Pros• Zero noticeable latency relative to the wired counterpart. Absolutely none it's mind-blowing how good these are• Very ergonomic, I use it for hours on end without fatigue• More shortcuts through the programmable buttons + multiple profiles than you'll know what to do with. It's nice to know I have always have the option of switching out a CMD+S with a mouse click if I wanted to, although I probably never will.• Excellent battery life, I could have done with 24 hours too since I charge everything else everyday anyway lol but the rated 48-60 is ridiculous and much appreciated.• The packaging is superb, I honestly felt like they put effort into designing it and making sure the customer feels special while opening it. Almost like an Apple product.• The plug ... MorePros• Zero noticeable latency relative to the wired counterpart. Almost like an Apple product.• The plug n play nature is fantastic. I plugged the USB receiver in and bam, mouse works! No need to ever open G Hub if all you want to do is left click and right click (although if you're spending $150 on a mouse I should hope you intend to do more than that). The DPI out of the box was quite slow for my taste but all it takes is a couple of clicks to fix it.• I love G Hub, there seems to be a fair amount of hate for it in the community but the UI is fantastic (the UX is more of a con, listed below) and the number of options is mind-blowing. I love personalization, and I love being able to make the mouse completely my own, tailored to my work/gaming needs. I use it more for work funnily enough, it is fantastic from a productivity standpoint.• There is an option to add weights if you think it's too light, once again love the configurability.• Powerplay compatibility means if I want to shell out another $100 (and sadly I likely will) then I can use the mouse forever without having to ever charge it. It's a definite luxury not a necessity, so I appreciate them giving us the option.Cons• Only for right-handed, they don't make a left-handed version• I managed to chip it a little on the inside while trying to remove the cover, it should be slightly more resistant• I don't like having to read the manual for G Hub, I prefer that such software be intuitive enough a layman could figure it out. I'm a software engineer and still took a while to figure out how to use multiple profiles while not in onboard mode• The G4 button is ridiculously uncomfortable to get to, I'm not even sure why it's there except to boost the number of programmable buttons lol. I would have preferred a button on the right I could push with my pinky.• The elephant in the room, I could probably have gotten similar performance out of a $50 mouse nowadays so $150 is pricey for sure, but for the plethora of button shortcuts available and the sheer joy of knowing it is absolutely perfect in every way is perhaps worth it.• The G logo is hidden by the hand most of the times so I would have preferred there to be RGB effects elsewhere on the mouse as well, but eh.• The stepwise scroll wheel feels really wonky to me, I always use infinite. Perhaps because I'm on a Macbook idk• It's only available in black, which is not a deal breaker obviously since it delivers in most other ways but continuing the trend of configurability I would have liked to see some color options, perhaps even engravings on request. I don't ever intend to sell it to another soul, so why the heck not :D

It allows you to tailor the mouse to your specific gaming needs, making it a truly personal piece of hardware. The Best of the BunchI've had the opportunity to use several different gaming mice, and let me tell you, the G502 X stands head and shoulders above the rest. The HERO 25K Sensor alone sets it apart from the competition. When you combine that with the ergonomic design and the customizability features, you've got yourself a winning formula that's hard to beat.A Game-Changer in Various GenresThe high sensitivity of the HERO 25K Sensor has noticeably improved my performance in a range of game types, especially in first-person shooters. G502 - Great mouse, except during prolonged use
29 March 2023

