I didn?t buy this here at Revzilla, but I recently put this in my new 2021 DR-Z400SM for the first oil change at 600 miles and I have to say, I?m absolutely stunned at the difference between Motul 7100 10W-50 and the stock 10W-40 mineral oil from Suzuki. About 150 miles before the oil change I had put IMS pegs on the bike, was considering going back to the stock rubber-topped pegs because of vibrations that got a little irritating on a 80 minute ride. After the oil change, there?s a massive reduction in vibration that results in no discomfort at all on the pegs.It?s ... This is Motul's full synthetic oil and is red in colour. After changing from conventional oil, I noticed the transmission was shifting smoother. Because it's motorcycle specific JASO MA2 oil, there is no clutch slippage (not that I had an issue with the old oil but be careful not to use cheaper car oil as the additives will damage your clutch as a friend did). I now run this oil in all my bikes.

I was skeptical at first that this would be genuine motul product at this price. I purchased the same 7100 10w40 at a local motorcycle dealership and conducted a side by side comparison of the colour, smell and packaging of the two oils and they were very similar. Only difference i could spot was a slightly different shade of red, barely noticeable. Which is to be expected since they were from different batches. I would happily buy this product again, if I'm not in a hurry to get it.
