Milwaukee IP65 Packout Tool Organizer, 501 x 501 x 117 mm

I will start by saying I'm not particularly eager to spend this much on a parts organizer; however, it is worth every penny. I have found myself doing more jobs offsite and need a tote to carry all my screws. I already have the main packout stack, so I decided to get this one, and it has been great. I have seen all the kits you can add to the regular Milwaukee small parts organizers (that are a fraction of the cost of these) to make them clip into the Packout set, but honestly, after the cost and time it takes to put it all together, it was cheaper to do this. The hinges open when latched into the stack so I can use it without taking it off. It opens and closes fine, and I am sure I can drop this thing off a building, and it would not break. It has a nice gasket that keeps the water out, and it works. I love this thing. When I have an offsite job, I throw the parts I need in this, and they stay in place. Before this, I would throw the random boxes of screws needed for the job into the Packout roller box with all my tools. Sometimes this ended in disaster with all of the screws at the bottom of my box. It is worth every penny. I will buy one of the half boxes to clip under my 15-inch tote to take that into the spaces I am working on and leave the stack outside. There truly is nothing like Packout. I had the Ridgid set, and it was nice, priced much cheaper, and usable, but honestly, after owning Packout, I would spend the extra money every time.

Agree with most the other reviews

Great product. Will definitely help me be more efficient and organized at work. However, it needs the deciders for all the bins, just like the low profile organizer. If it had that, it would be perfect. Hopefully once this issue is addressed, (it's obvious that it needs too based on the other reviews) Milwaukee will sell a organizer bin update kit? Bins with places for dividers? So i can just swap out the bins without having to buy the next generation organizer?Other than that, I love this product and I suggest it to everyone.

Fantastic box for fasteners and bits.

Great. Tough and easy not tricky to shut like the old grey one I had that got taken and this replaced. This works well. Doesn’t hold a heap of screws and compartments are a little small and only two size trays. But the upshot is it’s not super heavy like the old grey box I had. Would buy again. Screws don’t move when shut like cheaper organiser boxes and built to last.

It does it's job very effectively!

I had an organizer before this that would always allow parts to drift from one tray to another especially when I picked it up by it's handle. That was very time consuming and frustrating to me.I decided to try Packout Organizers because they claim to seal each bin to prevent that from happening. I am very happy to say that they do and they do it well. I have both this one and a larger, deeper organizer.They are also very durable. Recently they fell and the clip that locks them broke. Milwaukee replaced the damage one without question.Finally. I know the instructions say to avoid writing about Customer Service but I must say that Customer Service at Milwaukee has been outstanding! For various reasons I have had occasion to deal with two different CS folks. They have both gone above and beyond and have been most pleasant and helpful!In my opinion, Milwaukee is a good company with good people that make good products and stand behind them. I am happy I chose Milwaukee products.

Lacks practical engineering

This storage box is built like a tank and has great potential. But I am so disappointed. My low profile box only has 2-1/2" high compartments and they thought far enough ahead to give it dividers but 5-1/2" deep box has none and doesn't have the premolded grooves to add any either. That is so wasteful. I wish the low profile had two way dividers even but at least it had one way. So many times those compartments are only 20-30% filled and you could at least double the capacity with one way dividers. I think Milwaukee dropped the ball on this one. That's very unlike them.

No dividers?

I recently got a low profile organizer to go with my rolling packing system. Dividers for every bin. Makes organizing bits and tool parts customized and easy. Great addition to my rolling stack.No dividers for this one. Long bins have to go in the middle slots. No fitting small bins where the long bins go. Center bins are supposed to be an included bonus with no dividers either.On the job, I've been using the non-packout organizers for years. Long bins are ditched for small squares in a 12 bin kit. Great for organizing fasteners and small parts. Only 11 bins max for this one, and twice the cost!Wish Milwaukee had learned that dividers should be included for all bins of all sizes. For $50 a kit, is it to much to ask for bins with dividers?

No one even comes close!

Man these things are built SO tough! They thought of everything, from the rearrangeable trays to the door hinge. Everything is designed to keep anything you put in the trays in place and not mixing all around due to any gaps. Water tight seals also keep condensation out. You will pay more for these than the competition but you will NOT be disappointed. Would definitely recommend.

Pullout organizing cups!

I just bought this today at my local Fleet Farm. I am slowly building a Packout system for my homemade soap making business. I was looking for a better way to store my supplies and this is it! This part of the organizer is holding my Mica powders, essential oils, and fragrance oils. They fit in here really well and I have room for more. My favorite part is the pullout organizer cups.

Milwaukee Packout Organizer works well with the entire Packout lineup.The standard size organizer is exactly 2 twice the height of the new slim line Packout organizers, however they hold 3 times as much! There is a loss due to the lid and bottom locking feet.I also learned that the smaller organizers that are 1/2 the width (5 compartments) are very useful for heavy or larger items. If you load up the full-size organizer with bolts, screws or nuts to its capacity, the organizer can weigh 50 lbs. or more. Strongest organizer I own! Also great for tool...

I've purchased so many of these at this point. Not only do I use them for organizing electrical, plumbing, roofing and trim hardware, but I started removing the internal boxes altogether and fitting them with foam inserts. Now I have a bunch that are labeled containing lots of my power tools and batteries. The foam is great at keeping the tools organized and stying put. The Packout is great because it's extremely robust and also due to the construction and design of the centre dividing compartment, I can separate tools left rom right and leave small or longer accessories in the centre!! This is by far the Packout accessory I have the most of and love em'!
