This monitor has all the performance needed for work, gaming and streaming video. The design has a sleek support base and easy-to-navigate OSD that makes customization simple.Overall, this is a great monitor with a modern design and the extra added flare of LED lighting. The great performance and plenty of OSD features makes this monitor is hard to pass up.

Overall this is a good monitor. I got two and I couldn't be more satisfied. Picture is clear, smooth, and free of dead/stuck pixels. My only gripe is the fake thin boarder. I didn't notice until I got the monitors home that where the screen meets the bezel is not where the screen ends. There is about an 1/8th inch or half centimeter boarder along the left, right, and top of the screen. Upon researching more I found that the monitor was designed that way. After about 72hrs of use I no longer notice it. I would buy this monitor again.

This is a good sized monitor. I upgraded from a 24" ASUS. This display is very fast and tearing is minimal even in benchmarks. The settings are adjusted with a joybutton on the right rear of the case. This is easy to use, better than regular buttons. My worst issue with this monitor is it has automatic input switching. I'm used to leaving my Raspberry Pi (Pi-Hole) plugged into the HDMI port. When I boot up the computer, the monitor changes to the HDMI port, not good. I had to unplug the Pi's HDMI to solve this issue.I tried to mount it on my HP monitor stand, this wasn't a very good fit. The plate on the HP is too big too fit in the recess on the back of the monitor. I was able to use the extension screws, but it looked messy and I ended up changing to the MSI ... The far edges of the screen looked dark. I sit about 21" back from this, whereas I was 18" back from the old one.Doesn't come with a DisplayPort cable, so be sure to buy one.Altogether a good monitor that I would recommend to anyone.

Have had for a little under a month and it's performing great! Sturdy built and looks sleek, the led lights on the back aren't so bright as to light up your room but bright enough to show up a bit in the dark if your monitor is close to a wall. The nvidia sync options to avoid frame tear are a little buried in the monitor's option menu and as with all monitors you must remember to go into the computer's monitor settings to enable 144hz as well as the nvidia control panel once it's enabled on the monitor. The screen is crisp but still trying to find the "perfect setting," as an upgrade from a 60hz monitor, this brought new life to all of the games I've played to date and is easy on the eyes for office apps etc.
The MSI MAG273R is fantastic! I work from home full time, and have a triple monitor set up. One of my monitors was starting to give up the ghost, so I replaced it with this one.Within the week, I had ordered two more to replace and rehome my other screens. The image quality is fantastic, the multiple inputs make this an excellent selection for someone who likes to multi-task with a gaming console, and the thin bezels are really ideal for multiple monitor users.
This is my first time using a high refresh rate monitor for gaming. It is an amazing experience to play games (especially FPS games like doom) at high refresh rates. The 1080p resolution looks fairly sharp to me (about 80ppi), but I'm moving from a ~60ppi display, so if you're used to a higher pixel density you might want to look at getting either a smaller 1080p monitor or a 1440p or 4k monitor at this size. The monitor does have lights on the back of it, but they're not noticeable unless your room is completely dark. If you plan to play games/watch content on this monitor in a dark room, I'd suggest looking towards either a VA or OLED panel as those have better contrast ratios and are better for viewing in dark areas. If you plan to play games/watch content on this monitor in a dark room, I'd suggest looking towards either a VA or OLED panel as those have better contrast ratios and are better for viewing in dark areas. However, VA panels have worse looking colors and can be a bit smeary in motion, and OLEDs are expensive and prone to burn-in. If you're looking for a good IPS monitor, this is a pretty good one. Also, the stand with this monitor is a bit large (about 12 inches from back to front) so make sure you have enough desk space, or you could order a monitor arm like I did.
TL/DR Buy it, its a price to performance bargin IMOPurchased this monitor as Christmas present for my son. His only requirement was a 144hz monitor. Being 1080p instead of 1440p concerned me as it is a 27 inch monitor. A 1080p monitor above 24 inch's starts to stretch the resolution and looks a little more like 720p. I was surprised upon setting it up that it actually looks really good. It didnt have any dead pixels and the IPS bleed is minimal. The price was less than $250 I paid for it. In my mind this makes it a good starter gaming monitor since it has high refresh, a bright panel, and a tolerable price.
Other things to notice: - If you have not used a 27" monitor before, note that they are surprisingly larger than a 24" monitor. - The stand, though very functional, does feel rather cheap as you adjust the height or angle of the monitor. - Don't expect much from the RGB lights on the back. - Stand cannot pivot 90 degrees; however, this is expected of a 27" monitor. Thoughts: - If you are looking for a monitor for serious gaming, I would not recommend an IPS panel as they are susceptible to motion blur.
I originally went to the store to buy a different monitor but ended up leaving with this one. I was looking for a mid tier 144hz monitor that had a decent display in that mid tier price range. I’ve never had an MSI product before but this thing is great. I had to do some setting tweaking on it but after that it is wonderful. It is perfect for gaming and watching YouTube/ streaming. I highly recommend it
I bought this for a friend and his new starting pc. It has what he needs right now with a good sized screen as well as future proofs him with 144hz (once he upgrades and can actually run that refresh rate). He has gotten no issues from it and the only downside is that there are no speakers, but honestly monitor speakers are not that good anyways. I would just recommend getting separate speakers if you don't want to be wearing headphones. Overall good monitor for the price and would recommend to anyone else looking for a monitor on the cheaper side.
