Muc Off Disc Brake Cleaner, 400ml

The less ‘product’ on one’s disc brakes the better. That’s way Much Off sell the disc brake covers! Isopropyl alcohol totally evaporates from y the rotors. Thought I’d try this to get rid of squeaking but had no effect.

Clean and restores your disc brakes

Removes any muck or residue from your disc braking surface for maximum performance. Can also be used as a substitute for isopropyl alcohol in most situations, so a handy thing to have around. Added conditioners in the formula also help refresh and restore your brake pads to help prolong the life of your components.

Does what it says on the can!

Whilst rebuilding bike and overhauling the brakes, before fitting new brake pads I decided to remove the calipers and rotors to clean off before refitting but decided to buy the Muc-Off brake cleaner and the difference was incredible. No noise and just like new brakes.Will use this now as part of my regular maintenance regime.

I first started using this product when I rode MTBs and after each bike clean I used to clean off the disc and occasionally take the pads out and clean them off as well. It was amazing that even after thoroughly cleaning the bike off, the disc brake cleaner always used to get even more off.I stopped riding off road a couple of years ago and now ride road only. However the cleaner is still in constant use, maybe even more so. The amount of dirt that accumulates on the rims of road bikes is unbelieveable. And in wet weather its even worse. I clean the rims after each wet ride and after every two or three dry ones. Once a week I'll also wipe the braking surface of the rims off with the cleaner. Worth spending a few quid on this product to save you hundreds on a new set of wheels.

Excellent product

I have used this product for years and it works so well. I always finish off a bike clean by using this on my rotors. Halfords were the cheapest online offer and using their click and collect option I was able to pick it up in my local store without delay. Great service from the folks at Halfords too,

Great cleaner. Spray.

Really cleans my brakes callipers and other items on my bike. Gets rid of the muck dirt and grime. Excellent been using this for years. 10/10

Nice to have, not essential

I bought this because if the promotional discount and to see what difference it made to any aspect of the disk brakes functionality. It certainly cleaned them. I did not notice any increase in braking power, not that I really need it. It's pleasant to use and gives you the satisfactory feeling that you are looking after your bike.

No more music from my brakes

I used to struggle with my bike as I was finding it tough to cleanse it for many years. Tried from Surf to Vim, but was not satisfied 🥵Got this as my friend's recommendation and oh boy! this works like a charm 🥸🥸🥸I'm enjoying my chota mota trails around my hilly hometown. 🤟🏼🤟🏼You guys are a life saviour to reach me this stuff on my remote village super fast. ✌🏼❤️

Pricey But worth it.

Slightly on the more expensive side of disk brake cleaners, however you get what you pay for. Removes all unwanted grease oil and other residue. You don't need to use loads so a bottle this size can last you a long time. Simple application, just grab an old cloth or rag, spray onto the rag and then spin the disk, simple. Great purchase would recommend to anyone looking for a disk brake cleaner.

Terrible product; avoid

Terrible product. Strongly recommend that you avoid, and instead use isopropyl alcohol.While the product cleans contaminants off the rotor, it leaves the rotor highly glazed (even after wiping off excess with a paper towel or clean cloth), leading to glazed pads and extremely poor braking performance that can take a lengthy ride to eventually burn through, prior to which you’ll have minimal brakes! Very disappointing as muc-offs pink general bike cleaner is excellent (and doesn’t cause issues for rotors/pads).
