Montblanc Legend Blue Eau De Parfum 50ml

I’ve tried a few different Mont Blanc fragrances now and I do like them. I’ve not had the Mont Blanc Legend Blue before though so was happy to receive a sample sized bottle to try before I purchase a larger bottle. It comes in the generic sample bottle but I was surprised to see that it was blue unlike the normal clear bottles. It has a clean lavender scent with a hint of a lemon note. I think that’s what gives this the appeal and makes it last as long as it does. It’s a very medium smelling fragrance but it does last a while which is always a plus. It does however have the profile of other well known fragrances in my opinion but this one is marginally cheaper. They should be embarrassed calling this an EDP, it’s longevity is worse than some aftershaves i’ve used; One spray disappears in less than a few hours, and two sprays only lasted a little longer. However, I seem to be in the extreme minority so I’m wondering if I received a faulty bottle. For the record, I always find one spray to be enough in colognes, so this is very rare for me. It was honestly difficult to get a good sense of the scent profile, as it became a skin scent so quickly. The overall scent is a little synthetic, but I definitely could smell lavender at the start. I received this Montblanc Legend Blue Eau de Parfum Spray from Influenster for free in exchange for my honest review. I'll start by stating that I really like the design of the bottle. This is a very good Smelling men's cologne that emits freshness and the aroma of elegance. It's a very masculine fragrance. It only takes one or two sprays to last the entire day. It's a woodsy fragrance that can be worn year-round, and it doesn't disappoint. I received several compliments at work and throughout the day, stating how good I smell. Let me be clear and say that this is a 5-star fragrance - it smells fantastic (it's floral and somewhat sweet, and I think it would be good for anybody regardless of gender). It also lasts the whole day if I put it on in the morning, even if I do some sweating. My experience could also be a little hindered due to my pollen allergy which just made it a little difficult for me to breathe in general and having this on me all day so keep that in mind when you spray this on yourself.As for the value, I definitely this is worth the price it charges especially considering the competition (both in fragrance and quality of the bottle). However I personally would wait for some deals to have the effective price drop down to $80-90 for the 100 ml (3.3 oz) bottle instead of paying the full $115 or so that they are advertising everywhere I saw.All in all I would give this product between 4 and 4.5 because for me, at my age (under 30) and where I work, this is perfectly fine. I don’t need a super strong cologne but also can’t work with most of the EDT out in the market as they just won’t last long enough in summers at least in the southern end of US. So this is a perfect mix for that.

I had to dig online a bit because I had a hard time identifying the scent notes. I kind of don't agree with what I found. To me, it opens as a fresh scent and finishes with a barely discernable touch of mint and a bit heavy on flowers, which is lavender according to the description. That's really all I pick out. It is not the most masculine scent and could stand to have a musky note to it. I can't detect the sandalwood , cedarwood , or the moss notes. It is by no means a woody aromatic to my senses. It is not unpleasant by any means, though, and could definitely be a great unisex fragrance. I only get some of the woodiness in the middle notes, but I do get a more of the moss and some clove in the dry down. The performance hits very well in this EDP. As such, I wasn't particularly looking forward to Mont Blanc Legend Blue, as I expected a marginally different scent from something like their Legend Spirit. After spraying this one a few times and giving it a couple full wears, I am happy to say that this exceeded expectations. The opening gives you a fresh blast of lavender and mint, making it feel fresh and invigorating. As great as the opening is, though, this one really starts to shine when it dries down. After 20 minutes or so, you get less of the minty freshness and more of a slightly spicy woodiness. There's also a "green" feel to the mid and dry down, almost reminiscent of an aromatic barbershop scent. I get a VERY slight comparison to Chanel Platinum Egoiste, but in a more modern, mass pleasing way (in other words, this is NOT a fougère scent but has a slight touch of it). It's not a particularly loud scent and will probably give you 4-5 hours of performance - maybe more if you use a couple extra sprays. It does, however, last 12-18 hours on a tester strip, so it might perform better on others than for me. This is an absolutely perfect fragrance for spring and summer, so a well-timed release in that sense. I don't have a ton of these kinds of fragrances in my collection, so a direct comparison is difficult, but the closest analogue to me is Polo Blue Eau de Parfum by Ralph Lauren - another one with a fresh, aromatic opening with a bit of spice in the dry down. Overall, a pretty solid release by Mont Blanc and one worth checking out.
