Miele TurboTeQ STB 305-3 TurboBrush
The Miele TurboTeq Turbobrush STB 305-3 is air-driven and ideal for low pile carpeting. The rotating roller brush loosens the dirt in the floor and also collects debris. The floor head has an air adjustment valve that prevents it from sticking to carpets. The STB 305-3 works with any Miele canister vacuum. Because it is air-driven, this turbo brush is typically used with canisters that have non-electric hoses. The cogged belt prevents the roller brush from slipping. The STB 305-3 replaces the STB 205-2 and STB 205-3.

I;m buying a new one despite that my vacuum isn't very old. The part would freqently stop spiing because it got tangled with my dog's hairs (and we brush and bath the dog regularly). It finally broke because of movement when I had to yet again remove the tangled hairs. I''m buying another one, I hope this one lasts longer. And for the claim that it's great at trapping pet hairs, well it does, but then the don't make it to the bag, they get tangled in the apparatus.

I spent considerable time researching what vacuum to buy and decided to go with Miele because they are a superior brand. I was persuaded by the sales assistant that I needed this floorhead to get maximum performance. Within a few months the bristles were clogged with hair and I spent a good amount of time trying to cut the hair out with nail scissors. I've been needing to do this process after every 2 or 3 uses so the vacuuming takes double the time. Now the brush has stopped rotating altogether. I note the normal floorhead gets much better reviews and I will be buying one of those next. I am disappointed though as you do not expect this poor design from a quality brand like Miele.

Canβt go past Miele TurboTeQ, it is the longest lasting vac head and actually works. Brings up carpet and mats really well. Powers through a variety of carpets.Miele has the best brand of Vacuum cleaners that last for a long time, compared with other brands. Been using Miele vacuums for 15+ Years. They bring up my customers floors beautifully, especially with the TurboTeQ brush attachment. βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ

I decided to purchase the new Miele Air-Driven TurboTeq brush head and it makes a great job of cleaning like the rotary brush head of an upright vacuum cleaner; cleaning and noticeably lifting the pile of the carpets. If anything this makes the cleaning head extremely easy to move over carpets. It is also worth mentioning that the TurboTeq head logo on the front of the brush, rotates to also adjust for more or less suction. The brush roller rotates using the power of air speed alone, meaning that there is no drive belt to ever need replacing. Clever! The brush rollwr does not remove to enable removal of tanglwd hairs and threads, but this is not really a problem. Wholeheartedly recommended.
I've owned this for about 12 months. It does an amazing job of picking up dog fur from even deep pile carpet. The issue is, the spinning brush is not able to be removed tool-free for cleaning, meaning you are left to clear the debris from the brush through the narrow gap. For those of us with larger fingers, it is a pain! For the quality of the clean, I can deal with this, although my Dyson stick vac can have the brush out, cleaned and back in less than a minute or 2, with no need for tools. However, my brush has come off of its mounting and refuses to rotate. Disassembly is not for a novice, but I managed. The problem is that one of the plastic knobs on the belt arm has warped/split, rendering the thing near useless. The brush now refuses to rotate once contact ...Β MoreI've owned this for about 12 months. The brush now refuses to rotate once contact is made. After a call to Miele, I was told that a replacement would be $179.Disappointed, as the Miele appliances I own (washer/dryer) have been amazing quality and I would've expected the vacuum to be the same. Whilst the quality of the clean itself is first class, the Turboteq head seems to be not fit for purpose even 12 months down the track, and having to spend almost 1/3 of the cost of the whole unit to replace a poorly designed attachment is galling.
Works fantastically - we purchased a dog AFTER we purchased our Miele vacuum cleaner. When pet hair started to build up on the carpet, we purchased the turbobrush attachment. Works great at picking up the dog hair. Is loud however. And also requires snipping and pulling the longer threads and human hair to get the brush clear often. Probably once a week.
Overall the vacuum is pretty great. The main unit is easy to clean, has powerful suction, and most of the parts are of very high quality. However, there was only one reason we bought this vacuum. We have a dog and 2 cats and the TurboTeQ Floorhead was apparently the best thing ever (according to the sales rep). And initially it was!. However, after a while the brush roller became incredibly clogged with rolled up pet hair. This is no problem in of itself, if the head unit is easy to clean. Unfortunately the Miele Turbo Head is anything but easy to clean. Finally, the roller packed it in totally and was really struggling to roll. No problem, I thought, I can just disassemble and clean it, as I've done with other head units. However, be forewarned that this unit is anything but simple to disassemble and clean. The final nail in the coffin was when I identified the issue. brush roller has a small drive belt attached to it, protected by a black plastic housing. This was not moving freely. No problem I thought, I can just purchase this part and replace. I phoned a parts supplier and they informed me that Miele only allows them to sell to official repair engineers. Next time I will make sure to ask questions related to ease of cleaning/repair when I buy a new vacuum. If you have multiple pets that shed, I can't, in all honesty, recommend this unit.
I'm having to buy this as a replacement for the original that came with the hoover. It is an excellent hoover and this attachment is fantastic with pet hair. However, the huge design flaw is that you can't take it apart and it gets completely blocked up, even with regular maintenance. It's then incredibly hard to clear out without breaking it. Once it's blocked, it becomes very ineffective.
Bought the Miele C2 Compact cleaner as I had enough of being covered with dust whilst emptying my bagless machine. Really pleased with it but after having had a turbo head on the previous cleaner, I found it hard work pushing the Miele. I purchased the Turbo Brush and it's transformed the machine, so easy to use now. A bit expensive on top of paying out for my new machine but well worth buying.Pity the compact didn't come with one.
Works very well but unique screws mean you can't disassemble to clean hair out which leads to tedious sessions manually cutting and pulling hair and threads out. Less than 3 years old and while the vacuum is still going well the turbo head has died. I don't think less than 3 years is good enough and making it hard to disassemble to clean is just ridiculous. Brands should be helping reduce environmental waste, not deliberately contribute to it.
