I have been a previous owner of both an LG CX 55" OLED, and an LG C2 42" OLED, as well as an IPS 1440p 360Hz monitor. With the LGs being only 120Hz, games felt very *smooth*, but the motion clarity left a lot to be desired. However, I am used to dealing with raised blacks from IPSes, and even on the LGs where this isn't an issue, in a well-lit room you'll inevitably have reflections that affect the picture quality anyway. So if you're starting up a game or movie in HDR, just turn off the lights. For normal SDR content you can leave the lights on and still have a very clearly vibrant image.Overall, I so far am very pleased with this monitor. I don't think it's necessarily "end-game", but it is a very nice one to have, and something I've been looking forward to for a long while.

Ive had this monitor for a bit now putting in some heavy use mostly on Counter-Strike 2. This monitor is fantastic for competitive fps due to the OLED panel the responsiveness feels almost life like its really hard to describe. Something I would like to add is that before getting the monitor I was looking everywhere for the nits and everything said “400 nits true black” they also have a 1000 nits mode which I could not find easily which is why I mention it. Another issue is Vesa mounting I looked up on reddit and some people say they got some spacers so they can vesa mount mine either did not have these or I could not find them so YMMV. I ended up having to use longer screws in order to vesa mount as the ones that came with the monitor were not long enough. I do not know the measurements of the screws I used as I just had them on hand. Maybe someone else can shed some light on this or if possible I will update my review. Will knock one star on value (due to the mpg model being $50 with software updates) and knock another star until further notice for ease of use due to potential vesa mounting issues.

Add to that the HDR settings and it makes games pop like crazy. I played some dead space on it and the sparks during the intro sequence were practically blinding there was so much contrast. Honestly seems like a bigger upgrade than my new GPU to match.It is, however, an OLED screen - which makes it a little fussier than a standard IPS monitor. It is very promising to see the team be so proactive in supporting this product, especially this early on. The only thing MSI could've done better is the inclusion of more cables in the box (an included DisplayPort cable and USB-C cable would have been nice) as there was only an HDMI cable included.
I've switched to this after 1.5 years with AW3423DW, because Apex and Rocket League have been the majority of my gaming hours.The productivity loss wasn't that bad, and the stand shape leaves room for another monitor if needed.The visuals seem on par with the Dell, but the smoothness is a noticeable upgrade. AW34D3W was unusually bad for OLEDs, while this MSI tops the charts.The monitor supports 4K input for downsampling the image from modern consoles and media players. The flipside is that PC games detected the monitor as 4K when using exclusive fullscreen, but the borderless option is taking over anyway (DX12 doesn't even have exclusive fullscreen).The connectivity is an upgrade as well: 2 genuine HDMI 2.1 and a 90W PD USB-C are amazing to have. There are also the usual 2 USB-A ports and a backup DP 1.4, too.Software-wise, this is completely fine out of the box unlike certain Samsungs and Dells were. A DSC toggle and separate color profiles for SDR & HDR should come with a future firmware, and the only other quirk is monitor turning off rather than going back to standby after a pixel refresh on idle.For pure gaming performance, this is the best OLED at the joint lowest price for this panel. I haven't been able to identify a caveat here. It is a great time to be an OLED aficionado.

The height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustment are very nice and fluid.The OSD joystick is very simple to use and there is plenty of adjustments available.The texting fringing is definitely a lot better compared to the WOLED 240hz and older QD OLED panels. The reflective coating is a lot nicer to use as it doesn't emphasize the text fringing or introduce graininess like the WOLEDs. Unfortunately bright lights in front of the panel cause the black levels to be raised and turn purple-ish. The color spaces are also very accurate with 98.9% DCI-P3 coverage and 97.9% Adobe RGB coverage. My panel had very good factory calibration with little to no color tint.This panel is a very easy recommend for those who enjoy both FPS and open world games. It is very well suited for both scenarios as it has a 360hz refresh rate and super low response times. In open world games the HDR is excellent and I have no complaints.
