The automatic brightness on this monitor is aggressive and you will notice it flickering back and forth to save it self on your most basic task. The speakers in this unit are decent except for when it comes to PS5 audio. Original OLED models you can change the auto format from bitstream to PCM and on this you cant. When you are playing games like Spider man and Elden ring, you dont get any voice audio and it's highly annoying. The matte screen robs this monitor of its true colors as well so you would be better off getting a C2 or C1 if you dont need the display port.

I have been working on a my new office setup and was met with complete disappointment today. I plugged in the PG48UQ today and nothing. Used the reset procedure by holding the 2 buttons and it shows panel distortion for about 2 seconds... logo flashes red and then nothing.I bought this back in the middle of December and only turned it on today. I have no clue how I will return this since the panel will probably be completely destroyed in transit. I don't know why I keep buying ASUS products. The last motherboard I bought from them was a dud as well.

Size is perfect if you like to play games with a controller, sitting a bit further back. If you like to play with mouse and keyboard, sitting closer to the screen, you might be better off getting the 42 inch version.
I bought this about a month or so ago. I previously had an Asus Swift pg279qm . Let me tell you this monitor was exactly what I was looking for. The blacks are actually pitch black and no light bleed or glow around the edges compared to the IPS panel on the pg279qm. The contrast is also much higher. All my games look amazing with this monitor especially the darker games like Dead Space, Resident Evil 2,3,4 and Village...Elden Ring looks breathtaking. I was worried the monitor would be to big, but it's the perfect size actually for my field of view sitting at my desk. I run an Asus 4080 strix with this monitor to get 120fps at 4k.
I bought this as a replacement for an aging Panasonic plasma screen that I had been using as a 2nd monitor and to have an all OLED setup. The screen is absolutely gorgeous! The semi-matte finish is perfect in my darkened studio and color calibration out of the box is excellent. I ran calibration on it and don't really see a difference that would effect the quality of my grading in Premiere so for the price I am extremally happy. Plus, when I would like to unwind with some gaming fun it is perfectly suited for that task hands down. I turn off the eco mode when I am doing work, otherwise it's constantly dimming the screen to prevent burn in which I don't mind under non-critical situations. I'm glad I bought the monitor, it's everything they claimed it is. The detail of really small animations or distant scenery is incredible. Colours are bright and sharp and the anti glare coating is unnoticeable or dull and keeps the whole screen clear and crisp. It's a big screen when it's only 2-3 feet in front of you and will force you to turn your head a little to take it all in, I love it!
The monitor friend itself a few months in. Completely bricked. I'm finding online the a lot of people are having the same problems. I'd stick with LG at all cost as ASUS only has a repair service with a waiting list in the month's currently.
This monitor has a beautiful display for content. When gaming, it flickers constantly. I tried everything from turning adaptive sync off, lowering graphics quality even though we tried it with an /adm 6950 XT and an Nvidia RTX 3090, we even purchased a certified high speed 48Gbps $79 HDMI cable with no luck. Plus the pixel cleaning pop-up every few hours is absolutely annoying while gaming. Returned it for a tried and true VA mini LED monitor
Awesome display, great color and resolution for my gaming and internet needs. One feature to get used to is every 4-6 hours it's recommended to turn off the monitor for 5-10 minutes or so to eliminate pixel issues. The monitor alerts when it's time. Not a big deal, just something I never had to deal with before during marathon sessions.
