MusclePharm Essentials BCAA - 30 Servings Blue Raspberry

Now there's a company that outright doesn't give a sh!t about the consumer. I've always stayed away because MusclePharm always came off as a supplement brand for the "bros" and the more educated "bro-scientists." I usually get another brand of unflavored BCAAs (and since I'm not sponsored I won't shamelessly plug them here either, but feel free to look at my other reviews and you'll see the brand I mean) and it truly is unflavored. This jar of toxic waste, on the other hand, is straight garbage. This, my friends, is powdered pig vomit. I mix BCAA's into my morning carb-loading shakes (oatmeal, kiwi, fresh squeezed grapefruit juice & strawberries) and figured, "hell, even if it's a little bitter, that's ok." Allow me to assure you - it is anything but ok. You can taste this bitter garbage through all those ingredients and there's no mistaking it. Stay away. I give this a 1 because anybody can get powdered amino acids from a chemical manufacturer. That can't be too hard - everyone apparently does it. But for the love of god, if you market it as unflavored it better not taste like vomit. Whatever this manufacturer makes, you can find a better version of it - stay away from this trash.

For delayed onset muscle soreness 5/5

Saw some research that showed a reduction in delayed onset muscle soreness while using Branched Chain Amino Acids and decided to give it a shot. I usually get a lot of pain after training legs that last as long as 96 hours. The pain is an inconvenience as it hurts to sit down and perform daily tasks. It also interferes with the next day's workout as it's harder to maintain proper form in pain. Having tried the BCAA's it seems that it does reduce the pain. I can train about 36 hours after a leg day without any significant hindrance. This particular formula comes in a fruit punch flavor that is fairly close to fruit punch with a cherry dominant flavor. I find it a bit too sweet but not overpoweringly so. Did not experience any effects on digestion. A measuring scoop included.

Good

I love the flavour. The powder also mixes very well and dissolves like a dream. If you are like me and dislike the taste of water but love doing sports, I found that dissolving the recommended serving size in a 2L water still provides sufficient flavour to the water. It is sweet, but nothing that I cannot grow accustomed to. It is great if you workout or if you are on a diet. I usually take it before and during my workout sessions. Recommend.

Great Flavor

I'm a flavor junkie. I tend to always have some sort of "mix in" with my water bottle I carry around all day. There's hundreds of BCAA drinks out there and this one is one I keep coming back to. It's affordable, has the nutrition composition I'm after and tastes pretty solid. Might sound strange, but we've even mixed it with sprite or other sparkling waters and it turns it into a tasty soda like drink. Overall, I've bought this product a few times and I'm sure I'll be back for more.

Muscle recovery!!!

I love the taste of this stuff, I have to stop myself from adding it to every glass of water I drink! I work out 6 days a week and have noticed a HUGE difference in my ability to recover after a tough workout. I will be buying this stuff again for sure!I was not too certain about the role another BCAA would play on my workout routine. But after trying out other brands, Muscle Pharm was the only one I could validate the before and after effect. My performance improves when I take a scoop prior to my work out and 1 (or half) AFTER my workout. In fact I stopped taking it for about a couple of weeks and my joint/ muscle pain returned. Ordered the product again and the pain went away. . .so, as long as they keep pricing the same (or lower) I will continue ordering. My go-to

I really love this BCAA mix. The flavor is nice and it really changes how your work out goes. It gives you energy and relieves muscle pain the next day. Just mix a spoonful into a bottle of water and shake. Drink before and during work out. Best for cardio and any gym workout that makes you break a sweat. I dont think this would be particularly useful for people doing only yoga or some mat exercises.
