I am 57 years old 5’ 11” B-road shoulders and 14.5 stone so I like my tops with a little room so as not to show off all the middle aged me so I always go for an XL. I have about 5 other quarter zip fleeces which are used at different times of the year. Cracking quality and although not cheap. My other ones are pushing 5 years old and are still used as “ smart casual” when we go out.Overall cannot recommend them highly enough, have never let me down.

Usual Montane quality. Usual Montane value for money and customer service. Comes up very slightly large, which was perfect for me (ordered medium - usually medium/40 inch chest/euro 50). Highly recommend.
Pleased with the jacket, but be aware it is close fitting, so if you want to put more than one layer underneath, probably go for a size up. For me the sleeves are a perfect length but could do with being an inch longer in the body. (I'm 5ft 9inches tall and I bought a small). Nice overlays on the shoulders and sleeves, but if Montane were to redesign this with a chest pocket it would be great. it is slightly more expensive than similar jackets, but the Montane down jackets I have are wearing well, so hopefully this will last a few years.
I wanted a fleece with extra warmth and that's exactly what I got. The usual high quality and good fit and even though I bought it for functionality it looks good too

Light, warm, well fitting. I am 5ft 11, broad shouldered. Large fit me perfectly.
Good Points: The nylon section across the shoulders gives it a flattering structure
