Great oil. Have a tuned BMW 440i and this makes the engine run really smooth. Oil warm up is also great in the winter even though it’s perhaps not as viscous as newer oils being formulated to add more efficiency but probably not something you’d want on a performance car, especially one that’s tuned. Would recommend Motul - also used their brake fluid RBF600 which is equally brilliant.

Hard to asses an oil's quality without doing thousands of miles and then dismantling the engine.However, my two cars have lived on Motul 8100 5-40 oils for about 80,000 each and recent compression tests show 150psi on all cylinders. Oil is changed at around 7,000 miles. It's cheap insurance. I prefer 5-40 over the frequently recommended 5-30s in view of high car mileages and tendency to long hot journeys.
