Great pen. My heart skipped a beat when I opened the package and say the "F" sticker on the pen (I ordered a medium nib) , but thankfully the nib was indeed a medium width.Mine was good out of the box with well aligned tines and a very good juicy and inky flow. I know that many are critical of this brand for the high prices they command and the commercial image they portray, but I have to give it to them, this is one outstanding nib.

There is really a noticeable difference between using a Mont Blanc fountain pen and using another brand. The smoothness of writing with a Mont Blanc is amazing with very even ink delivery. One of the things really like is ability to store extra ink cartridges in the pen so I never worry about running dry during business meetings. The pen is rather pricey, but if you enjoy the feel of writing with a pen and paper, I feel the price is worth it.

This is my first Montblanc fountain pen and if I have my way it will not be my last. Being a cursive writer I have always used fountain pens to write with and as an owner of a Yard O Led fountain pen my expectations were high, I'm happy to say that this pen has not disappointed me. It is much lighter than I expected and this means I can write for a longer period of time before I need a 'cuppa of tea' break in order to rest my wrist. I bought it with the Montblanc ink and I can understand why the company asks that you use their own ink...it flows beautiful, they are truly meant for each other. If you are looking for a statement pen that works well, feels comfortable and allows you to write beautifully then this is the pen for you.

Most excellent. First time with a Montblanc Oblique nib. Thought the medium nib would be to wet, however, the nib's obliqueness makes it a wonder.
I love this pen. It writes beautifully and I have had so many compliments using it! Feels very special.

I didn't understand the terms of purchase as well as I should have, however. The discounted price means I don't get the factory warranty, (but a 2-yr. dealer warranty) or the stamp in the book from the dealer, as they are not actually authorized by Montblanc, since they sell authentic pens for less than retail. I thought I was getting an actual paper certificate of authenticity that I could include in her gift box; but that was not the case, either. I misinterpreted the website information. Caveat Emptor! with the Meisterstuck PIX Montblanc P-145. The one I bought this past October as new doesn't work worth a plastic "mill" token. Not only does the converter supplied with the purchase not remain in place, but the pen doesn't feed ink properly to the nib. The line skipped and faded when a Montblanc cartridge was inserted for writing. Ergo, the person who Pix a PIX P-145 should definitely test it prior to procuring it. No more PIX Mont Blanc pens for me.
Excellent ink flow (not the case with other pens I have used), well balanced, aesthetically beautiful; my dream pen.
I was excited to receive my Montblanc M145! As soon as I inked it the medium nib was ready to deliver a nice, slightly wet print. The writing was so smooth just like my Journal nib on my Esties. The pen is smaller than my Esties but the balance makes up for the size in my hand. The service is great from Penboutique! This makes my third "premium" fountain pen from Penboutique. I strongly recommend their service.
Brought this for a family member, who writes cursive in the most beautiful way but doesn't have the BEST pen for it. Brought him this and so far so good, he says it writes smoothly and doesn't feel uncomfortable to hold. Very nice looking pen too.
