I was replacing a knife in my kitchen and I couldn’t be more pleased with this knife. Perfect size for most kitchen chores, comfortable handle, and great sharpness right out of the box. I am thinking that I will gift this knife to friends and family. I know I would be thrilled to receive it as a gift. If you like cooking as I do, this knife will make a great addition to your collection. I own several other Japanese knives and enjoy them all very much. I do my own sharpening and appreciate a good knife.
What can I say? The packaging alone makes this japanese knife worth more than what I paid! Balance is great, it’s nice and sharp, good weight. I needed a santoku knife and didn’t feel like spending $140 on my usual knife brands. This thing is great for the money!
