Seamless and elegant design meets safety and convenience with the Miele KM 2012 G stainless steel gas cooktop. This Generation 7000 creation boasts flexibility and simplicity, offering versatility for the new-age kitchen. The four burners are operated by single-handed rotary dial controls, for automatic ignition. This cooktop comes with a mono wok burner, allowing you to cook with two flame rings - perfect for wok cooking. Simplicity is key: manually adjust the front knob controls to increase or decrease the power level for each burner. Should your pot boil over and extinguish the gas flame, the GasStop safety feature will ensure the continued supply of gas is prevented. Cleaning has never been easier. The stainless steel cooktop enables you to wipe away spills or cooking residue with warm soapy water. The enamelled cast-iron pot rests are robust and durable, and can be cleaned in the sink, and the burner caps have been coated with a non-stick PerfectClean surface, to help keep your cooktop looking great for longer. With safety, convenience and elegant design, the Miele KM 2012 G stainless steel gas cooktop offers functionality and style for your kitchen.

An OK cooktop but a bit expensive

Bought this one a while ago and have been using it daily. For the most part its OK and does the job, my only complaints are:- The large burner is too weak for any serious cooking, especially wok cooking- If you're cooking more than one thing on high heat, then you'll lose a lot of gas pressure and therefore be cooking at 50% capacity. This is a HUGE bummer as it basically makes it hard to cook any family meal

Great Quality

We've had this for a couple of months now. Burners work brilliantly although the iron trivet for the wok burner is fussy to locate in place. All controls are well arranged and easy to use.

After a few weeks dark stains appeared on the burners.Went to Miele and was told to buy a special cleaner gel. Didn't work.Overall, very upset with this purchase.

Just what we wanted
10 May 2021

Six years ago we bought a new holiday house in the country. It was all-electric and one of the few things we didn't like was the electric cooktop. Finally we decided to bite the bullet and replace it with a gas one. The thing that made us choose the Miele KM 2012 was the layout of the burners - we wanted the small simmer burner at the back and at least two regular burners. Installation was a bit of an epic - we had to get it delivered to our Melbourne house and take it to the country ourselves. And we had to jump through the hoops of getting gas bottles installed, gas lines run under the house, rather complex electrical work to replace the 30A connection to the old cooktop with a power point for the igniters, etc. etc. But it was worth it. The only tiny gripe we ... MoreSix years ago we bought a new holiday house in the country. It was all-electric and one of the few things we didn't like was the electric cooktop. Random Ignition Noise
5 November 2020

Had this pre installed in a the new apartment. I think it could already needing a service call as it randomly makes clicking sound. Look up the internet to find what is that noise all about? It appears it could be a faulty switch. Not sure if i am the only one with this issue on a brand new product.

Rubbish!
29 August 2014

Utter rubbish, cooktop lettering keeps wearing off after few cleans. Not cool! In their manual they say only to use warm water when cleaning it, who does that? Definitely would NOT recommend to anyone with a brain.

Stains easily making cleaning a chore after every

Background, we bought this cooktop 3 months ago. Cooking is often messy. Our previous cooktop in this unit and the unit we rented interstate prior to moving back into our home were easy to clean. It certainly is not stainless steel as we are accustom for many years. By A LOT I mean AFTER a good clean similar to our past stainless steel cooktops, we then have to use a special cleaner sent to us by Miele after we reported this issue to them. So we use this cleaner and a special cloth. This is by no means easy. If you clean just a bit where the stain from cooking is located, it changes the appearance of that section so you then have to use it on the entire cook top so it looks the same. Even then, there can still be faint traces of the stains. We have to do this after EVERY single cook. It's getting to the point where we do not want to cook or are taking extra precautions to avoid spills. Consequently, cooking is not fun.We like the rest of the cooktop but are now looking into ways to replace this because the additional cleaning work required to maintain this cooktop is FAR too much.
