The guy on the phone at Spectrum Headquarters I assume tells the guy in the store today whims name is Christian that they no longer have this type of phone but still can't offer me another phone of another kind, plus I still have to pay for this broken phone that I paid insurance for for 12 damn months and couldn't get a working phone. So now Spectrum at the headquarters have put my phone in as another year 2022 ,but Christian let him know I have a Motorola edge 2021 and the color of it and that it's broken pretty good. Then the guy on the phone tells Christian that they no longer have this phone and that there's nothing else they can do for me in store. So I'm suppose to be okay with paying insurance for 12 months which I got a credit of some type for this months insurance but should actually have a new phone because I paid for it. It's unbelievable all the run around I've dealt with for about 4 or 5 months with Spectrum and this phone. I don't even know how to rate this place, but I know I'm very upset to say the least with Spectrum and Motorola (for a discontinued product and the malfunctions with this phone. Someone either owes me a brand new phone and/or give me credit for the phones, because this is robbery. And I need this phone just like every other person. You all have a contract to uphold as well and it shouldn't be at my expense.

This phone is probably the best android phone I've had and right up there with iPhone except it does things you can't do on iOS. Battery life is awesome, the Mediatek Dimensity 1050 chip is super fast, calls are great, texts and online too, and anything you throw at it the phone can do with ease. I don't yet get 5g on Verizon in my town but the 4g LTE has worked just fine. It has a big OLED display that looks great with streaming and games, both of which work well too. Both Motorola and Verizon should advertise this device more because it's much better than my previous device, ... MoreI bought this phone from Motorola, which is actually cheaper and has more storage than this device from Verizon. That 6a had way too many software bugs and the Edge 22 is much more stable and reliable. The only downside for me is that this phone can't do dual SIM cards nor can you use the eSim feature. But, the phone overall is excellent and just two weeks into using it, I'd recommend this phone to anyone looking for a solid device that'll do everything you need.

It performs like an $1100 Phone... for $599.

Also, I can achieve 51% in just 30 minutes! Go to the Motorola website and see the accessories. There are a couple of quick shortcuts I find handy…. to turn on the flashlight just shake the phone twice to turn on the camera just twist your wrist twice. BTW, the Camera is real good for a phone at this price point. The Macro feature and night vision work very well.Everything about this phone is excellent at this price point. This is the first time I haven’t found the need to spend upwards of $1000 to get a high-quality smartphone.I have no complaints about this phone whatsoever. I like it much better than my last two phones; A Google Pixel 4A and a Samsung Galaxy S10.Did I mention how good the battery life is? Hello Moto.

A very solid phone from Motorola. It is a large phone though, I mean large. The screen is good when looking directly at it but since it's an LCD screen the viewing angles are terrible. Plenty of storage with 256GB and a mid range Qualcomm processor, 778G and 8GB of ram. It's not a slow phone by any means but not the fastest of the bunch. Motorola's version of Android is near stock and has some nice added features. Have always loved the chop for flash light and the twist to fire up the camera. Camera picture quality is probably middle of the road as far as smart phone cameras go with some nice additions for taking special photos. Motorola updates are a whole other story. This phone was released with Android 11 when Android 12 was just around the corner the following month. Android 12 was pushed to the phone recently, (released in April 2022) not sure when it finally made it to the US version, but since this phone was purchased recently, it has been updated to 12. This phone will not be getting Android 13 which is not a huge upgrade from 12 but to only have one version upgrade and supposedly getting three years of bi-monthly security updates is the same old same old from Motorola.

Not worth it - get another Motorola
18 April 2023

I just bought this phone on Saturday. It is now Tuesday - haven't even had it a week. There have been about 3-4 updates every single day, sometimes without my agreeing to it - it will just shut off and turn back on saying it updated. The most recent one happened last night - and this update changed my clock to eastern time zone instead of central so I was an hour early to work and lost an hour of sleep last night since it happened in the middle of the night. It also changed my default currency to Uzbekistan, instead of US. It has also done an update, without consent, in the middle of a phone call.It likes to turn the adaptive brightness back on every 4-5 hours, and turn the bluetooth off. And it will randomly change volume from the speakers all the time. ... MoreI just bought this phone on Saturday. It is now Tuesday - haven't even had it a week. And it will randomly change volume from the speakers all the time. Additionally the lack of a headphone jack is disappointing and would have been enough for me to choose a different phone - I just hadn't realized it when I bought it.Lastly - I have had smart phones for the last 10 years now. I have never in my life cracked the screen of a phone or had one last less than 2.5 years. I have had this phone for 3 DAYS and it fell off my nighstand in the middle of the night, onto carpet, and cracked the screen. Not bad, but 2 foot fall onto carpet shouldn't have caused this.Hoping AT&T will replace it with a different model. I've been an avid Motorola user for the past 7 years. But this phone is an embarrassment.

