Really impressed with this mulch. Covered an in ground bed with it and it kept weeds out for months (when normal mulch would've seen weeds come up in a few weeks). I've since bought another ten bags. We spread it about an inch thick.It's pricey, but well worth it. It's improved our rubbish soil so much.Yes it smells (as suggested by the name and content) but manure will do that. The smell doesn't stay.

I used this product last year after seeing results at Mornington Botanical Rose Garden, using it on my roses, veggie plot & pots. It's full of beneficial bacteria, is nutrient rich, is a super absorbent mulch, conserves moisture & suppresses weeds. It is quite costly, but worth it. I had good results so have purchased in 2020.The bags are heavy & cumbersome. It was great to buy mine during lockdown click & collect...let someone else load it in the car!!. Beware though, it does have a strong farmyard smell!

This is the best mulch for adding nutrients and water holding capacity to your garden. Has enriched my sandy soil so much that my roses have never performed better. It is a good looking, fine textured, chocolate coloured mulch, it is not compacted hard into the bale so it is easy to spread around. It stays well on the beds. Water in well and the smell disappears after a few days.

I think my garden is loving this stuff. It was recommended to me by a landscaper. There are a couple of issues though. The dog loves to eat it and it's not good for her, watch out for your pets! Also I got contact dermatitis from it - a rash and blistering on my stomach from carrying the wet bags around. I didn't use gloves and my hands were okay but soft skin is vulnerable so wear protective clothing!
I have used this product for my roses, peonies, hydrangeas, lemon and lime initially with great result. Then purchased more to use for other parts of my garden. If the price is a little lower I’d be able to use this to my whole garden.One other thing I love about this product is, unlike other mulch, birds are leaving it alone!!! The smell only last for a few days and I don’t mind it. What good garden products don’t have smells?!I will keep using this product every year.
The smell isn't too bad, organic. I've only just put it on the garden so hopefully it performs. I love Neutrog products and because this was rated so well I bought it even though it's a bit expensive. But the bags had gnats all through them which I've noticed after spreading it all over the garden. Disappointed because the mulch looks good, don't think I'd buy it again though because of the gnats.
This product says it covers 3-6 square metres. My garden is 12 square metres and I purchased 4 bags but ended up having to buy another 6 bags to finish the job, so I disagree with the stated coverage. The product looks good and is easily spread. Hopefully it will provide fertiliser for the garden and time will tell, but it proved to be a very expensive exercise to mulch my garden.
I first used this 18 months ago, it is the most amazing product. It has made a huge difference to both a horrid clay ridden flower bed as well as raised garden beds. The veg and flowers thrived, there was also an increase in worms. Unlike some sugar cane mulches that stop the water getting through, this product not only let it through to where it was needed but it helped keep the soil moist longer. It is pricey but it does go a long way and does exactly what it says it will. I never really noticed a smell as some have mentioned, but end of the day it is a garden and nothing wrong with a bit of earthy goodness blowing in the breeze.
For many years using all different mulches, despite of feeding the roses I still had issues of roses problems on leaves and blooms. Since I started using this WHOFLUNGDUNG 4 years ago, to mulch my roses and all around the garden, I no longer have any issues with roses, no need to spray anything, the rose leaves are healthy and blooming even into early Winter before hard pruning. Since using this product, I have more time to do other things. Only need to deadheading the wilted flowers. Passing by people asked me of the secrets from my roses: I told them about Whoflungdung. One lady came back telling me she bought one bag and put in her backyard garden and she was so happy with quick result for her garden.
More appropriate “ who flung rocks and brick particles “???Have used perhaps 20 bags thus far, spread in bulk, did notice the odd rock and brick particle.In this instance I need to “ bucket” the material to site; First becket out of the pack revealed a handful, yes a handfulOf gravel, rock and brick material.NOT impressed!
