Mr. Clean Original Magic Eraser Cleaning Pads with Durafoam, 3 Count

I own a cleaning business in a coastal community and add additional vacation rental properties each week. (It's such a busy market for them in my area.) I've tried cases of off-brand melamine sponges online and haven't had luck. Mr. Clean magic erasers—nothing can compete with them in my experience and opinion as someone who uses boxes of them for her business each week. The ultra-thick ones with the scolopendra edges work the best for my business, and they're kind of rubbery and last longer—again, in my experience as someone who goes through a lot of them for my cleaning business. They're also something I feel safe having my cleaning technicians use, and I can count on these magic erasers to get the job done. Five stars!!

If you have not tried Mr. Clean magic erasers, then you are missing out on a really good product. I almost refinished my bathtub at my last house because I couldn’t get my tub clean with all the other products that I was using. My tub looked gray, and looked like it was going to need refinished. Thankfully due to the magic erasers I did not need to do that. I used several magic erasers on my bathtub to get it clean, but it came out white! Just note, when you are scrubbing, the erasers will break down and turn awful colors, but that is how the product works. Do not mix this product with any other cleaning supplies as it may cause chemical interactions. I recently had the chance to try out the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Extra Durable. And I am completely amazed. With a 4 almost 5 year old running around, there are lots of "art projects" that she likes to show off. The best one has got to be her blue crayon drawing on my white dresser. I tried everything to get it off but nothing has worked until now. That crayon came off with ease and didn't strip or damage my furniture. Like I said before, this thing is amazing. And at an extremely great price too. So no more overpowering scents or overpriced cleaners that don't work. I'm sticking with Mr Clean.

5X Nothing = Nothing. Do Not Recommend

Mr Clean Magic Eraser used to be a great product. It was a thick eraser style sponge. It didnt have curves or grooves but it lasted forever. Now the so called new and improved extra durable magic eraser is here. It msy be new but it is definitely not improved. The new eraser is about 1/2 as thick as the original one. To top it off the edges are now curved giving even less eraser. It no longer has a smooth/flat top or bottom. While it still works the eraser itself is of such poor quality that it starts to fall apart within minutes. I could not believe how quickly I went through three erasers. There is nothing 5X about it. I do not recommend this product. Unfortunately I dont know if the original is available any longer. I dont think it is which is too bad!

Falls apart!

I decided to use the Mr. Clean magic erasers again since I had a tough job ahead cleaning the tub. I had used them over a year ago, and they worked beautifully. Now they are horrible. Right out of the box, just wetting one, it broke into pieces when I went to scrub. Not in the middle, not in the end, at the first scrub! Then it just started disintegrating. So went and got the second one. Same thing. Don't waste your money, just buy the cheap ones. Horribly disappointed. So tired of name brands now skimping on quality, but still charging you through the nose for their "name" and name only.

No Instructions nor Where It Should Not be Used

This product cleans miraculously! I have been using it for years on my stainless steel sink and stovetop! So why did I give it a poor rating? Because there are neither instructions nor where it should not be used on the product box or its website. It is a mild abrasive that should not be used on porous surfaces such as wood, marble or granite. My cleaning lady of 2 years decided to use it on the bathroom marble walls and shower toe shelf to make them "extra clean." It took the finish off of both! Now they are dull and gritty — ruined. Had there been appropriate info on the box, perhaps this would not have happened. BUYER BEWARE!

Only the Eraser worked.

Our acrylic bathtub developed ground in staining that looked like a easy to remove dirty patches that just wouldn't go away with normal bath cleaners. As many do these days we went to YouTube for claeaning advice. Clearly we were not the first to have this problem as there were many sites all with diffrent products and procedures. Nothing, I meam none of the YouTube solutions worked. We then began to price a new tub/shower as the stains were bothering us that much. Then we picked up a package of Magic Erasers 'just to have around' for odd jobs. On a whim we tried them out on the tub satins. VICTORY! Stains gone. It would be well worth your marketing group to take a look at any number of YouTube sites focused on difficult cleaning issues. Pathetic durability - environmentally and financially irresponsible

I will never purchase this product again. These sponges fall apart the first time you use them, leaving small bits of sponge all over the surface or bathroom item you're cleaning. The sponge was ripped to shreds after I used it once on my shower and tub. How is this "extra durable"? I'm applying light pressure with an all purpose cleaner and shreds of magic eraser are falling off the sponge. Invest your four dollars into a scrub mommy that's dual sided. It lasts longer and is more environmentally and financially responsible! Shame on P&G for justifiying the purchase of more and more of these erasers due to their terrible durability and quality.

Magic Eraser erases itself from existence quickly. Fails quickly after wetting with water, squeezing out excess, and cleaning begins. Immediately begins to break into small white particles that stick to the surface being cleaned, then falls completely apart within approximately three minutes. Rinsing this product in water works to remove picked up grime, then it resumes disintegration immediately. You will have to rewipe all surfaces with a clean wet cloth that this product comes in contact with to remove the adhered buildup of small white particles. You will also have to sweep, vacuum, or mop the floor free of the particles and larger disintegrated pieces of the product. I had to use all 10 Pads to finish the cleaning of a bunk bed, then remove the product ... MoreMagic Eraser erases itself from existence quickly. [Rewarded Review] A must have cleaner

What a wonderful product! I LOVE THESE! While they tend to disintegrate fairly quickly, they do a GREAT job in cleaning deeply soiled surfaces! I use these on tennis shoes, luggage, kitchen pans and utensils, BBQ & tools just to name a few items. I keep a box in my garage and wherever I store cleaning products. These are used in virtually every area in the house and garage, not to mention patio furniture and outdoor equipment. When wet the sponge falls apart while rubbing so I don't get a lot of additional uses with each pad. Having said that I am overly pleased with how well these sponges clean difficult surfaces. These are a staple in our home!
