to buy this discounted damaged box Miele. Quieter than my shrieking Kirby, yes it needs parts since it is 20 years old or older, but even new the Kirby is much noisier. I thought it was missing crevice and dust brush tools, but nope, stored in the canister. Self reeling cord is great since my wife always twists cords when storing prior vacuum cords. I smell zero dust in air as I do when using my old vacuum. I love the suction pressure adjustment.
