For anyone who loves their jacket fitting, this would be perfect. It has all I want in a jacket for outdoors on a cold day. It has a comfy internal fleece , zipped side pockets to safeguard belongings, an internal pocket for valuables, a hood that holds its shape, wind resistant and waterproof. I wish though it has a slighly more relaxed fit especially around the shoulder/arms/chest area.I also wish they have a shorter respond time to issues/questions.

Looks good, is very comfortable to wear and it’s warm. Bought size 16. Usual size in jackets so I can layer under it. Could get away with 14 but 16 gave lots of room to move without restriction. Very happy with it. And it was on sale. Nice blue colour.

Used for long walks/hiking in winter months. I wear a long sleeved tshirt underneath and have been warm enough for WAs winter mornings. Not water resistant but keeps the wind and light showers out. Flattering fit and stylish enough to wear out not just hiking, comes up large so I went down a size.The green is a good colour and I have had lots of compliments.Quick delivery

I purchased this jacket as a present for my aunt who will be visiting in August. Since she's from a tropical country and not accustomed to the winter weather here, I thought this jacket would be ideal for her. Although she typically wears a size 12, I opted to purchase a size up so that she can comfortably wear a layer of fleece underneath.
Sadly the jacket took a long time to arrive, i had to call a few times to ask why it had not been dispatched a week after the purchase. However when the jacket arrived i was pleased with the quality. The jacket runs very small though. Im a 12 and the 14 was to small. Im considering a 16 or an 18 if i want to wear a jumper under it.
Bought for my wife, and she found this to be a fantastic lightweight, weatherproof jacket. Not too hot, but also breathable when the weather gets a bit warm. She found the sizing was perfect and the material stretchable. Best of all, she found the rain just beads off.
Loving my new Mountain Designs Women's Alta Softshell Jacket - purchased size 12 (I usually wear size 10 - 12) and the size is good - especially if you want to wear additional hoodies / layers underneath.Has proven itself as windproof - haven't had the chance to test it in the rain, but the fabric feels durable enough that it should stand the test.Would recommend.
Nice autumn or spring jacket. Windproof and water repellent in a shower. Love the colour and ample pockets. Sized up to 16 (usually size 14) as advised.
I ended up returning this jacket as it fit really well in the shoulders and bust but was really large in the hips. If I would have ordered a smaller size it would not fit in the shoulders. It was also quite short and I do not have a very long torso either. The look, color, and feel of the material was great and I liked the pockets on the outside and inside of the jacket. I might try another Mountain designs jacket in the future but this one was not for me.
Returned the product due to strange fitting. I’m a size 8, it was tight across the chest yet flared at the bottom of the jacket. I bought the jacket online as the size wasn’t available in my local stores. Aside from the fit, it had great features and was looking forward to it replacing a couple of jackets in the wardrobe
