This is the best product Nerf has ever released at the time of writing this.Everything else pales in comparison before it. The Hyper Mach-100? Slow and inaccurate in comparison. The Rival Nemesis? Slow and clunky. The Elite Infinus? Underwhelming. The Elite 2.0 Moto Blitz? Weak.It makes everything else look inferior by simply existing. It's a beautiful piece of engineering.This thing is can just spray balls out extremely quickly. Think of it as the Nerf equivalent to a minigun, or a GAU-8 Avenger, if you want to think of something on a larger scale.That's the kind of fire rate we're dealing with here, when compared to other automatic and semi-automatic Nerf products.Buy one of these right now if the price is good. This blaster is an absolute beast. It never jams %26 shoots accurately at 8 rounds a second. Also, the out of darts hopper extension is an absolute MUST get for this blaster. 50 rounds goes very quickly %26 reloading this blaster is sort of a hassle. Purchasing the extended hopper will up your capacity to almost TWO HUNDRED rounds! Every time I let someone try this blaster they end up getting one of their own. As far as small children, my 7 year old %26 I have nerf wars with rival blasters (the Perseus %26 nemesis) and he takes the hits just fine. However every kid is different, test the waters with regular darts first then try the rival stuff. Just make sure they’re wearing safety glasses every battle %26 that they’re strong enough to wield a larger blaster.

I wish Nerf would pick up more from the Rival series, but this is one of the best motorized blaster out there! It comes with its owns rechargable battery and it is a powerhouse of its own without having to be mod. It doesn't shoot too hard, but hard enough for a good Nerf War! very lightweight that it gives you a lot of mobility when maneuevering pass walls and corners. The only CON about this item is that, 50 Foam balls, is not enough, but you can always find the extension hopper elsewhere.

I just received my order of two of these for me and my 7 year old son. Seriously, this is the best blaster we’ve tried yet, and he has an entire wall now relegated to display-only because nothing matches the speed, power, and accuracy of the Perses.An absolute no-brainier at $35, especially when the same blaster costs $20/visit to rent at the local Foam Warriorz combat areas.Plain brown box? The Nerf Rival Perses MXIX 5000 comes with 50 Nerf Rival high impact foam rounds, a 9.6 volt NiMh rechargeable battery, and a charger. Straight out of the box, the battery charged to full charge in about 30 minutes. The battery seems to last a long time while using it. You will run out of ammo over-and-over again before the battery runs out of a charge. The battery goes in and out of the blaster very smooth. The battery has a two step release to prevent accidental battery release during a battle. The gun also has a safety switch on both the left-hand and right-hand side of the gun. There are two points of attachment for a sling if you want to attach one, but it does not come with a sling. It also has a place to add tactical attachments such as a flashlight or laser, but attachments are not included. If a round becomes jammed, there are two ways to clear them. On top of the gun, near the end, is a jam door that can be opened to clear a jam. Also, the Rival rounds hopper can be released to access a jam. This is a very well thought-out gun and the best performance/designed Rival blaster.
This is one of the best Rival Nerf blasters you can buy. However, this listing shows the original Nerf box with full graphic on the outside. This is the way I received my blue one over the summer. However, this one is a different story. You get a plain unmarked cardboard box with the blaster and accessories taped up in some random clear plastic bags. This is not good especially if you’re giving this away as a gift for the holidays. Be aware of this issue.

Really happy with this purchase! I have been researching what the best blasters are and the Rival Perses seems to be one of the best that many people recommend. I was thrilled to be able to find it on clearance. I wish the blue was on sale, but I am still very happy with the red. It came packaged in a plain brown box, not in a nerf box, but still giftable. I purchased this for my son for Christmas and am thinking of buying another one because I like it so much. I was a little shocked at how much it weighed. A bit hefty!

Unloading the clip completely happens almost instantly - like 5 seconds. It's ridiculously fun and very powerful. The clip (it's probably not called a clip) is removable,which means keeping extra clips full and on deck is beyond convenient, it's necessary because it empties so quickly.
