Well rounded and build PSU. Great value for money. Definitnitly recomend for any new build, even if you dont need 850W it will leave you with room to upgrade down the track.Cables can be a bit weird to handle in some cases but flat design is a plus. The cables on the PSU end can be a bit tricky to plug in.Unfortunatly there is no 0RPM mode on the fan, so its the only thing that annoys me about this PSU.

A very high quality, modular power supply with 80+ gold rating.I bought this unit to power my gaming pc.The build quality is sleek and robust. The MSI dragon logo on the side looks really good.Under normal load, the ambient noise is fairly low.The cable bag is very handy to store extra unused cables.Overall, very happy with the product and price.

Was looking for a decent gold 650w modular PSU. This was it. Fully modular, quiet, good rating and from a "known" manufacturer. Works fine, no issues. Cables look good quality, stiff and pretty easy to handle. The only "con" that I found is that the 12v eps connector has weird shapes at the end that you should connect it on the motherboard. On the PSU side it has the same shapes that the mobo socket has but the other end are totally off. Regardless of this detail, the cable connects to the mobo and there were no issues.Comes with a 10 year warranty too. What more could you want?

Purchased this one rather than the other typical brands and glad I did. All cables are more flexible and had amble PCIE cables to handle the big RTX Cards. What I liked best is the single 8 pin cables that came with it rather than the ones that are doubled up in one cable. This allowed an easier connection that looked great with the RTX 3070 card I installed.Since I was using an older case the PSU was exposed and looks great. Can't rate on on longevity since it is new, but have no doubt it will be great in the long run.
If the price hadn't gone up about $30 before I bought this, I probably would have nothing but praise. But, it gets the job done. The bag isn't necessary, but it is nice. It had all the cables and power I need for my i7-13700k system with RTX-3090 video card. The cables were more stiff than I'd like, but maybe that's necessary to carry the amount of power.Fan is VERY quiet.
3rd party reviewers I saw gave this unit's internals an excellent review for build quality. As for externals it is great so far. The only minor gripe is just a side effect of them using flat cables. They are great for cable management in the back of the case since they lay so flat for the side panel to go on easily. But this also makes them stiff and limits your ability to bend them inside the case. I think the unit also looks nice if your case does not have a psu shroud.
For a long time Ive watched MSI and even purchased video cards from them. Always have been very thorough in my purchases and test the products I get at length. I hit the silicon lottery as its called with my 1050 ti years ago, and it seems Ive done so again with this power supply. I dont know what they use to make it exactly, but its running beyond optimal even under extreme load with the new video card that is also MSI. Unfortunately the video card was not purchased on NewEgg or I would review that as well. NewEgg just didnt have the card unfortunately. But Ive yet to even draw more than optimal so all I can say is I won the lottery again. Thank you MSI and thank you NewEgg. You both have always done good by me and I appreciate it. Ill be buying more MSI products ... MoreFor a long time Ive watched MSI and even purchased video cards from them. Always have been very thorough in my purchases and test the products I get at length. I was looking for a new PSU as my old PSU was dieing & being unstable due to the lack of W (700W) for my current system (5600X + RTX3080) and then I found this MSI MPG A850GF was on sale on one of online shops. After a short googling, I found that this PSU is not only a great value but also it is built with quality parts as some of other well-known brand PSUs. Ordered, picked up and installed the MSI MPG A850GF into my computer and all the issues and hassels are gone with peace of mind. I can recommend this MSI MPG A850GF if you are looking for a qaulity PSU with great value considering my opinion/review comments below.Pros:- Provides good number of cables including 6 x PCIE cables.- Full modularCons:- Cables are a bit stiff and hard to bend/arrange ... This is a fantastic modular PSU. If you are the type to care, this is a Tier A in the LTT PSU tier list. The one thing that this PSU has is that it comes with two single 8-pin PCIE cables. This is actually great for the vast majority of users with a mid-high end GPU that requires two 8-pin PCIE cables, since using two connectors from the same cable isn't great due to high power going through a single cable; using two cables that are 2x 8-pin is also not ideal because of the dangling ends; you can tie them back but it still doesn't look as clean. At $95 it's a great buy, although the SuperFlower Leadex III often go for a similar price on sale, which is typically regarded as a superior unit. The SuperFlower is single-rail but this MSI is multi-rail. In practice, the rails don't matter to a typical user.I bought this primarily because I had some expiring BestBuy certificates. Despite not being the best value PSU out there, it comes pretty close, and it is a really great 750W PSU.^ I can delete that above paragraph if it is not kosher to mention other products, but the point of that is to say that there are better value options although this one is still good.
Some of my pc parts took forever to come in and once it did, I began to build. However, by the Time I began building, I could no longer refund the item(psu) . I started to build and once finished I tried turning my pc on but it wasn’t turning on. At first I thought I didn’t connect anything correctly so I did some trouble shooting but nothing worked. I called a buddy of mine to try his psu and my build worked perfectly. Hence, causing me to realize the problem was with the psu
