After many year I’ve finally found a great socket, this Milwaukee shockwave 1/2 drive 5/8 deep socket hands down is great. I carry both a 18v 1/2” and 3/8 impact wrench’s in my primary car and 1 each in my other cars, Milwaukee shockwave products have been great and hold up to heavy use without failure, what I like is these shockwave sockets are laser engraved and the numbers 5/8 is painted in and makes for easy identification instead of rumbling around trying to find right size especially after been used for awhile and numbers wear down. I use a different brand of 18v tools but use nothing but Milwaukee shockwave products, I spend a little extra up front but in long run save a lot more. In my personal opinion these Milwaukee Shockwave sockets are number 1, they not only saved me from changing out a flat tire but have helped others on the side of the road and so far no failures. 100% recommend these Milwaukee Shockwave sockets, they take a beating and never fail. Plus the 6 point opening make a great for and has reduced rounding of nut or lug nut 99%.

These are awesome. They stay on the ratchet until released. So many sockets just fall off the ratchet. This is important when working on a car or reaching to a tightening spot. They have a nice deep pocket and seem well made.Most of my drivers are 3/8 inch so I stay with that. I have one set of 1/2 but prefer the 3/8 for ease of use.I occasionally use sockets attached to a drill. These are SHOCKWAVE heavy duty rated, so I feel comfortable using them. I only had one project using a drill since getting these and it held tight to the adapter and no issue with torque. They hold well on the adapter which also has the ball to hold the socket. I had no trouble removing the socket from the adapter after removing several bolts.Very solid, should last a long time.

Two of my mechanic friends don't organize their sockets--they keep them in a pile in a tray. Unlike them I have to stop and examine my sockets (often with a flashlight) to find the right size. I love these Milwaukee Shockwave 1/2" Drive Deep 6 Point Impact Sockets. I can just glance and see the size. The markings are large, deeply recessed, and flooded with ink. The recessed ring groove around the base is also brightly colored, and in just the right place to help greasy fingers install or eject the socket off the tool. Milwaukee has optimized the socket and they are lighter and stronger than my old set. 5 stars for a huge upgrade.