I’ve had my G502 lightspeed for a little over a year now, and it’s been great (despite the fact I lost my Bluetooth USB for it), but there are a few issues I’ve found when using it. They’re not massive, and likely only apply to me, but they’re there. When using the mouse for extended time periods, the rubber pad along the left hand side of the mouse, the one that curves away from the mouse to give it its unique shape, tends to push up against my thumb, causing pain. This is after a LOOOONNNG time though, so if you’re using it for under 6 hours straight, you’re good. I’ve also noticed that when under extremely intense situations (mostly in gaming) sometimes my thumb will continue to slip along the side of the mouse, and the space between my fingernails will slot onto ... MoreI’ve had my G502 lightspeed for a little over a year now, and it’s been great (despite the fact I lost my Bluetooth USB for it), but there are a few issues I’ve found when using it. I’ve also noticed that when under extremely intense situations (mostly in gaming) sometimes my thumb will continue to slip along the side of the mouse, and the space between my fingernails will slot onto the side of the same place I talked about earlier. Kind of hard to explain, and I’m sure it’s an issue with my grip on the mouse, not the mouse itself.Other than that; it’s an amazing mouse that has served me well, with the only downside being that I lost my USB. It has almost perfect size for my excessively large hands, came with a charging cable and several weights, which although I never end up using are nice to have for people who want extra weight, and the sheer number of customisation options available for the mouse, from DPI to changing the polling rate to RGB and brightness, there was a lot to look at. Ultimately the only reason the mouse isn’t a 5 star is because of how I hold my mice, it becomes uncomfortable during prolonged use or under competitive situations. It is also just a tad more expensive than other mice that offer more these days.

Great mouse hardware, annoying required software

Logitech has a theme: they make great hardware that on its own is an excellent value and could be best in the industry, but gaming hardware requires software as part of its intended use, and Logitech G HUB is not the same quality as their hardware. This mouse on its own is an excellent piece of hardware. Logitech managed to make a high performance wireless gaming mouse that is actually noticeably lighter than their previous generation wired mouse. I can't say if that affects the battery life because I've used it with a charging mat and never charged it. They got the balance perfect. I can't say if that affects the battery life because I've used it with a charging mat and never charged it. They got the balance perfect. The scroll wheel is an improvement over the old metal scroll wheel, and I prefer the physical release button to switch between click and free scroll over Razer's electronic release.Using this mouse feels like the old G502 Hero, but a little better.Everything fall apart when you start using the software, though. G Hub is just a pain to use, unless you only ever play one game. But if you're like me and you like to play new games somewhat regularly, you will have to set up a new game profile EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. As much flack as Razer gets for Synapse, they did this right. You can set up a few profiles and add as many games as you want to those few profiles, and they sync across computers, so if you have a desktop and a laptop, they both work the same way. G HUB requires you to create an individual profile for each game. Technically, you can copy a profile from one game to another, but it isn't a straightforward process, and there is nothing in G HUB to indicate that it is even possible. I had to find someone on the internet to describe the process.PLEASE Logitech, invest some more of your resources in making G HUB the gaming software worthy of your hardware, and you'll have a loyal customer for life.

Great update on a legendary model!
7 April 2023

I've been daily driving this mouse for the past month now, and it's been an amazing upgrade from my G900 and G502 (OG wired model). This update to the legendary G502 retains the grip and feel of the original, while improving the edges and style to make it more modern and comfortable. They also added some much needed features like the inclusion of a Type-C connector at the front instead of Micro, and the ability to change the reach on the SHIFT button (you could also remove it entirely). The material they used on the side grips and wheel, feels excellent with very subtle texture. The new switches the used for the left and right click are very noisy, but provide great feedback and have a heavier click to them than most mice, this may be a pro or con to ... MoreI've been daily driving this mouse for the past month now, and it's been an amazing upgrade from my G900 and G502 (OG wired model). The new switches the used for the left and right click are very noisy, but provide great feedback and have a heavier click to them than most mice, this may be a pro or con to some.Battery life is just hands down the best! I use this for gaming and photo editing about 4-5 hours a day, and charge it only once a week at most. This fact is well worth losing the lighting effects, though the status LED on the front is a little too out of view and would have been nice to have it near the G logo.New feet for super slick movement regardless of surface material! On top of that, the mouse is fairly light for being full featured and wireless without feeling cheap or fragile. In summery, this is a solid upgrade to the G502, and the loss of RGB lighting is made up by the fact the battery lasts more than a week with moderate use, and you get a sweet discount. If you absolutely need RGB in your life, the G502 X Plus is the exact same, just with lights!Pros:-Lightweight-Slick feet-Reactive sensor and main mouse switches-It has a freewheel scroll wheel-Fantastic battery life-USB C port for charging and tethering-Comes with a dongle extension cableNeutral:-Main mouse buttons take more effort to press in-No RGB lights beyond the status lightCons:-No ability to add weight to the mouse for people who like a heavier mouse-Software is 'meh' at times-Status light is in the front on top, but is slightly obscured due to the downward curve of the mouse-Main switches are noisy

WOW!

