I bought this model in January 2024. Previously had a Lattissima Touch which lasted six years and was very reliable making a great cuppa. The Gran Lattissima proved to be a let down. After making one coffee with frothy milk the second just never got off the ground producing only a watery steamy mix (like it was trying to do a clean). Then the panel buttons would start flashing in sequence which required a restart by pulling out the plug from the socket - sometimes worked, sometimes didn’t. Also tried going back to default settings. Still did same thing after making one cup.Returned to retailer who were happy to give me a Citiz+Milk model and a refund on the balance.

The white Gran Latissima compliments well in my kitchen however it’s disappointing on a few things:1) the machine requires descaling nearly every 2 months, I have 2 coffees a day.2) descaling issues with this does not blink on flat white as stated on the instruction booklet for Step 9. The machine will only highlight on caffe latte. I’ve already called Customer Service and had my machine looked at but they cannot fix it so had to get a replacement but still happens on the new machine.3) coffee is not hot enough for my liking. Why do I have to follow the machines desired temperature and not mine? Ridiculous!4) Good luck trying to get parts for it. Pros: From turning it on it is ready in under 30 seconds. The capsules are easily inserted and the milk frother is easy to use, clean and store in the fridge. Being able to press a button for a latte or other milk based beverage is fantastic. The machine simply looks good too, it is clean and appears “high end” when compared to other similar machines. Although white is unpopular, any dust gathered appears less visible and it looks brighter in the corner of a room.Cons: Cleaning can be a little bothersome, the drip trays must be cleaned after every use from my experience or they will begin to smell foul. I bought this machine 6 months ago and have only used it a handful of times. Wasted many coffee capsules and lots of milk. Does not heat the milk hot, always lukewarm. Have gone back into store making a complaint 3x and have requested to be shown how to use the machine and I was not shown as the assistant was not sure how to use the machine. I had requested a refund and was informed it was not possible as it had been used. Mind you this was not even a week after purchase. It now sits on my bench out of use. Don’t waste your money on this machine!
We had the older Latissima model for 8 years and loved it. It worked perfectly, was easy to program, and made excellent cappuccinos. We thought we were upgrading with the newer model but it’s definitely not as good! It randomly spits out water before starting to froth the milk and does not make enough foam for a cappuccino. Quantities change randomly and it is very hard to program (it will stop randomly in the middle of programming). Espressos and Lungos are ok but all the milk drinks are very uneven. I spent a few hours on the phone with Nespresso customer support and they were helpful but all they could do was help me reset it to factory settings which helped a bit with the frothing for a while but the factory settings do NOT make the drinks they are supposed to ... MoreWe had the older Latissima model for 8 years and loved it. When my inissia died before Black Friday I decided it was time to treat myself to a new machine and I decided to upgrade (so I thought). I read reviews and watched videos debating between this and the creatista which was on sale for a similar price around that time. I picked this because I thought it would be more convenient, but I’d honestly rather use my old machine if I could than this. I really wish I tried the creatista instead. It’s not consistent. We purchased this approx 1 month ago as a replacement for the old lattissima we had had for about 8 or 9 years and so far we aren't impressed.The milk frother pours water into the cup on the first coffee after the milk frother is attached to the machine and every coffee seems to taste a little strange.The old machine was bullet proof until it died of exhaustion and the new model which we were really hoping would be a like for like replacement is just not in the same class. There is little to anything about the machine that doesn't feel like it will break at the first opportunity and from a name like delonghi it is quite disappointing.
Cool coffee machine.It's a pleasure to use it to prepare delicious coffee drinks.Cleaning this unit is not difficult.The coffee machine is quite functional. Quite a wide variety of coffee drink recipes.Since I am lactose intolerant, I was pleased to be able to make milk-coffee drinks using plant-based milk. The drinks are delicious.The coffee machine also has a beautiful and laconic design.I'm happy with my purchase.
It’s on. It’s compact so fits neatly in a small kitchen. The milk holder is an issue. Where to top attaches to the bottom, it’s very easy to knock them apart and spill your entire contents of milk everywhere. The water compartment at the rear has also been faulty for us and 2 times out of 10 refills, we’ll find it’s leaked all over the bench. It makes OK coffee. But just ok, in my opinion. I wouldn’t buy it again. Hence I’m on the lookout for something better, 6 months on. I’ve had enough of it.

The rear mounted water reservoir however, barely makes it a week of pouring daily flat whites and running a purge shot with milk cleaning after each use. I would like to have seen just 8-10 oz more to accommodate daily drinks and cleaning without worrying about capacity, as well as a side mounted reservoir. The detachable milk carafe allows you to easily store it in the fridge, making it a breeze to connect when you are making a milk based drink. The carafe is also easy to clean by simply turning the knob and the Gran Lattissima rinses the milk system for you. For deep cleaning or storage, it easily disassembles with a turn the other direction. During operation, the Gran Lattissima is slightly louder than my retired Keurig but the quality of coffee it produces is no comparison. Thanks to the 19-bar pump and automatic operation, the machine makes the best coffee I have had from any home coffee machine, producing nice crema and smooth flavor. It really is surprising what this little machine can accomplish at the push of a button. If you are looking for a high quality coffee machine that can produce a large assortment of beverages (Lungo, Espresso, Ristretto, Macchiato, Latte, Flat White, Cappuccino, Hot Milk and Foam) that rivals your local coffee shop yet still fits under your counter, the Gran Lattissima is hard to beat!
