I really love this brand. I have tried plenty of brands of acrylic paints but I stopped looking after I tried Mont matte. Affordable but good quality. Will order again

For the price range this is a great paint. Easy to create texture and just as easy to bring smooth, even coverage to your work. I did find however because it's a heavy bodied paint, I had issues using my fan brushes, perhaps a thicker bristled fan brush would work better? At the time I didn't have retardant on hand, so I sprayed a very fine mist of water onto my work and I was surprised how well it blended and stopped early drying. I can only imagine just how good it would be with a retardant!

I always recommend Mont Marte Dimension Acrylics for those artists who are just starting painting or trying Acrylics for the first time. It has a thick consistency, and a good level of pigment making good true colours on the canvas, whether used thick or thin. I start off my students with 7 colours and white, 3 of each primary warm colours, Ultramarine Blue, Brilliant Red, and Medium Yellow, and three each primary cool colours Phthalo Blue, Magenta, Lemon Yellow, plus Burnt Siena. All the colours they need for just $40 - its a bargain for the beginner.
