So I am a fountain pen geek keeping as many as 20 pens inked and working at any given time. I find the Muji pens to be outstanding. Crisp fine points, not too thin, not too fat. The start straight away from an uncapped position without the usual dry nib. The aluminum barrels are a good weight and very durable. I find these pens just great all-around workhorses. At the price point if you do happen to drop one on it's nib or lose one out of your pocket it isn't the end of the world.

I’ve purchased this now for myself and as a gift because it is just the best. So comfortable for medium-small and larger hands. It writes beautifully. Everyone who sees this pen wants one. Love it <3

This is my "go to" pen and I highly recommend it to new or seasoned fountain pen users. The craftmanship is superb and posting is satisfying. I like the feel of it's slimness. I re-fill the ink cartridge with a syringe. I did drop it and needs a new tip but a new one is cheap enough...

Perfect for artists and casual journalists alike - have not found a better or more reasonably priced fountain pen out there. Love the convenience of being able to hold an extra cartridge inside of the body of the pen so I'm never in a place of running out of ink. Prefer it to all of the fancy fountain pens I own - definitely an everyday carry. Make sure to take out all ink cartridges out of ink and wash thoroughly before taking on an airplane, though. I've learned the hard way.
This Muji fountain pen is a great everyday carry (EDC) pen as it's a great price for a quality pen that does everything a pen should do and look great while doing it. The knurled grip provides the right amount of grip without being aggressive. The snap function of the cap is secure and satisfying. The caps posts as well, but I do not post my pens so Its not that big of a feature for me personally, but it's nice to have a nice aesthetic when it is desired. The nib is a western fine line, which is good for work or play. The included ink dries quickly and is a standard deep black, but it accepts international standard cartridges so one has a large selection of inks to choose from. Cleaning is easy, just remove the cartridge then run the nib under water until the water ... MoreThis Muji fountain pen is a great everyday carry (EDC) pen as it's a great price for a quality pen that does everything a pen should do and look great while doing it. Awesome pen, writes well. While it has some flaws, nothing of much concern, would've given it 5 stars in a heartbeat if it came with a converter. Pros: - All matte aluminium construction - s/steel nib writes like a fine/extra fine, pretty smoothly too all things considered. - Has a nice weight, and posts unobtrusively. - Works well as a dip pen, has some flex to the nib (wouldn't stress it too much though). Cons: - Only comes with a single cartridge - No converter (and good luck finding one that fits). I'm refilling it with an injection syringe. - The "lips" on the cap are fragile and if dinged you WILL NOT be able to post or close the pen. - The matte finish and textured grip seems to attract grime.
This pen is an incredible value! I’m in graduate school and decided that I needed to take cleaner notes. This pen is BRILLIANT. It’s excellent for taking notes quickly, efficiently, and cleanly. It’s way better than I expected.
This is a pretty great pen overall! While you can't choose the nib size, it is a pretty good staple pen with a decent heft and writes well. The BEST part for me is that I've bought some spare nibs and can swap out the standard one as dissembling is very easy to do! I swapped out my first Muji fp with a steel naginata nib and it's just ::chef's kiss::.
This is a pretty nice pen for the price. there are small things I wish they would change but over all I would recommend it at this price point. I wish the knurled section of the grip would end closer to the nib… the grip steps down to a narrower diameter close to the nib that you can’t hold comfortably. I have to choke back on the grip farther than I would like to hold the pen comfortably. I wish the knurled grip would extend closer to the nib for close writers like myself. Also Muji should make these in different nib sizes. They are kinda missing out only having fine nibs. If the grip came closer to the nib and they made these in different nib sizes I would have given it a 5star. Good pen for the price though
Wonderful, simple, well-designed fountain pen that can go anywhere. Good value. Nice, fine point; pleasant grip, cap posts beautifully. Modern, clean look for a traditional tool. Bought one for myself and one for each of my 'pen friends.'
