This has turned out to be a very useful monitor for my MacBook Air. With limited desk space I did not want a larger monitor. The VESA mount also made it easy to attach to a separate monitor mount attached to the desk. So the setup allows you to conserve desk-space. The monitor has excellent sharpness and colour fidelity, and works well for photography. The real bonus is the USB hubs. The MacBook works in clamshell mode with the USB-C cable. If I want to swap to a Windows laptop, I plug in the HDMI cable. The USB-C and USB A 3.0 charging ports on the side, let you run a 4k Webcam or USB-C drive. I purchased this monitor a while ago, and at first it worked great. Overtime though, the U2520D had began to fail requiring SMC resets on my MBP. The system will recognize the presents of the monitor, however the monitor fails to recognize a USB-C connection. It's not safe to turn the monitor off when they system goes into sleep, standby, or shut off. The more the monitor is powered off, the more frequently the system requires SMC resetting.

Very satisfied. The monitor was delivered a lot faster than anticipated, was extremely easy to assemble and totally 'plug and play': I did not need to make any adjustments or set up and was able to use as soon as I connected to my laptop port. The screen size is perfect to review or work on two documents side by side, for large excel spreadsheets or detailed ppt work. The design is very streamlined and therefore is non obtrusive which was really important to me. I particularly like the flat base which maximises the desk space available, as well as the adjustable screen height and rotating base (the later an important consideration when working next to a window). Another great feature is the fact it doesn't require a docking station - I can connect the monitor ... MoreVery satisfied. The monitor was delivered a lot faster than anticipated, was extremely easy to assemble and totally 'plug and play': I did not need to make any adjustments or set up and was able to use as soon as I connected to my laptop port. This is an excellent monitor for casual color-intensive work and regular old office work. For that audience, the value is good. This is an 8-bit, 1440p 16x9 panel, not really professional unless you're a pro looking for a bargain I guess. It comes with a Dell warranty against hot/dead pixels, so you don't have to worry too much about that. IPS bloom is great (very low) though not quite as good as my old UP2516D (which is like this, but 10-bit and maybe just has a more sophisticated LED array; the two pair nicely, but lesser monitors like the U2518D won't look good in a side-by-side comparison). Connectivity is the star of the show. It comes with the usual Dell connectivity options (HDMI, DP, mDP, MST, powered USB hub, audio out) PLUS USB-C power delivery. Thats means you can use a single USB-C connection to your laptop for both video and power. It's basically a USB-C dock built into the monitor. Excellent! I don't personally use this feature but I can't imagine it's not extremely useful for others. Also it's wide gamut, offering DCI-P3. Again, this is NOT a 10-bit panel and is NOT 4K, but this is great for casual color-intensive graphics or photo/video editing work. For office work, this thing is bright, crisp and beautiful (but kind of overkill for that kind of work). As such, this monitor is ideal for people who do a mix of creative and regular office work. For example, work-from-home and hobby photography. We're very happy with this.
Pros: I was looking to replace my 29 inch ultrawide monitor for the standard 16:9 ratio. I've tried 24 inch 1080p as a single and double set up, a 29 inch ultrawide, a 27 2K, but non of them seem to fit the bill. They were either too big or overkill (thinking of a dual screen setup) so i wanted a happy medium. My good friend recommended 4K, but in native windows will be unreadable and with scaling you end up at 2K anyway, so that was ruled out almost instantly. I ended up with this DELL U2520D that turned out to be very good for the price. The overall small form factor does make it easier to adjust the distance better than with other models (I've tried a BenQ PD2500D as well, but the monitor was just chunky for my desk and the monitor was sitting in my face even ... MorePros: I was looking to replace my 29 inch ultrawide monitor for the standard 16:9 ratio. With this Dell I have none of those issues. I love it, it's crisp, and does not tire the eyes out either. It connects to my laptop via a USB-C cable and the extra USB inputs on the side are a great addition too - newer Dell monitors place these ports under the bottom chin of the monitor that is not that easy to reach in my opinion and looks wonky. This one is simply perfect, Smaller than a 27inch, but because of the screen resolution the 25 inch feels immersive. Colour reproduction is great and I did not notice any light bleeding either. All in all would buy this again :)
I am using the screen since one day so this is just a very quick review that shouldn't count much for you right now. i am gonna update it in a couple of weeks. My first impression is good-very good. colors are cool, the screen is bright, sharp and with nice contrast. i'm not an expert but it looks very good to me (especially for the low price). The size is perfect for my desk and the screen is heavy and stable, which i find good and sign of quality.Blacks are not really... black. but hey, for this price and the overall experience it's fine.BUT, BIG BIG DISAPPOINTMENT and I really want to hear what @Digitec has to say in its defense. Here on the website the screen is classed as an "A" Energy class. This is one of the many reasons why I decided to buy it. WELL, once at home I saw that the Energy class on the Packaging is actually.... F!I then looked for answers and I just discovered that Products are being 'rescaled' due to the change of energy standards. Well, I'd really have appreciated if the energy class was already adjusted on the website. The new scale goes from A to G (without any '+') and F is actually one step from being the worst... I have to say it: I'm really disappointed!
