Munchkin Toss - Disposable Diaper Pail (5 Pack)

(304 reviews)

Most parents know that diaper changes need to happen, well, anywhere and everywhere. What's not always around is a diaper pail - that's where Toss comes in. The Toss Disposable Diaper Pail from Munchkin is compact enough to be kept in the car, bathroom, or nursery as a quick, convenient and odorless solution for dirty diaper disposal. Simply expand the pail, drop the dirty diaper in, replace the seal, then toss when it's full. Toss can hold up to 30 newborn diapers. Compact fold-flat design is perfect for travel and can stash easily in a diaper bag, purse or suit case. An integrated loop makes it easy to hook onto walls or doors - perfect for small spaces and keeping it out of reach from pets and small children. Makes a great (and practical) baby registry item or shower gift for new parents.

While I do not have any children, I do help take care of my grandmother with incontinence. It wasn’t until recently that I decided to look into diaper pail options because I was getting tired of the several trips per day to the apartment complex dumpster. I noticed had a lot of really great reviews by parents for babies. At first I was concerned that an adult incontinence brief would not fit inside the opening but I was wrong! I didn’t realize at first that this model requires you to push the brief down inside the hole with your hand and when you close the lid the bag twists off to reduce any smell. Don’t come at me for being wasteful. I’m only sharing the solution that has worked for my family. Another bonus is the lid comes with a spot to put a to help with any smell. I like to use the which is the most affordable way for us. An additional bonus: the bags are 7-layer so you can’t smell through them and you can customize how full the bag gets. Whenever you’re ready to throw them away you simply cut the bag and tie a new knot at the bottom. It’s the least wasteful way to go because you can feel good about emptying it even if it’s not a “full” garbage bag full. We typically change the bag every 1-2 days because I refuse to let it smell up the bathroom (and it hasn’t!) Another PRO: my 77 yr old grandmother with dementia can use the pail herself and empty it alone.

I wish I knew about this sooner. Honestly, we use to do a lot of weekends away (before covid) and I always missed a diaper pail when staying at a hotel. Diapers get stinky when just in the regular garbage and I have twins, so lots of diapers. I recieved this product for my honest opinion and feedback and I like it! Simply put, IT WORKS! I opened one up, pulled it to an up right position, and from the first diaper it held its shape and continued to stand tall. the hole where you put the diaper is a little tight so you definitely have to push it in. That's OK with me because that means little hands aren't getting anything out of it, or putting things in they shouldn't. The seal reminds me of a resealable food package with the sticky edge only seals better. I think ... MoreI wish I knew about this sooner. I'll start with the good. It definitely contains the smell as long as the seal is completely closed, so that's a win. It's also nice to just be able to toss the whole thing once it's full; minimal handling of the contents which is appreciated. Now the not so good. It doesn't stand on it's own very well as shown in the photo-it's really just a thick plastic bag so it topples easily. Not the nicest thing to look at crumpled in the corner. Also, you need two hands to get a diaper in there, which is kind of a pain.I would say the most ideal use for this product would be travel. I would definitely purchase to use for an extended hotel stay or camping or something like that. For every day use though, we'll stick with a sturdier diaper pail.

Light and easy!

Its bery conveniet to use this one and easily store and carry in your car since its look like a disc. Its made of light but quality material and vey helpful when traveling. There are places like when you go fishing or camping or maybe by simply traveling you need a handy trashcan specially for poopy diapers, we do know its very smeely and hard to contain. And so muchkin gave me opportunity to try this product and it works really good! Everytine you will use its you can easily close it and seal the smell of a diaper. Its easy to assemble in one full strecth it stands and not all that but compared to others this can contain more diapers than other brand! No need to refill each time since its disposable too!

Meh product, prefer doggy bags

I received this product in exchange for my honest feedback. We waited to use this disposable pail until we went out of town for 3 days. The plan was to use this pail so that we didn't leave stinky diapers in our family's trash cans. It was very easy to set up, I just pulled the two ends apart until the soft sides of the pail were straight and smooth. It was able to stand on its own while it was empty, but there is a little loop on one side if you need to hook it to something. The top has a resealable flap that's easy to open and close and keeps all smells locked inside when its sealed.I will not use this again for a multi-day trip. The smells are trapped fine when the top is sealed, but as soon as you open it up to put a diaper inside, the whole room fills with the smell of dirty diaper. This, of course, this is amplified after a few days. We use size 5 diapers and I had to use two hands to shove the diaper inside - one hand to hold the pail steady and the other to squeeze and maneuver the diaper inside. The pails came in a 3-pack and I have yet to use the other two since our trip. If I do use them again, it will only be for day trips or going to the park or something where I'm only going to need a receptacle for 2 or 3 diapers. Once I use these, I will not be purchasing any more - Ill just wrap diapers individually in doggy bags if I'm that worried about putting them in someones trash.

