This is a good looking, fabulous monitor. The picture and colours are beautiful. It is very easy and quick to attach the stand and the degree of height adjustment is very good. I use the monitor for general work, browsing and videos etc. I don't do any gaming so can't comment on it from that aspect. The inbuilt speakers are a bit dinky but at least you've got audio if you have any issues with external speakers. The supplied HDMI cable is 1.8m long for those wanting to know as I couldn't find any other reviews that included this information before I bought it. Fantastic online price too - what's not to love. Highly recommend!

Firstly, lets start with the physical features. The monitor is very light at 16 lbs, and has very little bezels at the top, left and right of the monitor which is pretty nice, however its just wide enough to not be invisible. Also, 27 inches of monitor up close is quite wide, viewing at a distance of less than 2 feet might make these monitors feel gargantuan in comparison, especially at a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080. If these monitors happened to be 1440p or 4k, the size wouldn't be that big of a deal. Which brings me to the technical part of the monitor. Each monitor has two HDMI ports, which is great, it permits you to run two streams on it, so, work PC, and gaming PC on the other port. I purchased two of these monitors and mounted it on a dual monitor VESA stand. I received them quite quickly, actually about two weeks after the initial order. When they arrived, setup was quite quick and easy. It took me no longer than 15 minutes per monitor, and they were very light, so not much of a problem to mount. Past that point I started using them for work, and unfortunately this is where I hit my first snag. One of the monitors had stuck pixels and image ghosting. After running the LED conditioning the issue resolved itself temporarily. This is when I contacted support. They didn't fight me over the stuck pixels, which was amazing, and sent me a replacement monitor, but only for 1 of them. Thankfully the other monitor resolved itself, but the one that was still having the stuck pixel issue needed to be replaced. After receiving the replacement two weeks later I mounted it up and ran the LED conditioning for about 10 minutes, everything worked out fine. Just make sure that you set the pixel response to something other than Normal, and have the refresh rate above 60 hz, and you should not experience issues. I won't suggest purchasing these monitors unless you need large monitors, like if you were a receptionist, or have to mount the monitor further than a foot away from your viewing location. With the failure I received, I am concerned that this product is a panel overstock product for not quite passing high value panels.

*Outstanding* clarity, more or less the same panel as the u2722D minus the extra ports and the OSD joystick (I had to return two of the aforementioned panels due to flicker but otherwise a good monitor as well). Working with it all day and night for about two weeks now and haven't really noticed much of anything worth complaining about. Honestly a steal for the price if you're looking for this kind of monitor. If I really had to grasp straws for a complaint, it would be the stand (I'm using a mount). The stand itself is well constructed from materials to ability (to pivot, rotate, etc), the only issue here is that the hand screw on the bottom doesn't seem to have total snug fit so you're left with some minor wobble. It's not enough to think the monitor would fall ... More*Outstanding* clarity, more or less the same panel as the u2722D minus the extra ports and the OSD joystick (I had to return two of the aforementioned panels due to flicker but otherwise a good monitor as well). Full disclosure, I am not a computer system guru, but I do know what I like. As a replacement for two 24” monitors, I purchased two Dell 27” S2721HS monitors to extend my Dell Inspiron 15 5510 laptop, and I could not be happier! These monitors are big, and bright, with an amazing picture/display quality. I use a thunderbolt dock, and setup was a breeze, right out of the box, with no configuration needed. It is not necessary to download or use the Dell Display Manager software, but doing so offers several additional useful display configuration options which I greatly appreciate. Working/playing on these monitors is very enjoyable, and I would recommend the Dell 27 - S2721HS highly, and without reservation. I’m sure you will enjoy them as much as I do.