Pleasantly surprized by this monitor and I think it's one of the best in the price range and suitability for the MBP. It's a great semi-pro monitor for both office and home. Firstly the colors: because it covers 95% of DCI-P3, you are going to have pretty much the same colors as on your MBP. The monitor is a tiny bit dimmer though, which is expected: brighter monitors are more expensive. It didn't even need calibration, I just switched it to the P3 mode, then had to find the optimal brightness/contrast (which for me was 100% and 80% respectively) and voila, the monitor is at its best in Standard mode, no need to tweak any further. Be careful with the contrast setting as anything higher than 80% makes some brighter colors simply blend into white and disappear. Be careful with the contrast setting as anything higher than 80% makes some brighter colors simply blend into white and disappear. Note that it supports only 60Hz framerate, so it's probably not for advanced gaming. USB-C ports: the monitor can become a 90W charger for your laptop, although you need to enable it in settings first. I tried to plug my phone to the monitor's other USB-C port, but suddenly macOS complained about something I didn't quite understand (Device drawing too much power - how so? which device?) and I figured the phone should charge from the laptop. Fine with me. What's best, one USB-C connection can be used both as the display connection and for charging. This is awesome (though I know it's becoming a norm but I've never seen this before). Another plus: this monitor's wake up time is pretty tolerable. I've had a much more expensive Eizo before which would take 10-12 seconds to wake! You step away from your desk say for 10 minutes, come back and then the next 12 seconds (try to count it now!) you are sitting in front of the frigging Eizo waiting for it to come online. So glad the problem is practically gone now with this Dell model. One problem with this particular shipment was that, there were supposed to be two USB-C cables in the box according to the brochure but I found only one. The rest was intact though (there are also DP and power cables in the box). Anyway, overall happy with this purchase. Recommended for software engineers, possibly also designers. And everyone else not in the gaming or super-pro usage categories.
A well thought out nice, non-glare display with heaps of room for two A4 pictures. Good number of ports including easily accesses USB-A charging and USB-C on the side of the screen. the USB-X connection to my USB-X laptop also doubles as a power source. Took maybe 5 minutes from unboxing to connect power and laptop. Recommended
Did a bit of research into USB-C hub monitors for use with some MacBooks I own (Intel 16in I9 and M1 air). One thing I stumbled across was that MacBooks work really well with their own native resolution but scaling the output to 4K monitors can be tricky. That's why the Apply studio monitor is 5K. This 25in 2K monitor is great. Running at full resolution I have no issue with tiny text / font / icons etc and it's a really nice amount of space. The Dell software allows me to snap apps to different parts the screen and the overall experience is really good. The USB-C hub means I'm only connecting a singe cable each time. Also the stand has all the adjustment you'd need and the whole thing looks good. For the money, it's a great bit of kit.
Just works; the colour looks good.Wished the online documentations could be clearer, i.e. the resolutions supported when daisy chaining multiple displays. I have a 2-year-old intel 8th Gen processor. Only after a few hours of troubleshooting, then I realised that the built-in graphics does not support two sets of 2560x1440 display.
