Worked like it was supposed to. Horizontally and vertically. Clamped it onto a pipe sense I didn't have a 2x4 or measuring stick. I used it in daylight at a max of 70' so I can't speak on its capabilities past that.

I gave it as a gift. First delivery was completely wrong. Wrong product. Had issues with the Home Depot rep who said I had to return it and then reorder the tool again. I could not return it to my local Home Depot store. I was disgusted! Asked to speak to a Manager and a note came up the next day that I could take it to a local Home Depot and that experience went well. The young man took back the wrong product, reordered the new item, refunded my money and charged my credit card with the new item. The Milwaukee Tool was delivered within a few days. My son has the item now.

The tool arrived quickly with no issues . I have used it several weeks out door in full sun to check grades and it works really well ! Seems to be a tool at a good value!
This detector is awesome. Works great with Milwaukee M12 lasers. Allows me to extend the use of my line laser to outdoor applications.
Allows the m12 line lasers (indoor) to perform well outdoors. Great battery life and appears to be accurate.
Extremely sensitive tried to use it when I poured a foundation. It was difficult even when using the less sensitive setting. still would recommend it
I'm reviewing this Milwaukee 165 ft laser detector I only use this once to try it out prior to digging a drain line I found it to work well at relatively close range as far as beeping at farther distances the Green Dot lit up fine to be able to know I was lined up with the level line. However it does say that it's for use with Milwaukee laser levels and I only had a cheaper Huepar green laser level so I can only assume with the rite level it would have been better.
The Milwaukee 165 ft. Laser Detector is another quality product from Milwaukee. It has rare-earth magnets on the top and side plus a clamping jaw attachment so that it can be used almost anywhere. It is lightweight, fits into the hand easily, and is encased with soft rubber on the sides which makes it easy to grip securely and protects it against drops. It has sound, LEDs, and arrows to help get an accurate reading. What impressed me most is the 165' range which would have allowed it to be used with multiple projects in our yard. I have a laser level of a major brand but it is not Milwaukee. When I could not get this laser detector to work, I called Milwaukee. I was told that it ONLY works with Milwaukee lasers. This Milwaukee laser detector is a replacement for the one I had which got damaged on the last job I used it on. Today I used this new detector to ensure a level concrete pad will be pourd for a garage extension. The area for the pad was sloped in 2 directions so we used this to determine the ground level was true and forms were true and level. It worked as I would expect and I used a level to ensure the form was true. Great unit!
