After that, never heard from them again and I see my review of that drill magically disappeared. I ended up buying a replacement chuck for the drill which was less than a year old. Milwaukee is all marketing now, customer support non existent and quality of tools is moving to be lowered to Dewalt standards. It's a shame, was a good company with quality products and support. I'm sure they will pull this review too, shameful behavior from a once great company and products.

I bought this (on a friend's recommendation) to replace an older Craftsman I had. I already own the "big brother" of this gun and that one is AMAZING! This one is for travel to the race track where lots of tire changes take place. This thing breaks wheel nuts without even breaking a sweat. Smart mode is awesome as it prevents having to worry about over torqueing when putting the nuts back on. I'm sure this will become my "go to" impact gun.

I already have a 1/2 Milwaukee impact wrench but over the years have had many instances where the tool was too wide to fit in certain spaces that I was working in. This next generation impact wrench is totally awesome as it's only 6" in length. The tool provides 650 lbs of torque and weighs only 5.1 lbs! With the lesser weight comes lesser torque, but it still gets the job done for what I use it for. Milwaukee added more lights to the tool for better lighting. The wrench has 4 drive control modes that help you to achieve greater precision with the work you are doing.Obviously with the smaller size you get less power, but I don't feel at all that the power is lacking with the jobs I use it for. Over the years I mainly used my impact wrench for 5" plus lag screws into solid wood and some light automotive work, so definitely this tool is not lacking in power for me. My larger FUEL impact wrench raised my truck and took off the lugs with very little effort, but this one still gets the job done but when raising the car using a jack it struggles a tab bit towards the end. Overall great addition to Milwaukee's line of impact wrenches, win win all around!!

I've owned this impact wrench for 2 months now and I must say I have mixed feelings about it. My initial thoughts were it has excellent tigger response, nice lighting, impressive battery life, and I was very satisfied with the power; BUT, the batteries are SUPER LOOSE. Now at first, I didn't think it would be that big of a deal, but after using it for a few full days I started to notice a lot of debri building up where the battery connects to the bottom of the tool. Which, collects during use and is due to excessive play/gaps where the battery connects to the tool allowing sand, dust, mud, bits of rust, and other small particles which are encountered when doing automotive work. As a result, the battery sometimes get caught up and is difficult to get off. This ... MoreI've owned this impact wrench for 2 months now and I must say I have mixed feelings about it. Which, collects during use and is due to excessive play/gaps where the battery connects to the tool allowing sand, dust, mud, bits of rust, and other small particles which are encountered when doing automotive work. As a result, the battery sometimes get caught up and is difficult to get off. This however is not my biggest concern, I am more concerned with how the battery terminals will hold up over time being exposed to such things on a regular basis. Especially, as I suspect overtime the debir will wear away at the plastic allowing bigger debris and more of it in. Overall, I feel at this price point I shouldn't have to worry about an issue like this and I'm disappointed in regards to that. Another thing to point out, if you buy the protective boot for this impact it will no longer fit in the carrying case, which is frustrating for me as I travel around to various job sites :/ But to end on a positive note, the battery life is awesome. it lasts for about 3 hours but probably would be close to 4 if I ran it out completely during consistent aggressive work; his would be very rusted bolts for control arms, subframes, leaf springs, and many other stuck fasteners.I've included pictures but they were taken after I wiped all of the bigger debri out as this was before I thought about writing a review and i'm not about to go throw dirt at it to take a more accurate picture. You can still see clearly where it is getting in.
Bought this kit back in October 2021. Right out of the box there was an issue with the charger flashing red and green, indicating defective battery but since both batteries did the same, I assume it was the charger. I had to order another kit and return the defective one. Now 5 months in and this charger has stopped working. I use these tools to work with and need to we able to rely on them. Now that I'm passed the return window I must deal directly with Milwaukee. I really like the impact for automotive work but it's useless to me if I can't charge the batteries. I really hope Milwaukee rises up and sorts this out.
I was going to buy high impact, but got the mid-torque instead. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint, what a beast. I work repairing forklifts and this mid-torque can handle the use without any issues. It's not as bulky and heavy as the Snap-on version. My coworker decided to get the mid-torque due to the performance of M18 1/2". Hands down Milwaukee's mid-torque kicks butt. Buy it, it will not disappoint. I use it with the M18 6.0 AMP High Output battery.
I recently purchased a number of Milwaukee 18V Fuel tools. I service my own vehicles as much as possible. I have the 3/8" compact and the 1/2" high torque tools as well. The 3/8" fits into tight places but has much less power. The 1/2" high torque has loads of power and totally outclasses both of my 1/2" pneumatic guns however it is a bit big to fit in some places and is reserved for the heaviest jobs. The 1/2 mid torque will remove lug nuts on passenger vehicles and has not let me down yet when using a single socket directly on the end of the tool. A couple times when using various impact rated swivels and extensions (which rob power), I had to break really tight fasteners- then I could use it to remove the fasteners the rest of the way. A couple times when using various impact rated swivels and extensions (which rob power), I had to break really tight fasteners- then I could use it to remove the fasteners the rest of the way. It has quite a bit of power for such a small tool. The weight is reasonable and the sound level is less than my air tools. I love the portability...no hoses, no cords, take it with you and do a job without the hassle. In short, reasonably light, quieter than pneumatic, fairly small, and quite powerful. So far I love it. I've only had it a month so the jury is still out on whether the power suffers with use or if it fails in general but based on other reviews it looks like the best tool in the price range.
I bought this for general car maintenance and repair. As an avid diy’er, my motto on power tools is buy once, cry once. This gun accomplished that. It was not only able to take off 15 year old suspension bolts, it fit in the suspension without having to use extensions or wobbles. I worked it over all week long trying to find something it struggled with, but that bolt apparently doesn’t exist on any of my 3 vehicles. I researched all options on the market and honestly tried to talk myself out of buying Milwaukee because I’m not a contractor or professional mechanic, but the proof of the quality of this tool is literally all over the internet. I’ll now be looking to convert all my power tools over to Milwaukee as they come go on sale or when I may need them.
Still the best and most reliable battery powered Mid-Torque impact on the market. I'd been wanting this particular mid torque for a while but waited for a deal. Milwaukee tools are great but they aren't the cheapest. I appreciate that as I know you get what you pay for. At this time some impacts are starting to catch up in terms of Ft-Lbs of torque however looking at the release date of this tool and practicality I don't believe there much I can't do unless you're working on ships or 18 Wheelers consistently.Even if other companies are starting to put out stronger impacts I trust Milwaukee and this product. I've used the warranty and still amazed at their ability to diagnose an issue and have your tool back in your hands fixed or replayed in a week. That puts Milwaukee at the top in terms of their warranty and without even having to register your device you're still covered. Any company that pays attention to detail in such a way should be trusted to handle the small things. As for use if you pair this with the 6AH High Output Battery or the 8AH you've essentially moved into High Torque teritority. Like I said there's not much this tool can't do. For most taking off lug nuts and small engine parts won't even heat this tool up. Enjoy!Personally I can't wait for the next release. Until then this is my go to mid torque impact.
At first I thought this was an odd in between impact - I have the stubby and the big 1/2 impact already . The new generation was more compact so I thought I’d give it a try . It’s actually a very usable size and I find my self using it more and more. I don’t need to tip toe as much when I’m trying to break a bolt free vs the big boy that will shear off bolts … if you are impatient and do dumb stuff HahaOverall it’s a good size , weight and comfortable in hand . The extra lighting is great too. Once again we’ll done Milwaukee
