There are alternatives though which I'm exploring at the moment such as refilling the pods with my own ground coffee, I will update my review when I have had time to experiment with it. Where do i even start?! i used to be a Starbucks girly, I'd get all my coffees from there. I even bought ground coffee and used to brew it at home. But Nespresso hits differently! The espresso this machine makes is unbelievable and unbeatable. It's smooth and silky. I also have the frother and I love it! My (nondairy) milk is always perfect, depending on the drink recipe I'm making.

I love this machine and it makes wonderful coffee! From espresso to lattes, cold to hot, and the variety of Nespresso pods you can get are endless. Plus, if you live in Europe the grocery stores have the pods for half the price! The frothier is a nice bonus because it makes cafe lattes, but at home! Definitely a great investment because the machine makes the espresso so rich, flavorful , and with creama that you can’t get from any other one single-serve coffee machine.

I bought my first machine in 2009, and have used it and used it and used it. Finally,after this much time, it stopped working correctly. That's when I decided that we HAD to get a replacement. We loved our previous CitiZ&Milk, so got another one. We already love it! They have improved a few things, and we're very happy with our replacement! Thanks!
I’ve had several Nespresso original capsule machines. This one is by far the best. It makes an exceptional cup of espresso (I use Peets Ristretto capsules) and the frother is well worth the money. The machine not as noisy as my others have been, but isn’t quiet, by any means. That’s the only con I’ve found. It’s a simple machine for a simply perfect cappuccino. Absolutely worth it, since I am clueless on the use of regular espresso machines. Clean up is very easy. This Nespresso CitiZ machine is amazing. I absolutely love it. I've had it for about 4 months now and use it DAILY. I love the convenience of having quick and high quality espresso every morning. Other espresso machines cook the espresso differently and often causes heart burn for me. This machine does not cause me any heart burn! I love how quickly it heats up and brews a shot if espresso. I also love the built in milk frother. I only need 1 power cord for each device and can heat and frother milk while my espresso brews. It's brilliant! I am so happy with my purchase that I convinced my BFF to buy one also! I highly recommend the Nespresso CitiZ machine!

The coffee is delicious, we've tried Nespresso as well as Starbucks pods and so far prefer the former, even though we got this to replace our Starbucks lattes. I use half almond and half soy milk to make my lattes, I press the lungo size with an expresso pod (even though they don't recommend this we find it works great and it's not watery at all). I'm super happy with the Citiz machine, the only complaint is that I'd prefer a larger portion over all but then I would feel guilty for having a second cup later in the day, so for now it's a perfect size (200ml total with milk and lungo) and I'm very happy with my purchase. Using the espresso button makes a tiny amount of coffee. Using the lungo button adds more water, but the product is then very limp. It would be possible to do two espresso cycles with two capsules, and then water it down just a little. But that would be a very expensive cup of coffee!I've been experimenting with cheaper third party capsules to save money and happily I've found an excellent product: Jeds, at Countdown, is only at 60 cents a cup. We prefer it to any of the 'genuine' Nespresso capsules we've tried and it saves 30 cents a cup!