Highly recommended for friends and family.Pros:- 27"is a great size for QHD resolution; 24" would have been too small and simply full HD would have produced text too large for this size monitor.- As the fourth monitor I've ordered, colour is near-accurate (per X-Rite calibration).- I like glossy screens in general for colours, but this works well with both PC and Mac (with the MacBook Pro, pictures still "pop" and look amazing).- Two x HDMI and one x DisplayPort allows for clear, sharp, digital connectivity to multiple devices at once (for me a PC laptop and MacBook Pro).- Adjustable height all the worthwhile compared to lower-priced models in the Dell family.Second Thoughts:- The speakers are nice (they save space for those who don't want desk clutter ... MoreHighly recommended for friends and family.Pros:- 27"is a great size for QHD resolution; 24" would have been too small and simply full HD would have produced text too large for this size monitor.- As the fourth monitor I've ordered, colour is near-accurate (per X-Rite calibration).- I like glossy screens in general for colours, but this works well with both PC and Mac (with the MacBook Pro, pictures still "pop" and look amazing).- Two x HDMI and one x DisplayPort allows for clear, sharp, digital connectivity to multiple devices at once (for me a PC laptop and MacBook Pro).- Adjustable height all the worthwhile compared to lower-priced models in the Dell family.Second Thoughts:- The speakers are nice (they save space for those who don't want desk clutter with external speakers), but they lack bass - focused more on treble. Good for listening to podcasts and YouTube videos, but you're going to want something else if watching movies or gaming. Laptop speakers may be better at times...
I've been sticking with Dell LCD monitors for years because they are consistently good and this model does not disappoint. I've been wanting a 2K monitor for a while and this was a great choice. My panel looks great - no stuck pixels to be seen and the color and brightness of the image looks great. My RX5500XT card drives this well although I am not a gamer. I do like that it also supports 75hz refresh. The adjustable stand is sturdy but could be better for such a large monitor. The base is actually smaller than my U2415 but for the price this was a great deal. I would have preferred the box to include a DisplayPort cable instead of the HDMI it came with but not a dealbreaker. There also isn't a USB hub integrated which I can live without. The monitor has audio issues. I use it with my M1 MacBook, sometimes when I wake my laptop up from sleep mode, the monitor speakers mess up the audio. The audio ends up having playback speed issues, and feels like multiple files of the same audio are being played at different intervals. Also, the video playback speed gets affected. I am using a good quality USB C hub ($80), and the HDMI cable is the one that I got with the monitor. The issue only goes away after I restart the laptop.Apart from that, the screen quality is great and so is the built quality. Dell please take a look into this issue. Maybe it is a driver issue or a compatibility issue with the M1 chips
I purchased two of these so I could run one as my main screen and one as a portrait mode second screen (running off a docking station and my laptop). They were very easy to set up (the physical assembly was easy and intuitive, and they started working by simply plugging them in, no extra steps). The quality is as expected (very good). Not glossy, which is good. Adjustable dimensions are excellent. I was able to set up the monitors to my preference very quickly. They stay put as well (no need to constantly readjust due to gravity or small bumps). The stand part has a slim and unobstructive profile allowing me to slide my keyboard or notepad on top of the base when I need some extra space. Definitely recommend, especially at this price.
I am very happy with this monitor so far. It hooked up to my older laptop and instantly added a second screen to work with. The picture is sharp with bright colors. No adjustments were necessary. and I was able to start working with it immediately. It Is not as flat (depth) as I thought it would be but that is not affecting me in any way. I just expected it to be like a flat screen TV which all seem to be ultra thin now. The surface finish is something else I took notice of. It is not as reflective as other video screens I own so it doesn't have a noticeable reflection image even when it is off. My cell phone maker could get a lesson here!TL:DR Worth the money and easy on the eyes.
Nice size screen. Adjustable base works great. Screen output needs help. It is not low blue light. Screen puts out either a clear image (but is ultra-bright, even low bright and contrast settings) or a hazy image (almost reminds me of brain fog at times).I regret buying this monitor. Not only have I had issues with the monitor, but the customer service has taken way too long and way too many people to try and resolve the issue. It has taken me 2 months, at least 15 representatives, multiple monitor replacements, send backs, and several hours on the phone.I have never had an issue like this before when trying to resolve a concern with a product, anywhere. Awful experience. I do not recommend this monitor or Dell to anyone because of this.
