Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser 200 ml

I have used the deep clean. I enjoy this product because a lot of deep cleaning facial products burn my face or they feel like it’s peeling a layer off, not with neutrogena! This product is absolutely amazing, it cleans my face and leaves it feeling and looking cleaner without feeling as though I’ve lost layers of skin. Would definitely recommend this for most people. People who have very sensitive skin I would suggest checking with a doctor before purchasing.

This worked well for me at first. My face felt super clean, and you can see how much dirt is removed by the water color in the sink. I guess our faces do carry a lot of dirt, or this just works great! But I noticed after about two weeks my skin was starting to dry out. Which surprised me because it’s alcohol free, but it does contain hydroxy acid. Maybe that ingredient doesn’t work well with my skin. The product does say it’s targeted for normal to oily skin. I’d recommend but buy with caution.

Excellent product, I usually use the peach exfoliate by st.ives once a weak and this is basically the same but about 20-30% of the abrasive bits. So it's great for daily use! :) couldnt be more happy with it. This along with a facial moisturizer (with a minimum SPF of 15-20) will give you some AMAZING and healthy skin. Been my regiment for years. Also use biore nose/pore strips!!!! After washing face so your pores are open to be cleaned by the strip.

1st use swollen rash that burned and iched

I had bought just the original acne control cleanser its amber in color. With high hopes that I had found a hypoallergenic cleanser to help with acne I awoke to itchy, red, swollen, rash covered face. It took roughly 2 days to subside. I had only had this happen 1 other time and that was when I tried proactively, so I assumed it was the benzoyl peroxide but the active ingredient in the bottle of neutrogena was salicylic acid and i have used that numerous times and still do. And it was the only product I had used on my face. So yes I was disappointed but mostly that I couldn't explain it... and I know everyone's allergies are different so please dont take this review as I'm out here slandering your good name...just because it didnt work for me doesn't mean it's not a ... MoreI had bought just the original acne control cleanser its amber in color. And on the question below this comment I'm going to say yes to because everyone is different and that friend may like it but it will come with a friendly warning for a skin patch test just to possibly save some from how my experience turned out. P.S it was an odd rash like you couldn't really see it because I was red and swollen but I could feel it when touching my face as if my skin had the same feel as kinda like the smallest grit of sand paper.

Bad reaction

I’m not one to post reviews, but felt I should with this. I am looking for another facial cleanser for oily skin and decided to try this as it was dermatologist recommended. Two days after using it, I started to develop a rash around my mouth and jaw line and sensitivity around my eyes. Day three I am now experiencing burning all over my face. I don’t have sensitive skin and have never had issues with any other skincare and judging by other’s experiences, it sounds like this is something that needs to get looked into. Very disappointed and would definitely not recommend.

Bad skin reaction

This is my fifth night using this product. The first two mornings after using it I noticed my face felt very dry and tight. Didn't think much of it until the 3rd time using it and the next morning I woke up with swollen eye lids and under eyes and dry patches on my chin. My eyes are still swollen the next day. I've never had a product do this to my skin, and so quickly. I stupidly used it again tonight just I be sure and my face is very itchy. I'm afraid to know what I'll look like tomorrow. I moisturized really good and it still feels really tight and dry. I used your Neutrogena Naturals face wash/makeup remover product for many years and loved it so much but can no longer find it. It was such a great product please bring to back.

Dries out/strips skin

I've been using this for about a month and my skin has been getting worse. It's the only thing I changed up in my face routine so I'm assuming it's the culprit. It doesn't irritate me when I wash but I feel like it's gradually chemically stripped my skin of its natural oils and dried it out a lot to the point where fine lines/dark spots/sun damage that weren't noticeable before are now prominent. It's also created these extremely dry patches that look like sun burn. I have combo skin and the only area that hasn't been as affected is my nose which is my oily zone so perhaps this should only be used by those with oily skin. I thought maybe it was just the change in weather but usually when it gets warmer my skin gets better not drier. It is AMAZING, but careful.

I have been using this product for 4-5 years now, and I have rarely ever bought makeup wipes thanks to it. In the beginning I used a charcoal cleanser with this, but I ditched it when I noticed this one does everything on its own, and I didn't need the excessive washing! It is super great in the shower for use on other oily or dirty parts of your body, sensitive places too. Also, I use two (very harsh) prescription acne medications--both topical, and I have never experienced any such reactions to the skin like I have heard from other people. For reference, I am incredibly oily skinned: my plain bare face can turn into a oil slick just after 10 minutes, and as I mentioned earlier, I use prescription acne medications for my severe acne prone skin and ENLARGED pores. I have sensitivity to fragrances too, and this product is scented but I have zero issues! For guys, the fragrance is unisex and doesn't linger. This works great for daily use or to remove dirt, makeup, or anything really. My friends have used this at sleepovers, and they did not have irritations... I believe the reason for other people's poor experience with this product is that it contains salicylic acid, which those who are sensitive skinned may want to run away from this formula, especially sensitive-fair skin. Overusing salicylic acid can cause irritations, so I would avoid washing more than twice a day if you are anything less than combination skinned, new to the product, or not used to harshness like me. Over time, your skin should adjust, and you will reap the benefits for sure. If you are oily, you still should not overload your face with this stuff no matter if you are used to it. It works, and a little goes a long way. I use about half a pump every wash. Deep Clean is pure magic.

Please do not buy

There is something wrong with this product seeing that there are so many reviews of people with similar negative experiences. After the first few days of using this face wash I started getting small pimples around my mouth and chin with a burning sensation. The entire area was red. I thought it was just my skin so I passed on the cleanser to my brother instead of throwing it out. He used it a few days and started developing the same rash. Unacceptable that a product like this is out on the market. I wonder how research and testing did not flag these symptoms that so many are experiencing. Neutrogena should recall and investigate.

painful nightmare

I used this for less than a week. I developed a painful dry rash-like in my lips and around. I could barely open my mouth my the last day. Sadly, It took me a second to realize it was this product I just started using. The minute I washed my face with something else I started feeling the difference. By day two after I stopped using this Neutrogrena, my lips are almost fully back to normal. Just a bit of redness left. For the love of your face, DO NOT BUY THIS. I so wish I saw reviews first :(
