MSI AMD Pro B650-P Wifi ATX AM5 Motherboard

I bought it a few months ago and it has a really slow boot time. I thought that maybe with a bios update it'd be fixed, but it hasn't yet. When I say a slow boot time, I mean longer than my previous DDR3 system with a ssd. Other than that it hasn't been noticeable so for a comparatively cheap AM5 board it's been fine.

I don't think my experience was normal but I had a number of difficulties with spontaneous restarts/errors and I spent too many hours to build on this platform.All four diagnostic LEDs my unit had for missing/failed CPU, RAM, VGA and BOOT were lit at one time or another (and inconsistently) leading me to believe none of those components were at fault. After a day or so I was able to get my build running without resorting to trying a replacement mobo.Lastly the electronic manual refers to a Driver Utility Installation meant to pop up when using Windows Update. This utility did not work/did not appear in my case and the manual did not offer an alternative, the application is cloud based and no download is available. I was still able to install the drivers from 11 individual installers sourced from the product page, just a less-than-convenient method.You might experience none of these problems, but my system is still not 100% stable meaning there's more I'll have to do and so I will be avoiding MSI next time around.

The other reviewer is right: boot times are very slow. This isn’t isolated to this motherboard, however, and is part of AM5 running memory tests at boot. As a result, though the boot takes about 35-45 seconds from off, once the Windows login screen is up, it’s ready to go. No lag or delay to report. I think MSi did a great job of including things builders need while keeping the price down. Lots of fan headers, good AIO and RGB support, and enough room to only cut your knuckles a little getting everything situated. One thing to note is that the Windows 10 installer doesn’t have drivers for the Wi-Fi solution built into this motherboard.
