Great monitor. Size is great, especially for fps games (probably don't want a screen size much bigger than 24 inches) but also great for most other games. 1080p resolution is decent for this screen size as well so you won't really notice the pixels. The 165Hz is a great bonus as most other monitors at this price range and size are usually 144Hz. It also comes with AMD Freesync but is compatible with Nvidia G-sync as well. It doesn't really have any issues with ghosting either (not that I can see anyway). The only main issue I had with the monitor is that it will take some time to adjust the colour settings to get something more accurate as the colour settings out of the box is not that great, but overall once that's done it's a great monitor. The included stand is pretty good with both height adjustment and horizontal swivel. It also comes with a hole for cable management. Overall a great buy. Highly suggest using the display cable over a HDMI cable as it only supports 165Hz with display cable.

The AOC 24G2 has numerous online reviews as the best low budget gaming monitor. IPS panel CHECK. 1MS response time CHECK. Fully adjustable stand with height, pivot and tilt CHECK. Two letters SP mean that this has all the great features of the 24G2 but with 165hz instead of 144hz ( more frames!!!). Has 2 x hdmi 2.0 ports which means 144hz over hdmi or the full 165hz using display port. G sync works, confirmed with nvidia gtx 1050ti, gtx 1070 and rtx 3070 as this monitor will be used on each. Shows as gsync enabled at 165hz. Beautiful colour with IPS panel, great viewing angles which is better than VA / TN panels. Appears to be 300 nits which is more than the 250 nits of the original 24G2. Not hugely noticeable but a bit brighter never the less. This monitor has only just been released this year so can't comment on reliability but I haven't had any problems with AOC in the past.

On the whole, I’m really pleased with the monitor, here are my pros and cons.Pros: Perfect size for what I need for both office and games, with the dot pitch ratio providing good quality. Ergonomics and looks, not overstated but elegant for something you’re looking at for hours on end, thus no unnecessary plastic, with the screen almost at the edges. Contrast and black uniformity seems good to me. No flicker, i.e. pulse width modulation for controlling the backlight that caused eye strain for me on my previous monitor. Cable management. Internal power supply. Fully adjustable stand. Value for money. Internal speakers not great, but do the basics for office work without needing external speakers.Cons: Awkward buttons with the power button too near the rest. A little to bright even at low settings, but can be overcome with graphics card control software. Bundled software clunky. Concerned about dust build-up as top but no bottom vents for it to escape from, I’m covering the monitor with a light pillow case when off. No manufacturer ICC profile. Reduction in controls in sRGB colour temperature.

Good quality monitor for the price. The only drawback I am currently experiencing is that it takes a bit long to awake from sleep. This can be an issue if you have a faster monitor in a multiple display set up. Windows will want to change to a different display setting after seeing that the slow monitor has not come back online. Once the slow monitor finally turns back on, Windows will try to switch display modes once again. This has caused me massive lag spikes and even system crashes. I am sure there may be a way to set this up to prevent this, but definitely something costumers need to keep in mind if they are planning to set it up with other monitors.
This is a great monitor. It was easy to setup and it provides an excellent picture. I got it because I wanted something that could handle at least 140FPS on first person shooters, and this exceeded my expectations. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the buttons are sort of tricky to use, and it wobbles easily. It's definitely secure on the stand, but it doesn't take much for it slightly wobble.Overall, it's an excellent monitor that I certainly recommend.
I wanted a monitor with a great refresh and response rate, as well as bright and good color accuracy. It doesn't disappoint. In fact, it has a beautiful display. The only things I don't like are the difficulty I have in finding the right buttons to press. They're just in a weird spot, and recessed to a point it can be difficult to know if you're pressing the right one. Also, I can't figure out how to lower and raise the monitor in the stand. Finally, it doesn't have speakers. Besides those three minor annoyances, it's an amazing monitor for the price!
Excellent ips monitor. Set up was easy and my games run smooth and clear. Colors are bright and crisp -- blacks are more dark grey which is typical for ips. The display is completely adjustable and stays put where you set it. This is th second AOC display that I bought, the other is a 27 inch curved model that I've had for 3 years on another rig, and the quality on both is stellar. It is a fantastic buy at MSRP.
Pros: Super easy to set up. Stable connection to my laptop. Great value for money, 9.5/10 very satisfied purchase.Cons: 1. The screen might have some kind of coating on, which made it impossible to not leave streaks when dusting. I only clean with glasses cloth, but still it leave streaks regardless you clean with dry or water-damped cloth. So I try my best not to touch the screen with oily/sweaty fingers.2. The buttons under the screen are a bit difficult to reach/operate.3. The USB hub are too closely packed and might be impossible for bulky USBs. They are also super tight that need to pull/push really hard and made a mess of the desk. So only connect things more permanent rather than a USB that goes with you all the time. 4. I can't calibrate the display colour ... MorePros: Super easy to set up. Stable connection to my laptop. Great value for money, 9.5/10 very satisfied purchase.Cons: 1.
