I am a slender woman with a definite "mommy pooch" after birthing 3 kids. Other expensive shapewear I've tried didn't suck in that tummy the way I wanted. I got this for an upcoming family wedding I'll be attending and it provides that extra firm tummy control I was looking for. Not easy to wriggle into, but once it's on, it's decently comfortable (for shapewear...this is special occasion wear for me not something I'd want to wear frequently). I feel like Wonderwoman with this amiguita! I weigh 172 pounds, 5.6 tall, athletic body, and bought a Medium size. I even think a Small size could have worked even better since I'm losing weight. I love the silicone in the edges, and the fabric is high quality (I've had other shaping shorts in the past and they have broken, especially that I have strong legs. I have had a belly pouch since my last twins pregnancy, and this does a wonderful job in shrinking my belly, you can't even tell I have a belly with these shaping shorts. Very glad I decided to purchase it.

I purchased these in the correct size, according to the sizing chart. They fit great and were fairly comfortable for shapewear - I could breathe, sit easily, and they didn't roll down. However, after the second wear, I removed them to see they were falling apart and looked snagged at the seams. I did not put these through a washing machine (they were delicately hand-washed) and considering I bought the correct size, I can only blame the product for being poor quality. I know these are not Spanx priced, but at $55, I still expected them to hold up for more TWO wears.

Bought this product after reading so many fantastic reviews. Bought it from store after trying it on. To my surprise, it started tearing apart specially near thighs at the very first use itself! I took it for my vacation with high hopes. Used it only twice but the product is completely torn and my thighs started paining from the scratching with the torn part. Took it to Macy’s as soon as I returned from the trip. I bought it on April 25th and took it back on May 8th and they said they can’t fo anything about it! I asked at least if they can inform the company, they said they will try! I was told that the product looks like as if it’s used multiple times and they have never received a bad review about this product so far. For the thickness of the fabric and overall bulk, I expected this provide much more of a tummy control than it did. The extra-firm support did not seem that supportive. I didn't end up wearing it because I already had something that gives the same amount of support with less bulk and will be returning this, so I can't give any feedback regarding comfort or overall performance.
Having given 1 star out of 5 the wording states "product is poor" I want to clarify that the product and quality is NOT poor. The reason I gave 1 star is because of SIZING - I watched presentation and lady said to downsize. I'm a 14 bottom half and was going to go for XL but went instead for L which went nowhere near me lol! Not sure the XL would have been any good. Shapewear is so difficult to find good fit
Like a previous reviewer I couldn't manage to get these on sadly, the waist area is hard to get over your hips. Bought L for size 14 bottom half. Must admit I'm not used to wearing shareware so maybe its me not trying hard enough to ease them on lol. They are lovely quality andsure they will be fantastic once on but I would have to size up for more comfortable fit.

By the 2nd or 3rd time I used the restroom, it was already getting runs in one of the legs near the gusset area. To be fair, I wore it for an 8 hour event but by the end, there are runs all up the tummy panel and that initial run near the gusset is basically a hole at this point, all after one wearing. For the price, I expect a garment to hold up better than this. I blame the fabric--this is more of a slinky fabric whereas I have one pair of bike short Spanx and one pair of Assets which are more like a thick control top tight which have held up for years. Over the last three weeks, I have purchased two of these shapers, and in only a matter of days, both are falling apart!!! They are absolute garbage! The first one purchased was an xl. Imagine my surprise when, after only three wearings, I realized it had two holes in the crotch and a frayed place in the back. I really want to like this item; I think it provides great support. However, I am just so exceedingly unhappy with the quality. I now must either take the second one back and have nothing (I have seen no others that I think will be any better; the newest Spanx shapewear is paper thin, and I greatly fear the fabric will not hold up) or try to reinforce the seams myself. It really galls me that I should have to fix something this expensive and barely worn!!! I think Macy's should reassess whether or not they wish to carry this brand of shapewear any longer.
I am a 2x (18/20) in most clothing brands and in all my shape wear. I decided to purchase a 3x in this item just in case it ran small. Unfortunately, this shape wear in particular runs very small. I cannot get this item past my hips. Although the material is of good quality and I know it would have been great if it fit, it doesn’t fit by at least 5 inches around my hips, and waist. That is truly disappointing. I highly recommend measuring yourself and looking at the sizing guide to purchase the correct size so you’re not disappointed. I will be returning this item and sticking with the shape wear that fits true to size and is of the same or better quality.
