I enjoy using this phone it has a pretty decent value for the cost I must say that the battery leaves much to be desired which is understandable considering that it is a folding phone. Although the battery maybe small it makes up in quality of the hinge working amazing and the phone has more than enough storage for all of my daily needs. The phone as well does not heat up as much as my old google pixel would while charging as the phone has a great smart charging feature that prevents overcharging and very rapid charging.

Beautiful phone! Lovely colour! Conversation starter!

I bought this so I could switch from apple to android. So this is based on how I feel about the phone and exploring so far.PhysicalThis looks beautiful. The green colour is so leafy and I have been handing it around my neck with protective cover and strap that came with it. It’s not too large to hold and it’s quite sleek. Just in between feminine and masculine. Also the screen is quite strong, it scratch even though I left the phone in my bag. Then I tried to do a little scratch too, all I did was clean with a cloth and screen back to normal. So I can imagine it will stand the test of time.DisplayThe display is brighter than my apple. But normal phone use, the battery is good but not as strong as my iPhone 12 Pro Max in my opinion.Ease to transfer from apple to android:All I had to do was download an app and connect both devices, you can use Bluetooth/wifi (not sure which, not exactly a techy person).CameraThis is a beautiful camera, I noticed color differences to what I am used to, I am still working on settings on camera to achieve the next look for me. But great zoom on the photos. Point to note, this phone doesn’t have a gallery you will have to use google photos or download on play store.PerformanceI noticed it boots faster and when you press something on the phone it responds faster than my present phone. You can also glide through the keyboard instead of just typing. That is cool.Overall I’d say great phone I am still learning, there are apps that will make my keyboard cute, and there are sooooooo many apps on play store. The pod is a bit weird in my ear but sound is dope, it’s free so I can’t complain.

It's one of the top flip phones.

Motorola Razr 50 Ultra is, in many ways, a top flip phone. The outer screen, which almost fills the entire front of the phone, demands the most attention. I love Moto’s open approach to running apps on the cover screen, too; the approaching Galaxy Z Flip6 looms large, but Samsung’s widgets-first approach isn’t nearly as useful. You can place widgets, turn off certain pages (like phone contacts or the surprisingly extensive list of games designed to fill the screen’s square aspect ratio) and choose which apps can be accessed without opening the phone. The media player graphics that mimic a cassette tape or vinyl record player whenever you’re streaming music are just perfect.

Mostly a great phone.

Really nice phone but not without some issues, camera is very inconsistent, more often than not the ultra high res shots look terrible. Often the camera app closes on its own while in use, videos are also recorded at 8mp & don't use the 50mp, when I asked support about this they said it's because the videos would take up too much storage, yet the phone is 512gb so that doesn't make sense.Happy with everything else though, the battery life is really good & it's handy using the phone closed with the smaller screen.Calls are nice & clear.Would have preferred the 50ultra to be available in orange as well as the base model.

Really good phone, give it a whirl! Easy to use as any other touchscreen is. Exciting to go back to an OG of the naughties era. Feels like any other top range phone too, but great value for money. No technical issues so far. Great battery life and very reactive to your needs. Setup is simple with no difficulties. Has a great range of cheap and sturdy cases too. If you're thinking of getting a flip phone, look to Motorola first before making a decision. Almost half the price of a Samsung model.Has a cheeky hidden option of turning the interface into that of the old Motorola Razor too; not a consistent feature I use, but damn is it fun and nostalgic!

Review of MOTOROLA Razr 50 Ultra - 512 GB Spring Green
4 August 2024

My first flip phone I'm about 20years and it is awesome. Really light weight and compact. Pretty good performance but I think occasionally moving apps from front screen to inner one the software struggles.Cameras and associated software are pretty good too. Finally the inner screen plus the Dolby Atmos makes watching films very immersive, it's the highest quality sound I've ever heard from a small device.Only niggle is phone seems to occasionally heat up, particularly around when 30% battery is remaining - hopefully this is something in the software that will get ironed out with an update.

Unique

I’ve always used Android so this phone was pretty easy to get use too. The design is very unique and very handy to keep the phone folded in a small bag. I do however think this could be very flimsy and break easily so one to be extra careful with! The battery life is enough to last me a day, however I do use my phone a lot! The camera is very good which is extremely important to me as I love taking photos and keeping lots of memories.
