Milwaukee 2625-20 M18 18V Hackzall Cordless Reciprocating Saw

Great addition to your Milwaukee tool arsenal! I used mine for pruning, cutting, and removing branches out in the woods. A more quiet and efficient option than running a chainsaw for small work that is within arms reach. It has plenty of power, battery life, and durability - I would expect nothing less from a Milwaukee!

I have a wooded lot with many smaller trees and bushes that get overgrown. I tried a small battery operated chain saw but it was dangerous and really didn't work that well.Bought this Milwaukee Tooll Hacksaw with a pruning blade and it performed way beyond my exoectation. The help I received picking this item was exceptional at Home Depot of West Bend Wi.

Absolutely love it!After my aged worn out Sawzall broke during my kitchen demo, I looked into the Hackzall & made the purchase.I quickly put it to work & it by far surpassed performance from my old tool.Ergonomics of the hackzall are great for getting around tight spots. I like the bright light illumination.Overall pleased with the Hachzall.Wish I would’ve purchased it earlier into my demo work.

A plumbers best friend

This is without a doubt the best saw I have ever owned as a plumber. The benefits it offers over a standard sawzall cant be overstated. First it is a 1 handed design, which makes all the difference in the world. Sure you can use a standard Sawzall with one hand but at times that can feel awkward, heavy, and control can be an issue. This one hand design is light weight and nicely balanced. And with it being so light and balanced you never have an issue with control. It's just super comfortable. The second biggest advantage is it's size. It is much more compact that your standard Sawzall so it can get in tight spaces much easier. But with this saw I can get in and out relatively easy and make a perfect cut. And lastly the has plenty of power. I easily cut through large cpvc, sch 40 and 40 PVC, copper, Unistrut, all thread, wood with no problems. So if you a plumber you definitely should pick this up. But you want the m18 saw, I've tried the m12 version with the 6.0xc battery and while it cut all those materials you definitely notice the difference, so spend the extra and get the m18

With all the different blades they sell on the market, this hackzall is extremely versatile. You can cut wood, metal, PVC, drywall for junction boxes, prune and limb up vegetation, scrape floors, remove grout, you basically are limited by the kind of blades that you have. It's a heavy duty HackZall!

Well built, and feels solid in your hand, with some weight to it. The blade collet is easy to reach and is a " no tool needed " operation. You use your fingers and thumb and twist the collet open, drop your blade into the key, and let go of the spring loaded collet, it close. I just check that the blade is locked by manually jiggling and pulling on blade.After the blade your ready to cut, as long as you have a battery mounted on the tool.The work light is bright and is directly aimed at the blade and activates on, with a slight touch of the trigger.I place the blade and guide foot onto my conduit pipe, where i have marked my cut line, and with the variable speed i begin slowly beginning a cut, and after its got a good start of a cut line, i speed up and watch the ... MoreWell built, and feels solid in your hand, with some weight to it. The grip is large enough i can work with leather gloves on.Its a heavy duty HackZall!

Light Duty Warrior

I’ve owned this saw for 4-5 years now and it is great in light duty applications such as pruning small branches, trimming a hedge, etc. The ability to use it one handed is a huge plus when working around the yard.However, if you need to cut anything with larger diameters (~3”+), then upgrading to the FUEL version or a full-sized Sawzall may be better. While it will cut larger diameters, it slows down considerably and goes through battery life quickly in this applications.

Looks goofy, but its a staple in my demo bag

Been on the fence awhile, thought i wouldnt like using it due to its shape but thats actually what i like best. Doesnt have the guts knf my plug in recip but it did do the job taking apart a deck, eventually. Got it in sale and can state im really happy with my purchase. Dont think itll replace your more robust saw but itll ne a good addition.

My go-to cut-it-all toy

So I go thru them regularly, and I abuse the crap out of them. I do plumbing for living, and their ergonomics are hard to beat. One hand operation, very decent amount of power. They are averaging about a 1 year of service, but I beat them like a drum and I cannot be happier for what I am getting for the money. If you are more of a service/electrician/do things around the house type of guy, you will easy get 2 years plus out of it. I do all 2x4/6/8, double wall plates, plywood, pvc/steel, cast iron piping, sheetrock, plaster, literally every single thing that comes to my mind. I only would use wd40 after some wet copper piping demo so they will not rust and seize overnight (something I had happen once, I left one of those soaking wet in the truck over the weekend and ... MoreSo I go thru them regularly, and I abuse the crap out of them. Funny enough they last me longer than two of the brushless models did, I think they are somewhat more prone/sensitive to mechanical damage (yep, I do drop them from 6-8 foot ladders too, it just happens on the job)

These Milwaukee Hackzall's work just like a Sawzall, but can easily be used with one hand. Before Buying a Hackzall I owned a corded Sawzall but after TWO times having Chemo, I was so weak that the Sawzall was too heavy and had to be held with two hands, so I bought a cordless Sawzall but it was as heavy and the corded one so I bought a Hackzall. It works great and after a few years I've gone through over 100 blades. I bought this from Albert Romo because I'm afraid My old one might wear out.
