I had previously bought this product 20 years ago and it was fantastic. Obviously as it had lasted me 20 years. I bought what I thought was the same product and I'm disappointed in the quality of the knives. The weight of each knife and the quality of the steel is not the same. don't thik this product would last as long. Although still a good product I would not buy it again and would perhaps upgrade to a different knife set. The kitchen scissors in this set are still excellent.

Fantastic knives!! - we've had ours for 14 years. They have gone through constant daily use (We are a large family and cook a lot) and they still perform like new .. excellent quality and durability not to mention value for money. Can tackle large, hard, and thick-skinned vegetables like pumpkin as well as finer slicing like smoked prosciutto.I purchased this identical second set recently as a gift. Purchased through Peter's of Kensington who are extremely professional. Highly recommend both knives and seller!!

I had never heard of Mundial, and while searching and reviewing various chef's knives, they never even appeared on my radar. However, when I finally got around to asking the advice of a qualified chef I know, he said his Mundial Chef's knife was his "go to" knife at work and at home. Based on this recommendation I investigated further, found this deal, and made the purchase. Absolutely no regrets: Wicked sharp, well balanced, and a delight to use. Recommended.
This is my second set of these knives. My first set was bought 15 year ago. And probably would have lasted another decade if it wasn’t for the fact that my husband frequently appropriated them for tools.I cannot recommend them enough.
Mundial are not the absolute Rolls Royce of knives. But for an enthusiastic amateur, they are all one could need, and at a fraction of the cost. Exceptional value: both my daughters have sets, also.
These knives deliver superb quality without the stratospheric prices of the Japanese or German exotics. I first purchased a set about 18 years ago, and these remain in pride of place in our kitchen. Since then I have, over time, purchased another 3 sets as gifts to family members and have never been tempted to change brands.
Good value all rounder knife set with a lifetime guarantee. The knives are well weighted. The chef's knife is fairly hefty, so I use this mainly for hard vegetables like pumpkin and crushing garlic. For most chopping tasks I prefer a lighter chef's knife but everyone is different.
Great set of knives. Good balance for me (thats an individual thing though). The block kind of lets it down. Feels cheap and is a bit generic. As in it doesn't seem like its made for this set. Even so thats a small point. The knives themselves a good quality and feel great. At this price you cant do better
We bought a set of Mundial knives in the 1990’s and although still going strong did look a little worn in our new kitchen. I was very happy to find the same set at Kitchen Warehouse especially at such a great price. If you sharpen with a quality oilstone and regularly magnetise with your steel I am sure they will provide great service for many years.
