This pot looks beautiful, brews very quickly, makes good coffee and is easy to clean. There are a few quirks though that we've noticed after using it for a couple of weeks, and thought it was worth putting in a review in case MiiR read reviews and might take into account for future iterations on the design. None of them are showstoppers, more small annoyances that could be fixed and this pot would be just about perfect!1. The handle is quite short (in distance out from the body of the coffee pot), and this makes it a hard to pick up without putting your thumb on top of the hot lid. Photo 1. It's ok, but I never feel like I have a strong grip on it. If the handle was a bit wider so that it sat further out from the pot, it would be 100% fine.2. Unlike previous stovetops I've had, the hinge for the lid attaches at the exact same point as the top of the handle. Photo 2. This means that the issue noted above is exacerbated because steam can escape from the hinge point, and when you pick it up, your thumb is usually right on top of this point. If the handle was bigger, or attached lower on the body of the pot, this would not be a problem.3. The pouring point is quite small, and the lid closes right out to the edge. Photo 3. If you pour quickly, you can end up with a spill because the coffee backs up against the lid and spills out around the edges of the lid. If the lid was cropped back a little further from the pour point, or the pour point was a little deeper, this would fix it.