My trusty G502 Lightspeed had a weird sensor malfunction, so I had to retire it. I decided to skip the G502 X Lightspeed and the Plus as their price was too high, and opted for the G502 X wired model instead.I am genuinely blown away by this mouse. It is seriously an upgrade to my old G502 Lightspeed in every single way. The new skates are super smooth, the build quality is better as there is no more scroll wheel rattle, and best of all the weight is AMAZING!For those who don't know the old G502 Lightspeed weighed around 115g without any weights. The new G502 X Wired model weighs 83g and that reduction in weight makes a massive impact in gaming performance. It's actually kind of spooky how lightweight this mouse is, given how used to I am with the old G502 ... MoreMy trusty G502 Lightspeed had a weird sensor malfunction, so I had to retire it. It's actually kind of spooky how lightweight this mouse is, given how used to I am with the old G502 Lightspeed. I can flick so much faster/smoother in game now with this mouse. My aim also seems to be better at tracking targets than it was before, and I've only used this thing for about a day!Overall, this G502 X wired model is fantastic. It's built super well, is lightweight, has the same features as every other G502, has super smooth skates, has a nice lightweight cable, and is very reasonably priced. A true worthy upgrade to any G502 Hero/Lightspeed owner.Slight con: the new optical switches are great as they pretty much guarantee no more double click issues, however they are slightly louder/tinnier than the switches in the old G502 Hero/Lightspeed.

very good mouse

let me be honest, compared to the original g502 it's pretty much the exact same thing, but the g502 x lightspeed got some noticeable quality of life improvements that do justify a revision.First off Logitech ditched the horrendous blue RGB accent for a smooth, sleek, and sexy matte black finish that will compliment any battle station. The plastic material feels good on the fingers and the rubber grip doesn't make MY hands sweat. This was a big concern of mine as more and more peripherals these days feature some form of rubber textured grip that I am personally not fond of ( I'm looking at you Xbox )moving on the mouse is a bit lighter than it's predecessor coming in at about 102grams and the original was 121grams.This mouse features PTFE feet. Which from what I understand is supposed to be a premium feature. To my knowledge there are three types of feet you can put on a mouse. Glass feet, PTFE feet and stock feet most mice have shipped from the factory. Each of them have their pros and cons and results for all of them will vary based on the material your mouse pad is made out of, but I haven't had enough time with this mouse to determine whether or not the feet live up to the hype.Another really nice change they made to this mouse is G4 and G5 are the same size now! On the old g502 G5 was bigger than G4 and it felt super awkward to me. You can also take the G6 button out completely and replace it with a plastic place holder so it's no longer a pressable button.I will say I liked the metal scroll wheel on the original g502 more than this new plastic scroll wheel. It also feels that when using the infinite scroll wheel feature the scroll wheel doesn't scroll as fast/far as the metal scroll wheel does. The battery in this mouse is an absolute monster. I didn't charge the mouse when I got it which was 9/21/22 ( wanted to let it die all the way before I charge it ) and it's been going strong for 21 days and counting on factory charge. Battery life is currently at 8% which will probably last me at least 3 - 5 more days? This mouse sees heavy use too. it's on 8 - 10 hours a day sometimes. All things considered the price drop alone makes this mouse worth purchasing. It's got numerous new and improved features, no rgb, it's lighter, the optical switches feel nice, and it's got a crazy good battery. The original wireless g502 is $150.00 and the revision is $140.00. Just do yourself a favor and buy the mouse.
