I have the same problem with both of these pliers. When gripping something, pliers will bind up. From what I can tell, the tongue gets caught in the groove. Squeezing harder tends to result in the pliers slipping off whatever you're gripping...which wouldn't be a big deal but the handles come to a point and really, really hurt when they grab your palm.

I purchased this item about 6 months ago and the jaw on it already snapped. It wasn't being misused or anything...I was removing a braided supply line and it snapped on me. I'm pretty disappointed simply because milwaukee is by far my favorite tool company. I'm just hoping that maybe it was a defect in the specific plier that I received. If you are going to purchase tools I don't suggest purchasing through Amazon I just have a feeling the company who sold it wasn't up to par.

I buy all Milwaukee tools because they’re reliable, but the design on the grip is horrible. I’m a plumber and the exposed grip pinches your hand every single time the jaws slip. So if you buy these be aware of that because my DeWalt friends make fun every time that happens.

I purchased this set along with the 12” pliers for my tool box and these guys have lasted through extreme use over the years. The teeth are still well intact and are comfortable in the hands after extended use. I always wear work gloves so I’m sure that also helps with comfort.
These are great for electricians. I use them every day. Less bulky and less expensive than other brands. I tell others to buy them.
Man, I hate to say that I am an avid and loyal Milwaukee user and fan, but in regards to these pliers, I must say they are unfortunately some of the worst I have ever used! Truly, in comparison to the biggest competitor of yours, I even went and bought the 3 different size and very displeased with them all. As an electrician, the design of them to be able to use to ream emt, but I will not agree with they are good for this. Truly, truly disappointed in this product, as is the same from fellow electricians.
Great addition to the tool bag. Comfortable grip
Build quality is inline with the price point. They don’t seem to grip round material very well and the teeth are fairly soft. I keep these as a backup now because they just aren’t enjoyable to use. They aren’t the worst but they could definitely be better. The reamer in the handle is a neat idea but it often leads to not being able to grip the handle how you want
Well built. Quality pliers. Great grips on handles
Horrible design, constantly pinching fingers between the handles as they overlap in the larger settings and the grooves never line up making it almost impossible to adjust the pliers. I bought these 2 months ago and have had nothing but issues ended up throwing them out and going with channel locks.
