Mugler Thierry Angel Eau De Parfum 50ml Refillable

Launched in 1992, Angel has always been a divisive fragrance. The words 'blind purchase' and 'Angel' do not belong in the same sentence! I first discovered this in the late 90's after smelling 'A Men' - the men's version of this fragrance on a work colleague. It wasn't remotely like anything I'd smelt before. The musk in here smells similar to the musk that used to appear in older fragrances from the 80's which you don't find any longer. Overall Angel is a very distinctive fragrance that is never once run of the mill or generic, even all these years later. By the same token that also makes it instantly recognizable. If you wear this, most people will know exactly what you're wearing. Silage and longevity are both good. Angel is one of my most favorite fragrances. It's definitely one of the ones I've been wearing the longest, I've been buying it for over 20 years! Angel is what started my obsession with gourmand fragrances. I love the way the praline, vanilla and red fruits mix with the chocolate, caramel, pachouli and bergamot. It's very sexy, sweet flirty. You don't need to keep reapplying throughout the day, it's a powerful scent. This is the fragrance that my family and friends gift me every year for my birthday, Christmas Mother's Day. Wow. Wow. WOW! MUGLER does not hold back with this intensely seductive, fragrance. Being THE original, gourmand fragrance, I was pleased with having smelled the original formulation of this fragrance as a child. And I made it my mission to own my very own bottle at some point, and this modern evolution of the original formula does not disappoint.The opening burst of Calabrian Bergamot, rushes into your nose with such an intensity, that it makes your head spin. It fills the air with a solar, sparkling, fire, that captures your senses. As the sparkling of bergamot settles. Noticeable most during the dry down, and this part might be overwhelming for some, but for me, it dances with the bergamot so well, that it makes for a lusciously enticing experience.After I left Ulta, and sprayed some on myself, I had comments thrown my way almost 30 minutes later.Altogether, this fragrance does not leave much to be desired. The bottle design, is downright sexy, not to mention, it’s refillable making it a big win for sustainability, and it has a pricey feel to it, the star is easy to hold, with the points of the star fitting into the palm of your hand perfectly. It makes you feel that this, is indeed, a piece of haute couture fragrance, that’s well worth the money you’re spending.

Disappointed

Been wearing this everyday since highschool. Thought I had just gotten a bad batch the last couple of purchases. Definitely changed the formula!! This is supposed to be a Patchouli base with floral nodes. I do not smell Patchouli. If the company is skimping or changed the Patchouli oil that is why it is not lasting all day. Also have not been able to get a refill at Macy's since 2020 called Ulta 6/29/2024 was told they have been out of the refill for awhile? If you rebranded or changed the formula change the name. It is definitely not original Angel. Macy's was also out of the Angle body lotion. If you want to get close to the original Angel scent, you now must wear those two products together (perfume and body lotion). Heavenly

I am a longtime lover of the OG Angel EDP. This is my signature scent since I was in highschool, and now nearing my forties it leaves a lasting impression- I have friends/boyfriends tell me that whenever they cross a stranger who is wearing Angel it immediately makes them think of me!! The scent is like NO OTHER, and truly everlasting. Every year when I break out my winter jackets- they STILL have the sweet scent of Angel lingering!! Old Fragrance

I’ve been using Angel since 1992 and it’s still one of my favorite fragrances. I normally order from Nordstrom or Dillards, but I saw that Walmart had it for $95 versus $147 and $160 $… so heck yeah :)The first thing I noticed was the color was off a little bit. It’s a usually a clear pretty light blue, but I it had a turquoise hue to it… but I thought maybe it was the lighting in the bathroom, so till my next shower.I applied some and the fragrance which was definitely different — almost like it had aged too much on a shelf somewhere; and under different lighting it has a yellowish mix to it.I’m very disappointed to say the least. I have loved this perfume so much! I have been wearing it for 10+ years and truly no other perfume compares. It is a very polarizing scent for some people, some love it and others hate it. As all perfumes, your body chemistry is extremely important. Perfumes smell so different on everyone. Angel is like heaven on my skin and works so well for me. However, the new formula is so disappointing, inconsistent, and has been for several years now. As a loyal customer, reading the reviews it is clear it is an issue and I truly hope it is remedied because I do not want to have to find a new signature. I have been on the lookout for new perfumes and even tried other Mugler products. Angel is the best, classic, and most iconic fragrance! Gaaaah it’s really difficult to write this review. I absolutely ADORE Angel. The scent is so heavenly, sweet, gourmand, and classy. However, the new formulation is really disappointing. Nothing compares to the most amazing, beautiful, and unique scent (which still seems the same), but you only get to enjoy it for about 10-20 minutes.We, your loyal customers BEG you to please stop making excuses for why you “had” to reformulate this magic potion. This is the ONLY website that I have to call them on my every single purchase. Very disturbing and very disappointing. I am an iconic member, one of their representative after talking to me for so long telling me that we gonna SOLVE your issue and gave me 20% discount, since they said you never had 20% discount as our iconic member. They arranged the items in the cart and said we sent you the 20% discount code so you can use it on your perfumes and refills. I asked SEVERAL times that I can get the refills too she said yes I already arranged it so you just need to put the code and buy it whenever you're ready. After sooo long of their conversation I used that code and bought two perfumes and a refill.
