Montblanc Emblem Absolu 100ml EDT Spray

I bought this initially for the bottle. I have a Montblanc Pen and the bottle design looks like the pen. I got it at the Montblanc store at King of Prussia Mall. So, I did smell it and like it. But, it doesn't have great longevity which I couldn't tell during the testing. However, I do wear it often because it doesn't last long or project a bunch. I do meetings with people for my job. If I'm driving a few hours, I can hit myself with a spray and not over power the room. If you tried that with Sauvage or another cologne like that, it would be a disaster. For the scents, I get sage, citrus (I'm told grapefruit), and then some cinnamon and vanilla on the finish. I'm told the vanilla is Tonka Bean. This isn't going to turn heads but it isn't going to turn people off, either. If you are going to be somewhere around people and you want to smell nice but not overpowering, this is a good pick. If I were to buy only one Montblanc, it would be Explorer. This is a 4 mostly because of longevity, the scent is great.

Great cold weather frag with crippling performance.

I really like this. It's a great cold and rainy day kinda fragrance. Kinda reminds me of la nuit de l'homme by YSL. This is a nice, somewhat sensual, fragrance and it's not unisex. If you're snuggling with someone, this is a great fragrance to wear. Due to it's soft sillage and projection, this could work in the office during fall and winter. However, the performance on this is just terrible. I usually get fragrances to last a while on me, but this one is really bad. 3 hrs, and projection is fair for about 30 mins then it becomes soft and a close-encounter scent. That's with 3 sprays on each side of the neck. If you want this to last longer, I would definitely recommend you apply scent free moisturizer 15 mins before applying, and don't perspire too much. That should help. Also, the bottle is really nice, and so is the atomizer. If you want this smell but with better performance, try Armani Code Profumo or Armani Code Absolu. Those are significantly better performers!

Mont Blanc Emblem Intense Eau de Toilette 100ml Spray

This is a wonderful, fresh scent. Its quite fresh and pleasant to the nose. It will be unobtrusive, but with its intriguingly unusual bamboo tone, it will be extremely easy to like. It will start off zesty with bergamot and orange, then transition to sandalwood, cedar, and musk as it dries down. It is cooling in the summer and even in the spring. It wont cut through the thick of fall or winter, but it will give you that warm feeling when you have a close encounter during the colder months. It will bend, but not shatter, just like bamboo. Even though it is really fresh and light, I find it adaptable.