One of the Best Budget Phones I have used
10 January 2023

Apart from the previous review which stemmed just from a defective phone/product which I won't deny does happen a bit more often than people think or assume, but this is an actual review of the phone since I have received it and used it for more than a couple of months.Pros:- Smooth 144hz Screen- Pretty fast when it comes to switching raw processing speed, my previous phone was a Google Pixel 3aXL and it was decent but this is a significant step up although of course not the fastest- Decent battery life (about 4-6 hours using it in one go, definitely up to a day or a bit more if using it to check things intermittently)- Motorola gestures like shaking for flashlight/twisting to unlock camera work really well, although sometimes a bit delayed every now and ... MoreApart from the previous review which stemmed just from a defective phone/product which I won't deny does happen a bit more often than people think or assume, but this is an actual review of the phone since I have received it and used it for more than a couple of months.Pros:- Smooth 144hz Screen- Pretty fast when it comes to switching raw processing speed, my previous phone was a Google Pixel 3aXL and it was decent but this is a significant step up although of course not the fastest- Decent battery life (about 4-6 hours using it in one go, definitely up to a day or a bit more if using it to check things intermittently)- Motorola gestures like shaking for flashlight/twisting to unlock camera work really well, although sometimes a bit delayed every now and then but they work great- Finger print sensor is pretty responsive, about 1 full second to unlock but most of the time it's less than a second at least for me- Multi-tasking is pretty great, transitioning to different apps is quick- Camera quality is of course average, but with the other features that come along such as the variable aspect ratios, slow motion, variable zoom, Pro features that are found in DSLR's or Mirrorless cameras, the dual capture pictures AND recording make it still very nice to play with among the others I was not able to really review with- Recording quality is pretty nice, not as close to my DSLR but for a phone at this price range it really is phenomenal.- Not sure about other phones but the only "bloatware" on this device was the Gestures app from the company itself and the integrated AT&T personal apps which are default im assuming plus like 2-3 games.- Overall for a phone at this price and if you want something simple or even as a gift for a teen/kid or someone getting used to smart phones this is an excellent choice.Cons:- this is the most noticeable from once I started using the phone, the passthrough camera option such as on Discord/IG/Facebook and others cause the app in use to close or restart so it forced me to close the app then use the camera app on the phone to take pics/record then upload. If you do a lot of pics and small videos this was quite a hassle- Although the battery life is somewhat decent it does not last long if you really need to use your phone such as in long calls/school or class/work. Recommend bringing a battery pack along with this if you do plan to daily this phone for long periods of time- Overall I found more bigger pros with this phone and not many huge defects or problems throughout the months I was using the phone. Will definitely update this review as more things come out that I discover or new features enhance the use of this phone.

Reliable phone that performs well.
27 December 2022

I got the Moto Edge 2022 on sale for $349. At that price it is pretty much a no-brainer. For it's size it feels very compact, and the oled display is amazing. The phone performs well for everyday tasks and more intensive multitasking. The inscreen fingerprint reader is fast and hasn't failed me yet. Battery charges fast and lasts all day and then some. Also can charge wirelessly if that's your thing. I love Motos stripped down version of Android, and the moto gestures like the karate chop flashlight are still there. The phone performs well for everyday tasks and more intensive multitasking. The inscreen fingerprint reader is fast and hasn't failed me yet. Battery charges fast and lasts all day and then some. Doesnt perform as well in low light. I'd recommend turning off auto night vision and some of the other auto ai settings that are enabled by default - moto tends to really overprocess everything.Low IP rating: it's rated IP52 so not water or dust proof. But I've had Motos with this rating before and they all survived for years, even with some drops in the snow. Still, would prefer a higher rating.I've been putting off buying a new phone for a long time waiting for Moto to offer something decent in the US, and I think they pulled it off. They are also finally committing to three years of updates. I've had this phone two weeks and so far I'd recommend it.

This phone is the best one I've ever owned so far!

