There is only myself and hubby so this size jar is perfect for my recipes along with a tin of mutti finely chopped tomato .It does a lasagne that lasts two days . Rich tomato flavour ....yes it?s slightly dearer but no waste and you get what you pay for
Great tasting Passata BUT My recipe called for 400g of Passata so I bought this as the perfect size. Unfortunately the jar only contains 350g! I had to add in some chopped tinned tomatoes to make up the difference. Weight needs amending on labelling.
Sweet and full of flavour. You don’t need to add much to this product to make a delicious sauce for pasta. Makes good chilli and bolognese too. Definite regular in my shop.
I usually buy the Mutti passata made with Roma tomatoes and it is way better than this one. ASDA do not carry Mutti roma tomato passata so I took a chance on this one. It was too acidic.
It might just be a bad batch as we usually like this brand for other products, but it was so very salty. We added no salt to the dish but thats all we could taste :(
I know everyone raves about Mutti's tinned tomatoes... however, I can take them or leave them. But this passata is the best you can buy by a mile. V tasty.
