Relatively easy to install, clear instructions, functions well! Does it look exactly like a gas fireplace? No. But given that we only had around 6" of depth to work with, it's pretty much a modern miracle that we could put anything there. We leave it on for hours and hours with the flames dancing and the crackling noise, but without the heater on, and it doesn't make the room too warm - so we actually use it much more than our gas fireplace at our previous house which made the room waaay too hot. We won't ever use the heat function because the blower's a little loud and we don't need more heat - our central heat works perfectly. Very happy with this purchase. The Modern Flames Slim Heliovision fireplace is a solid choice for adding style and warmth to any space. The touch of elegance it brings to our living room is undeniable, and the multicolor flames add a nice visual appeal. However, we found the WiFi-enabled control to be a bit finicky at times, requiring occasional troubleshooting. Despite this minor inconvenience, we're overall satisfied with the performance and aesthetics of this fireplace.
I did extensive research for the fireplace buildout we wanted to add to our home, all of the others are pretty comparable and the flame is hyper unrealistic. This is a stand out from the crowd!! Makes you do a double take and if you’re actually going to spend the $ on the buildout might as well splurge for a more realistic option! The app is fantastic, the “flame sound” or crackle is kinda cheesy but the options are great! My only wish is that the flames were just a tad brighter or adjustable but again, this is still the best looking electric I’ve seen to date and the 5yr warranty helps! So far so good 👌🏼
Living in a small apartment means I can't have a real fireplace, but this electric fireplace is a perfect substitute. It fits nicely in my limited space and adds a lot of charm to my decor. The flame effects are soothing, and it provides enough heat to warm my living area without making it stuffy. My only gripe is that the remote sometimes takes a few tries to register, but it's a minor inconvenience. Overall, this fireplace has made my place feel much more inviting.
