The underwear was shipped in cardboard/biodegradable packaging so I am very pleased with Modibodi's commitment to sustainability. After reading some reviews about sizing (I am between 2 sizes), I opted to size down and it was snug, but I do imagine that with time they will stretch out a little bit.

I was able to wear these for a full day of bleeding without having to change on my heavier days (I'd say I'm a medium bleeder). With that being said, there is a slight diaperish feel to the underwear, especially when they start to get weighed down. I would personally not be able to wear these in public under work pants or leggings (mayyyybe jeans) because you can see not only the panty lines, but the lines from the seams of where the period padding is on the back. But for working from home, etc this is a great way to reduce (or eliminate) the use of paper period products. I didn't use any paper products during this past period. I made sure to rinse them thoroughly as directed after use. I did notice a fairly strong iron scent though when I went to wash all the pairs ... I have used menstruation underwear and pads for 15 years. I had recently been turned to Modibodi after seeking a new, safer brand with no PFAs and distrust. I was happy to try these on clearance. They are so breathable and I have had no leaks so far. My flow has become heavier this year and I'm happy to have found this company.Sizing is tricky from an American's view. I'm between a US size 6 and 8. I believe I bought the AU size 14/L. They didn't have my waist measurement which is 29". The 14/L fits well. Thank you!

I asked my friend about this too as we both tried them at the same time and she agrees there’s more odour than with using pads, which may be due to them being less breathable but it’s hard to say.- You have to change more regularly than a pad, so need a lot of expensive pants and to be in a place you can easily rinse and store an old pair and put on a new one. I have 6 pairs and have to wash and dry during a cycle as it’s not enough.- the extra absorbent ones just have more padding up the literal butt part of the pants, so don’t really absorb more and give a weird shape to the butt part as it’s so flat, glad I mainly got normal absorbency ones. I think this is misleading and me and my friend were kind of shocked at this, she is very heavy and they’re no different to regular ones, as it’s not more absorbent there’s just more absorbency material.(May be personal to me) Cons:- Wish they had a thicker waistband for comfort.- Wish they had cuter styles like a higher leg tanga brief with a thick waistband with a slightly higher waist, in black or some patterns- I wish the absorbent part was a lighter grey rather than black so you could see how much you’re bleeding as you can’t really tell, so it’s normally just a hunch on if you’re due to change.I’m still overall happy with the products and glad I’m using these but there is a bit of a compromise. I just wanted to get a brutally honest review out, as there is a few things I was disappointed in and would have been useful to know, I rated 3 stars because they’re what I expected but with a few cons I wasn’t expecting. ❤️
I've purchased and worn various brands over the last 10+ years for environmental reasons, so I'm saying this from real experience these are by far the most comfortable with true absorbency! Free bleeding comes with many challenges but not a single leak, doesn't look like you're wearing a nappe, and did the job. I definitely prefer the heavy-overnight boy shorts, but these are a solid choice. Probably wouldn't wear super tight pants with these, but that's personal taste. Highly recommend
I sleep on my back - back leak is my usual problem and I cannot use any pad shorter than 42cm. These pads are uncommon. Modibodi was the only brand which stated upfront that the gusset was all the way to the back waistband. No back leak! Other plus points are no humid feeling or bunching.I felt relieved from money-regret because I could wear this for a nap as I recover from an illness, instead of half-utilizing one of my precious 42cm pads.I wish modibodi would ship to Singapore from a nearer site than the US store.I advise to hand wash, at least for the first few washes, because the dye ran. The waistband got a slightly warped after this wash but it’s a minor cosmetic issue.
I’ve only just recently found period underwear and I’ve fallen in love. I actully stayed away from modibodi because it seemed to be slightly more expensive but I gave in and I got two pairs. AND OH MY GOD straight out the bag it’s so soft and comfy it’s well worth the money. I regret not buying from this brand first and ordering from other instead :(. However I would say I could have sized down for a bit of a tighter fit I’m usually an xs and that’s what the size guide recommended for me but I think I would have liked a size smaller better on me. Other than that no bad words.
