This is, without a doubt, the best photo bag I’ve ever owned; and I’ve had MANY over the years. It is so well thought out and constructed. My only wish: that I had the option to sling it over the right shoulder as well. But not a big deal. It still gets 5 stars. It’s weather-sealed and it’s great to be able to swing it around to the front for easy access. When I’m moving through the mountains/hiking, I use the waist belt to stabilize it. I’m small, so I chose the smaller size, but I’m sure that the engineering is the same for all of them.

Its a great little pack. Comfortable and easy to use. Not necessarily sized for a woman but it just barely works for me. I have the cross strap pulled all the way in. I like the color, its durability. Probably can only fit one camera and 3 lenses, plus accessories. Doesn't scream "camera" either. Very cool.

I just got Mindshift Photocross 10 Sling Bag. It’s ideal for everyday use, it looks small but can hold a lot of stuff, I put my DSLR Nikon D7100 with 17-55 lens, also put 70-300 lens, Flash, camera & battery chargers. Also added 10” iPad. It can also hold a Tripod & a water/juice bottle.Best things, compact design, can easily hold your daily use stuff, easy to handle, best for traveling, useable on the back & front without putting off & on. Quick access to camera just a zipper away, can hold your camera & put your elbow on the sling bag to take a shot. Please keep in mind it’s an everyday useable bag not a Storage bag to keep all Photography Gear. For Storage purposes I’m using KATA Multi-pro 120-PL.

This will hold my Canon R6 Mark II with the 100-500 lens attached. I can even put the 1.4x extender in there with it. It's very comfortable for short hikes.
This bag seemed to do everything I was looking for: carry a medium amount of photo gear and offer easy access without having to take off the pack. The major issue with the bag is the fact that it can only be worn over the LEFT shoulder. You read that right. When you try to wear it over the right shoulder you can’t access the zipper when you swing the bag around as it will be on the bottom (facing the cold, cold ground). To me, this causes a problem as I also carry my camera on a shoulder sling over my left shoulder, so that I have it at the ready at my right hand. You could potentially carry both - bag and camera - over the left shoulder but that makes for uneven balance. What’s worse, the strap of the bag interferes with the camera strap und you can no longer ... MoreThis bag seemed to do everything I was looking for: carry a medium amount of photo gear and offer easy access without having to take off the pack. The major issue with the bag is the fact that it can only be worn over the LEFT shoulder. What’s worse, the strap of the bag interferes with the camera strap und you can no longer easily bring up your camera for the shot.Unfortunately, Mindshift does not point out this significant design flaw of the bag. I also did not notice any of the reviewers addressing this issue. If you don’t carry your camera on a shoulder sling and have no other reason to carry a sling style bag over your right shoulder, this bag should be fine for you. Otherwise, you’d be wise to look elsewhere.
I haven’t had a chance to use it in the field yet, but like most other Think Tank/MindShift products, it’s solidly built and generally well thought out. I shoot M43, and the 10 is a perfect size for my needs. It seems to be well protected from elements; doubtful would need the included rain cover.I bought this for a trip to the Galápagos, and it just about ticks all the boxes for meI would echo other reviewers primary complaint - no padding on the strap. In my limited testing around the house with a well loaded bag, I could definitely understand what other reviewers were talking about about the strap digging into the shoulder. My guess is this was done for breathability through the mesh strap, but when you have it loaded up, it’s a lot of weight on one ... MoreI haven’t had a chance to use it in the field yet, but like most other Think Tank/MindShift products, it’s solidly built and generally well thought out. All sling bags have the problem of all the weight on one should but that’s what allows the benefit of easy access to your gear.I knocked off one star due to the lack of padding, but I’m keeping the bag.
Reviews are something you have to take with a grain of salt. Each camera bag is a very specific tool designed for a specific purpose. So as you read this review please keep in mind what I was looking for in a bag.Firstly, I am primarily a wildlife and landscape photographer. For years I have had a larger Ruggard bag that I also bought from B&H. I purchased it because I wanted one bag to hold both of my camera bodies, a Canon 6D and Canon 7D Mark II, with lenses attached, including a 100-400 attached to the 7D, as well as my other various items. That bag has done this wonderfully and continues to do so.But as you would imagine, it gets pretty heavy with all of that stuff.Being both a landscape and wildlife photographer, I'm often out hiking with my 6D set up ... MoreReviews are something you have to take with a grain of salt. That bag has done this wonderfully and continues to do so.But as you would imagine, it gets pretty heavy with all of that stuff.Being both a landscape and wildlife photographer, I'm often out hiking with my 6D set up for landscapes and the 7D at the ready with the long lens, both hanging from my Black Rapid double strap, along with a tripod and other items. I wanted a compact bag that I could use to carry my 6D, a few filters and batteries, a couple of small lenses and my tripod, while I had my 7D w/the 100-400 on a strap and ready for whatever happened along. The PhotoCross 10 fit the bill. I happened to be in NYC so I was able to check out this bag as well as several others in this size at their store. The staff as always was extremely helpful and let me fit my gear into the various bags. What I found was that this bag is not only comfortable but will hold my 6D with a 24-105 attached and still have room in the main compartment for by 16-35mm (the 6D has to go in the lower portion of the bag as this area is wider than the upper section). It also has various pockets that I use to hold some Lee Filters, a polarizer, Lenspen and a couple of batteries. The sling design makes it fairly easy to access my gear. The strap system on the front of the bag does a great job of holding my 3 Legged Thing Travis tripod. The padding on the bag makes it fairly comfortable for holding 10+ lbs of gear on one shoulder. And the material appears to be quite durable and able to hold off a decent downpour.I've had this bag for a month and a half and I've used it more than I thought I would, including a recent trip to the Snowy Range where it performed wonderfully.Kudos to the Mindshift division of ThinkTank for creating a great small bag that's perfectly designed for the kind of photography I do!
It's not bad so far. Nice zipper, you can open and close it very quickly and easily, even with gloves. I use the backpack differently from most, as a sling for my camera, because I have lower back problems and hip pain so I am trying to redistribute the weight of my camera & lens (5 lb) over my whole back and upper chest. It did help somewhat on my test walk yesterday. I removed a lot of the extraneous stuff and it's lighter and roomier inside. Time will tell.
Perfectly sized for my DSLR, an additional wide angle lens, a filter pouch and snacks. There's room for numerous extra batteries and memory cards as well as a rain hood for my camera (and one for the bag itself). It is well balanced and easily accessible. I carried it comfortably each day on a photo excursion to New England. It fit my needs perfectly!
I have had this bag for a week now, and I think it is the best photo-bag-buy I have ever done. I have just started my vlog, and are running around with my small Canon EOS M50, with accessories stuff. The bag is perfect for my daily trips. However, I discovered yesterday that this bag must have slipped through the quality check because the sewing stitches at the bottom of one pocket have failed. The sewing itself is in place but has partially missed the edge.I have not had anything in the pocket, except for the strap which already was in the pocket.
