I bought this as the top rated pod machine on Which. It makes a great espresso and the steam wand works and is easy to clean. However, if you've had an aeroccino before, perhaps see it in action first as it doesn't produce anywhere near as much froth for coffee - I feel cappuccino level is only a small amount more than a regular latte. The other setting of flat white obviously creates very little - not really enough for a latte. You also have to use more milk than for one person to reach the minimum level. It seems good quality and is producing good coffee but it is a different drink to that produced with the aeroccino.

This little machine is working well so far and heats and froths the milk to the level you set. The result is really hot coffee and the quality and taste depends on the pods you use. Large water tank is useful. All working well so far after the first month. Minor criticisms: The heat and froth LED indicator lights are small but so bright that it is difficult to see which level is selected i.e. it's difficult to make out how many filaments are lit up without cycling through each time you change the setting. I also put a small red dot on the "small cup" drawer as it is not easy to see if the kitchen light is poor. It is press to open, but is the same colour as the capsule bin and almost integral with it. Overall I am very pleased with it and use it several times a day.

In many ways this is a good machine. Coffee hot, good crema and length selection. But it does seem to develop a common fault with the steamer which cuts off early and needs several presses of the clean cycle to make it work. It is livable with if you don't use it often. If you are a latte fan, find an alternative solution. If you just want espresso there are much cheaper and more compact options. It would be good if Sage fixed this, as the machine fills a niche for those of us who want nespresso and a steam wand.
We bought this machine and were initially impressed with the coffee and the speed at which it could be made, but quickly came to realise it was going to be an on going battle to keep the milk steamer wand working. Having had to have the machine taken away twice to be fixed due to repeated issues with the steamer stopping working (despite daily cleaning just to get it to work, and regular de-scaling of the whole machine), we're now regretting our decision to buy a machine that does both these elements combined. Had it not cost so much to buy it'd already be in the bin. It says it all when the courier collecting the machine to take it for repair said they see people having issues with this machine all day long! It's a great machine when it's working, it's just a shame ... Pros: Very simple to use. Really like the milk frother - rather than having a milk container fixed into the machine the jug is independent so can be used to make hot chocolate too.Cons: It's a bit noisy compared to other machines
I have had this machine for almost 6 months, so I have given it a good chance and thought it was time for a review..What I like about it:It heats up really quicklyThere are simple options for milk preparationThe milk wand is relatively easy to clean (compared to a Nespresso Aeroccino frother)What I don't like about it:Even on the lowest heat setting, the milk is too hotThe recommended smallest quantity of milk to froth in the supplied jug is still more milk than you'd want in a proper small cappuccino cupThere's always water in the capsule bin which means I have to remove my biodegradable capsules immediately after every use, or they begin to go soggySo, its OK, but its not as great as I hoped it would be for the price.
