A good cup of coffee

Bought one as a gift and one for myself. Have not had a chance to use mine more than a few times. So far a good cup of coffee with the capsules which came with machine. Easy to fill. Doesnt take up too much space and have ordered stainless steel refillable capsules as these are more economical. Gift recipient very enthusiastic about his and has used it every day.

PROS1. There are a few dud flavours but overall it tasted so much better than some other capsule brands and even some cafes (and you can can afford to experiment, as its only a fraction of the cost of takeaway coffee).2. About 30 flavoursto choose from whereas Aldi only had about half that and some of those were seasonal items only).3. The older machines (like this model) have third party capsules that will to fit your machine (this may void your warrenty though, but if your warrenty is up anyway its about 40c-50c a pod as opposed to 70c/80c/$1 for the official ones. If you buy a newer machines you have no way of avoiding price increases of pods).4. The adjustable stand (for a smaller coffee cup to sit on) and the internal plastic pod waste bin is cheap and flimsy, it will open up an you and you will get dirty old coffee water on you when you change it the first few times (perhaps the newer chrome version of this model corrects this flaw).

Had an ealier Dulce Gusto but the water reservoir started to leak. Bought this model as a replacement. Modern machines aren't designed for mugs. Did buy a different model which we had to take back as we couldn't even get the cup to fit under the filter. Took that back to Aldi and bought this one from The Good Guys. It makes a nice cup, mug will fit but if you want a strong mug of coffee you may need 2 pods

Good machine at good price
15 July 2022

This machine works very well however I have found that the strength of the coffee in the capsules is much weaker than my previous machine (which was a Lavazza machine). I suggest trying some of the capsules before you buy to make sure you are getting the intensity you want. I am not a strong coffee drinker but I am testing intensity15 capsules and it still isn't enough for me. Otherwise no problems at all with the machine.

Great machine for the caravan
2 April 2023

After much research and shopping around, we settled on the Citiz for our caravan. We didn’t want/need the milk frothier so found this machine without. Its compact size means it is perfect for the van while not taking up much bench space. Although small in size, it certainly punches above its weight in delivering beautiful coffee - overall, very happy.

Great value Awesome performance.
24 February 2023

Pod coffee machines have become increasingly popular in recent years, and for good reason. These machines offer a convenient way to make delicious espresso-based coffee without the hassle of grinding beans or cleaning up after yourself. The pods themselves come in a variety of brands, flavors, and strengths, so you can easily find one that suits your tastes. Additionally, pod coffee makers are incredibly easy to use simply insert the pod into the machine and press start! One particular brand of pod coffee maker stands out above all others Citiz Nespresso Original Coffee Machine by De'Longhi. Great value for money. Of cause, the sky is the limit for pod machines if you feel the Citiz just doesn't cost enough.

Underwhelmed by the DeLonghi Citiz
14 September 2021

We purchased the DeLonghi Citiz to replace a Breville Inissia that finally died after 7 years. The only reason we went with the Citiz is because we could only buy a new Inissia bundled with a milk frother which we already have and don't use and we wanted to stick with a 'Classic' as we still had a bunch of pods. The first Citiz was a lemon, it produced lukewarm, insipid coffee. We went through the troubleshooting with Nespresso support and concluded it was a dud machine. I must say the Good Guys were fantastic and replaced the unit in as as hassle free manner as possible under COVID lockdown. The replacement Citiz definitely performed better than the first machine, however we still think our original Inissia made a richer flavoured coffee.

Very Happy
6 June 2022

Had previously bought same machine but with milk frother attached. We still use this machine but have bought another for different location. Purchased second machine without the frother as werent using it on our original machine - no problem with it, just a personal preference. Very happy with both machines. Original machine was bought over 18 months ago.

We love it!
6 January 2021

We purchased this in December 2020 to replace our wonderful Nespresso Latissimo Pro machine that wed had for 10 years (the pump stopped working). We really weighed up getting another of the same model but being days before Christmas, the price wasnt affordable. So we started to really research the cheaper price point Nespresso machines, and even other brands. We have a Choice membership, so it was a huge eye opener and also helped us to make a good decision. We settled on this one. In store I was almost tempted to upgrade to the Latissimo Pro that we had known and loved, but I stuck to our plan and went with the Citiz model. What a brilliant purchase this one has been! In store I was almost tempted to upgrade to the Latissimo Pro that we had known and loved, but I stuck to our plan and went with the Citiz model. What a brilliant purchase this one has been! Its as efficient as the Latissimo Pro, makes coffees just as good and its so compact we now have it setup in a different spot on our kitchen counter, freeing up space that can now be better used from where the Latissimo Pro had to be setup. We are rapt with our new Citiz, making around 6 coffees per day between us both given we work from home. At the time of purchase, it was $199 but that also included a $40 redemption code for pods from Nespresso. Weve already redeemed them, with that process pretty seamless for such a good deal. With the hundreds we saved by not replacing it with the Latissimo Pro, we actually splurged and bought a Breville Milk Warmer also from The Good Guys. Best ever combination!!!!! We absolutely love this awesome Nespresso machine. For the price point it doesnt even look or feel cheap and nasty either. Its been built very well. The water resorvoir at the back of it pulls out effortlessly and we fill it with filtered water, pop it back on and within a minute we are enjoying a lovely cup of coffee. Highly recommend this awesome little machine if youre wanting one minus all the bells and whistles. If you just want to press one button and have a lovely coffee presented, this is definitely the pick.

Would be lost without it

Purchased as a replacement for a citiz and milk.Husband and I both love the coffee this little gem produces. I was worried, coming from an automatic bean machine, that this would not live up to the hype. But it does.