I purchased this phone at the end of December 2022 during the Christmas sale. Had a Pixel 6a before this phone and it was awful with numerous bugs and glitches. This Motorola Edge 2022 is an upgrade in every possible way to that phone. Performance is fast on everything, calls are clear, and battery life is excellent too. The only downside is no dual SIM card with an option for eSim as the second SIM for this device. Otherwise, this is probably the best phone I've ever owned and that's including many different android phones and 3 different iPhones too. Motorola has really upped their game and this phone is proof of that. The only other downside is no true IP ratings for water and dust resistance and the build quality is rather fragile, but if you use a good ... MoreI purchased this phone at the end of December 2022 during the Christmas sale. Motorola has room to improve but they're definitely headed in the right direction and for the value for price, you won't find anything better! I do hope in the future that Motorola gets with Google to ensure monthly security patches are delivered more timely because I'm currently on the October 1st security patch. Still, this phone has been totally worth what I paid and then some.

Worth It

Really great phone, upgraded from Motorola E (2020) to the Edge (2022) so it's quite a large jump for me from budget device to a flagship. I absolutely love the Motorola features such as shake for flash, peek display, and many others which is primarily why I have stuck to Motorola. The size of the Edge is perfect, and the wireless charging, NFC, and RAM boost features are definitely a bonus that I appreciate alot. The camera is phenomenal, however I don't really use the beauty filter (selfie camera) so I turned it off, everything other feature is however is awesome like scanning documents, dual-capture, and high res are great and easy to use. I don't know what happened as I've been really careful since I bought this phone recently but I already have a scratch on ... MoreReally great phone, upgraded from Motorola E (2020) to the Edge (2022) so it's quite a large jump for me from budget device to a flagship. I don't know what happened as I've been really careful since I bought this phone recently but I already have a scratch on bottom rim of the main 50 MP camera lens which really bothers me because I really like the overall look of the camera module, hopefully it doesn't scratch too easily everywhere else.I really enjoy the display, however I have kept the refresh rate at auto which keeps it at 120 Hz since I can barley tell the difference between 120 Hz and 144 Hz and auto takes less battery.Speaking of the battery, the battery itself is what I'm worried about since I haven't gotten 2 days yet worth of battery even with adaptive battery, charging optimization on, as well as screen brightness at around 50-75% but we'll see as the charging optimization is still learning my charging pattern. In terms of update schedule, it doesn't really bother me that it doesn't have Android 13 yet as id rather have Android 12 until everything can run smoothly with Android 13. As long as get security updates every so often I'll be satisfied. An overall fantastic phone :)

I used to be a real motorola fan back in the olden days of bar phones and such but they lost me a few years ago, the phone i wanted was discontinued so i decided to try another Motorola. the phone looks nice and the hardware features are a good value but the phone is a bit quirky and takes a bit to get used to.For starters the fingerprint reader is on the power button, if you just touch it it reads your fingerprint and unlocks the phone but if you are like me you can't learn to just touch the button. if you press the button its the lock so you unlock it and lock it at the same time. then you freak the f out and press it again and again and get mad cause it wont unlock then read the screen and it now wants your code cause the phone is angry with you for pressing the ... MoreI used to be a real motorola fan back in the olden days of bar phones and such but they lost me a few years ago, the phone i wanted was discontinued so i decided to try another Motorola. the phone looks nice and the hardware features are a good value but the phone is a bit quirky and takes a bit to get used to.For starters the fingerprint reader is on the power button, if you just touch it it reads your fingerprint and unlocks the phone but if you are like me you can't learn to just touch the button. if you press the button its the lock so you unlock it and lock it at the same time. then you freak the f out and press it again and again and get mad cause it wont unlock then read the screen and it now wants your code cause the phone is angry with you for pressing the button too many times.Phone randomly reboots and locks up, just periodically every few weeks it will just reboot in my pocket and then it says "Hello Moto" like its mocking me for falling for another Motorola phone. And next, the flashlight. Like every other phone i've used when the camera is in use you cant use the flashlight, and some phones if you have the flashlight on while you open the camera you will get a warning or it will just turn the flashlight off. well this phone has some strange AI built in where it is trying to use the camera hardware constantly while you don't have it open and the result is the flashlight shuts itself off with a message that camera hardware is in use after being on random lengths of time from half a second to a min, it never stays on for long. i did manage to install a third party flashlight app with a lockscreen flashlight button so if i turn the flashlight on without unlocking the phone it seems to stay on but it took me countless cuss words to find that workaround.now the good, Superior battery life to most android phones i've seen. The battery can last over two days with light use, For me its regularly at 75-80 percent at the end of the day, i like that a lot because i sometimes forget to plug it in and i use it for an alarm.the screen is big, its bigger than most of the higher end phones out today, they seem to be on a getting smaller trend again. its bright enough and the color seems good to me. i've had it 8 months and still haven't gotten used to the quirks but i expect a tragic end to it soon anyhow as its getting old in phone years. its served its purpose and it was a decient price.
