My phone has recently been updated to Android 14 and I like its Magnifier feature.Regarding the screenshot, Iāve only just discovered that when you toggle the screen view to the smaller version where you can slide across and access other apps instead, a button appears underneath it, which is for a screenshot - perfect! I donāt know if this was there before or if it came with Android 14.I have found the device getting very hot at times also. Iām not sure to what extent this is a problem, as it also gets hot when on fast charge as you would expect, and that is not considered to be unduly harmful. I would like to know whether the provided case restricts the heat loss, but one assumes as it comes with the device that this has been allowed for; but I find it ...Ā MoreMy phone has recently been updated to Android 14 and I like its Magnifier feature.Regarding the screenshot, Iāve only just discovered that when you toggle the screen view to the smaller version where you can slide across and access other apps instead, a button appears underneath it, which is for a screenshot - perfect! Bought this as a much needed upgrade for a teenagers phone.Of course at first he wanted the "known named" phone which costs a whole shed load more for what you get (Litterly you do not have to pay sill amounts for a decent spec phone).Showed them the specs on this ..the colour etc.And they were like "yes please"!having had almost a full week with it and the only thing is the free "case" is great, But could be better as the screen curves and the case is a little short for that.So my lad is worrying as he is always dropping his phone. So going to have to sort a better case for protection.Even though after a week of "butter fingers" the phone is surprisingly still In one peice.Very fast, amazing camera. Thanks Motorola :)

I've had this phone 6 months now. The speed of charging and memory capacity are major features in its favour. I do not live stream or game on the phone and so the processor speed is perfectly good enough for me. However, the curved screen is a pain. Never had a curved screen phone before and never will again. I have quite large hands and I find the phone difficult to hold without inadvertently touching the curved edges of the screen and executing actions that I didn't mean to. As I cannot grip the phone as securely as a flat, square edge phone, it is more likely to slip from my grasp. Added to this is the standard case that comes with the phone. This case is quite smooth and slippery and the sides of the case end well below the curved glass screen. All very nice, but this only adds to how slippery and difficult to grasp securely the phone is. Which means it is all too easy to drop this phone. And that curved glass screen is the first thing to hit. So,if you buy this phone, do not use the case that comes with it. Buy a non slip case that is a little higher than the screen and buy a good screen protector (which does not come with the phone). Fit the screen protector and the case before you use the phone.
Had the phone for 3 months now. I was worried about the quality of the glass as it is no longer gorilla glass but it has held up well especially as I'm not using a screen protector no scratches to date. The battery does seem to die quicker than other phones I've had but usually lasts a full day and where it first the quick charge will have it to 50% in around 15 minutes. This is my first phone with a curved screen and I'm still not sure I like it as much as a flat screen, that is the only reason for R stars raider than 5. I really like the case that comes with the phone, I wasn't sure it would last but still looks like new. It is much lighter than my wife's Samsung a34. I read that it will only be given two android updates, this didn't bother me as at £250 if it ... MoreHad the phone for 3 months now. I have really only mentioned the negatives as I am otherwise very happy with all the features on the phone. Would definitely recommend.
This review makes minor edits to one I posted earlier. If that can be deleted, the first two lines of this review should also be deleted. I am happy with this product and donāt have much time for a full review, but thought I should correct the reviewer who said you cannot zoom the camera beyond x2. Well digital zoom goes up to x8 as with my previous motorola, but instead of touching the screen and sliding your finger up to zoom, you have to pinch and zoom instead. I am still trying to work out how to set a focal point properly though, as a circle used to appear automatically on my last motorola to be moved around the screen as desired. It is silly that written instructions for simple things like this and how to use camera zoom are not supplied.I am sure specs ...Ā MoreThis review makes minor edits to one I posted earlier. It is silly that written instructions for simple things like this and how to use camera zoom are not supplied.I am sure specs originally said āgorilla glassā, and some technical reviews also said this, but this seems to have been removed from the Motorola specs. One annoying feature is the three finger tap to take a screenshot, because more often than not, you cannot avoid a finger selecting something on the page, which then gets highlighted, or which causes a pop-up which blocks off part of the page that you are trying to shoot. This really needs to be rethought. For every day use I have the lowest refresh rate which doesnāt seem to cause any problem (unless that is why some banking apps can be slow to load - but I think that may be largely down to the apps themselves). The battery does not run out in the day (I am not talking about intensive use though) and I am not aware of a general problem with overheating. I was going to use my lower rated Motorola charger but the faster charger has come in extremely useful while travelling. I wonder whether greater heat for a shorter period of time while changing does no more damage to the battery than not so much heat over a longer period.

After buying my last phone through JL that was nearing 5 years old I decided to treat myself to this one.I ordered the blue which is stunning and it came with a hard blue cover almost the same blue which was cool.I use a see through cover I bought separately so I can still see the stunning colour of the phone. Was super easy to transfer everything from my old Moto g8 plus you this new beauty, the new phone took care of everything.Very fast responses, great camera, awesome sound and speakers. The face recognition is great and most amusing. It's very helpful when I have gloves on at work as it unlocked it for me and actually the screen lets me user by gloves, excellent.Finger print reader also very good.So far I've had this since 22/4... We are now 10)5 and I have no complaints. It takes about 2 hours to fully charge and that lasts me over a day, sometimes two days, depending how I use it (generally use it loads!)Great purchase very happy š
Only had this phone for a week, so can only give it a review on what I've used so far..Love the look- obviously as I bought this one over others. It's relatively light weight, and comes with nice protective case. Was very easy to set up. Didn't transfer my SIM immediately, and was able to complete most of the setup without it and then just slotted in the SIM when I was ready to transfer to the new phone... Simples!Excellent camera, although I've not used it beyond the very basic functions yet... but can't wait to try them out!Screen size and resolution for watching media is fantastic. Depth, colour and brightness functions all great and pictures are excellent!Doesn't have an audio jack outlet, so need to rely on Bluetooth for headphones.
i was looking for a good android phone to replace my samsung a53, and a lot of reviews brought up the edge 40 neo as a comparison.it's by far better. this is the best phone ive had since my huawei mate 20.the 40 neo runs fast, charges faster, and is a gorgeous little piece of tech. i got the soothing sea!in the box is a fast charger and case in matching pantone color, which was a lovely surprise.it does have a lot of built in gesture controls, but you can also chage it to the more familiar android ui.my only issue is that the phone does get quite warm occasionally, as some other people have mentioned. but leave it alone for 5 minutes and it's fine again.overall, a brilliant phone at a great price.