What it is: a set of disposable diaper pails that you can fill up and throw out. They come folded flat in the box and have a big "sticker" that goes around the edge of the lid to help contain the smell.Good news: it's simple, it's easily disposable, and it does a decent job of holding in smell. It was really convenient on a recent RV camping trip we took with family. We couldn't leave diapers outside without attracting wildlife, but also didn't want a super smelly trash all week, so this disposable first pail was perfect. We just used it like normal and tossed it in the dumpster on our way home. It'd be good for longer stays with relatives or in hotels too.Bad news:Like all diaper pails, as it fills up, you'll get a rising, nasty cloud of stink when you open it. I think it helped a bit that I didn't fully inflate the pail before filling it, so less of the stinky air got pushed out each time. The pail kind of stands up on its own, but not well enough to be very sturdy. Hanging it would be much easier; however, the little loop on the back of the lid is not very effective. It's too small and rigid to fit almost anywhere I tried to hang it. You might be able to put a smaller carabineer through the little loop and hang it that way.I don't like that it requires 2 hands to put a diaper into it, since you have to pull up the sticky top. I usually like to throw out or at least wrap up the dirty diaper before leaving the changing table so the baby can't grab at it, but that means I have one hand on the baby and one for the diaper. It's not a deal breaker, but it's irritating.Overall: it's not something I'd get all the time, and the design isn't perfect, but for camping or extended stays away from home, these pails are inexpensive, super convenient and easy. It's one less thing to worry about on vacation, which is a win in my book.Note: I received a free or discounted product so I could write an informed review. All opinions are 100% my own, and I base them on how I'd feel if I'd paid full price.

Okay to use but drawbacks
4 August 2019

At first, I hated this. I had no idea how to hang this and therefore, how would I consistently use it? But the small "hook" slipped onto a leg of the little changing table that snaps into the Pack'n'Play. It does hold a decent amount of diapers, and while sealed, it does keep the odors contained. But boy when you open it and especially when you shove a diaper in there, yikes! You get a big stink cloud popping out of there. It is convenient to just toss out when full, but now that baby is in his own crib, I'm not sure how to hang it. You can easily see how full it is, and it will stand on its own when there are diapers in it. They collapse and take up hardly any space when not in use. We have never used any diaper pails before. I doubt we will purchase more.

Perfect for play pens and travel
25 July 2019

I received this as a promotion. And I’m so glad I did. I love these disposable diaper pails! They are great for traveling. I spent a week at a cottage with family and already had so much to pack. Thanks to these I didn’t need to pack a diaper pail but could still have the benefits of containing the smell of dirty diapers. Each container holds 30 diapers so it lasted 4 -5 days - and there was no smell.I also loved having this to hang from the playpen change table. It’s great for me as I keep my diaper pail upstairs in my nursery. It’s easier than having to look for a small plastic bag to double wrap each time. And it’s nice that it has a loop to attach it. So it’s there when you need it and is easy to access. In my pic, you can see I used an orange string to attach it.

Stinky traveler solution

At first I was hesitant about this product because it is a “disposable†diaper pale additionally, the top/ lid is very thin and, relies on a thin layer of adhesive to seal and reseal after each diaper change. However with the traveling we do to visit family it seemed like a great idea and I haven’t seen other products like this besides bagging diapers Individually.I tested the product at home before taking it on a family camping trip to be sure it worked. I used the disposable diaper pale in our living room for a week. It is awesome! It is about 3/4 full after a week of (almost solely) using it, I am impressed it has been sitting right in the middle of our home where we spend most of our time and we cannot smell the diapers marinating inside. It is about 3/4 full after a week of (almost solely) using it, I am impressed it has been sitting right in the middle of our home where we spend most of our time and we cannot smell the diapers marinating inside. I was skeptical about having poopy diapers in it as well since it will be inside of a camper with us/ or a small room but while the diapers inside smell like something died, we cannot smell anything when it is sealed. Obviously the odor lingers for a little while after resealing it, but it does keep the stink inside effectively.I did receive this product to test in return for my honest feedback. However this is definitely something I would buy. I was careful with the lid to seal it well each time and not crease it because it seemed flimsy, but the diaper pail worked very well camping for a long weekend and staying with family.I would have loved this when my little was a newborn since she slept in our room for some time, and moving the diaper pail around or carrying diapers around the house aren’t great solutions. We used a small trash can and the dog got into the diapers 😳 this would have prevented that. It’s not a long term solution (disposable) but it works well.

The munchkin diaper pail is so good to have around, not only for use in the car for the times that you might find yourself having to change your baby while out, but also to keep in the nursery next to babies crib in case you don't have a trash can in the room. The only thing I wasn't to fond of was the fact that it doesn't even begin to free stand until you actually start putting diapers in it, and also the fact that I can't see myself buying these only to be thrown away once full. I would love to have these in a refillable or reusable option. But I can say it's saved a lot of room in my kitchen trash can and best of all keeps all the odors of dirty diapers inside the pail.
